The field wasn't the only thing seeing action during Monday night's World Baseball Classic showdown between Mexico and the United States of America ... a brawl broke out in the stands between fans of the two countries, and it was ugly!

The fight went down in the outfield seats at Daikin Park in Houston, and was captured on video. The clip shows a man in Team Mexico gear running up on another man rockin' Team USA swag, before the two start swinging on each other.

While we don't know what kicked off the festivities, both sides landing solid blows -- with the supporter of the red, white and blue taking a nasty tumble down the stairs at one point.

Seattle Mariners stars Cal Raleigh and Randy Arozarena might be trying to win a World Series together, but they were anything but teammates on Monday ... and that was made clear during a handshake snub in the USA vs. Mexico matchup at the World Baseball Classic.

The drama kicked off as Arozarena made his way up to the batter's box for his first plate appearance ... and when he leaned over to show some sportsmanship to the Big Dumper, the catcher left him hanging.

Arozarena was spotted listening closely to whatever Raleigh was saying ... but it turns out he wasn't having any of it -- 'cause he went off about the matter in a postgame interview.

Suni Lee did it big for her 23rd birthday ... making her way to Turks & Caicos with her friends for a poolside party -- and the views were gold-medal worthy!!

The Team USA gymnast -- whose special day is March 9 -- documented the trip on social media ... showing the group rocking "I heart Suni Lee" shirts and surprising her with "happy birthday" balloons.

But the highlight of the trip was apparently lounging by the water ... which turned into the backdrop for some TikToks.

Suni and her crew hopped in front of the camera to show off their moves ... as well as the sick setup they had at the mansion.

Jack Hughes says the U.S. men’s hockey team felt the pressure in the best way possible after watching the women bring home gold -- because once that happened, they knew they had to finish the job.

TMZ Sports caught up with Hughes during a fan event at Raising Cane's … where the Olympic champ helped serve fans alongside Team USA women’s star, Caroline Harvey.

Hughes says he and his brother, fellow NHL defenseman Quinn Hughes, were actually in the building for the women’s gold medal game -- and the nerves were real.

Dwight Howard may have filed for divorce Monday ... but TMZ has learned his estranged wife, Amber Howard, headed to court the same day to do the exact same thing.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Amber was also filing with her attorney ... but Dwight beat her to the punch, and his paperwork was processed first.

Despite the dueling divorce moves, we're told the estranged couple is still living together under the same roof at their marital home in Georgia for now.

Dwight Howard and his wife, Amber Howard, have had a chaotic couple of weeks -- and it goes well beyond what’s played out publicly online -- because cops have been called to their Georgia home three separate times in the past two weeks.

A rep for the Gwinnett Police Department tells TMZ ... officers were dispatched to the former NBA star's mansion in Suwanee, GA three times over the past 14 days ... including for a suicide threat call, a domestic incident and a theft report.

The exact circumstances surrounding the three calls remain unclear.

Sherrone Moore copped a plea deal in his criminal case, but he's not completely out of the woods -- Paige Shiver's attorney tells TMZ Sports the former Michigan football staffer is not ruling out suing the coach and the school.

Moore pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors last week ... with the three original charges, including felony home invasion, getting dropped.

Both Shiver and her lawyer, Andrew M. Stroth, expressed disappointment with the deal ... urging the University of Michigan to take accountability for its "painful missteps." Stroth also said Shiver endured years of harassment and manipulation, leaving her "pressured, intimidated, and unable to escape conduct that should never occur in any workplace -- let alone at a public university."

That said, a potential lawsuit against Moore and/or the U-M is not out of the question.

"Magic City Night" at the Atlanta Hawks game is no more -- the NBA just swooped in and canceled the highly anticipated March 16 promotion due to concerns raised throughout the league about giving a strip club the spotlight.

Commish Adam Silver made the announcement minutes ago ... saying, "When we became aware of the Atlanta Hawks' scheduled promotion, we reached out to Hawks leadership to better understand their plans and rationale."

"While we appreciate the team's perspective and their desire to move forward, we have heard significant concerns from a broad array of league stakeholders, including fans, partners, and employees."

Indoor football player and college standout Jordan Jones tragically lost his life over the weekend in Georgia ... after he was shot outside of a bar while trying to break up a fight. He was only 28.

The Acworth Police Department said officers were dispatched to Saddle Bar for a shooting around 2:42 AM on Saturday. When they arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and rendered aid.

He later succumbed to his injuries at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.

APD's investigation revealed the victim was Jones, who was working as a security guard at the bar.

The Virginia State Police, U.S. Marshal, and FBI are still searching for missing high school football coach Travis Turner, who is wanted for allegedly possessing child pornography and using a computer to solicit a minor.

Law enforcement provided an update on the search on Monday, four months after Turner, a former Union High School football coach, disappeared in late November, just before Special Agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations unit visited his home in Appalachia as part of their probe.

He is wanted on five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor.

"Police are actively searching for Turner, who is considered a fugitive," VSP said.

Over two months after New England Patriots defensive lineman Christian Barmore was hit with domestic assault charges ... officials in Massachusetts have now dropped the case against him -- saying that it was "not viable for prosecution."

The decision came down moments ago in an Attleboro courtroom ... where prosecutors said that following the updated information, they were going to file notice to formally drop the case against Barmore.

"Mr. Barmore is grateful to the District Attorney's Office for carefully evaluating the facts,
reviewing the materials that his attorney shared with them, and acting in the interests of justice," David Meier, Barmore's attorney, said in a statement

He was initially charged in connection with an incident that occurred in August 2025. According to a police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, a woman told cops that Barmore became angry with her after a disagreement over the temperature of the bedroom air conditioner.

Former NBA star Dwight Howard filed for divorce from his wife Amber Howard -- hours after she made bombshell accusations against him online, TMZ has learned. 

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Dwight filed for divorce on Monday morning. He listed the date of marriage as January 11, 2025, but said they are not separated, with no hope of reconciliation. 

Dwight said the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” He noted that they had no children. 

Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos' split a month before their wedding had nothing to do with money -- sources tell TMZ Sports the "report" making rounds on social media is complete B.S.

The speculation started shortly after we broke the news on Saturday -- one rumor getting picked up is that Sarah Jane didn't want to sign off on Dak protecting his assets if their marriage went south ... leading to the argument in the Bahamas that ultimately ended their engagement.

The NHL is catching serious heat after disciplining Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brandon Hagel ... 'cause a lot of hockey fans think the punishment didn’t go nearly far enough.

The league announced Monday it has fined Hagel $5,000 -- the maximum allowed under the NHL’s collective bargaining agreement -- after determining he was the aggressor in an altercation with Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin during Sunday's heated matchup.

Notably, Hagel was not suspended … a decision that has sparked plenty of outrage online.

Many fans argued the hit -- which came after Dahlin appeared to disengage from the play -- warranted a suspension instead of what amounts to the league’s standard maximum fine.

Pat Mahomes Sr. is staying out of prison for now -- a judge decided to keep the former major leaguer on probation.

The former MLB pitcher appeared before a Smith County judge Monday after prosecutors accused him of violating the terms of his probation tied to his 2024 felony DWI case.

Mahomes Sr. has been serving five years’ probation after pleading guilty, but authorities claimed he broke the terms of his probation by allegedly drinking alcohol -- with the probation violation report stating he had a high reading on his SCRAM alcohol ankle monitor on Jan. 1.

Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos have informed their wedding guests the ceremony is officially off ... and TMZ Sports has obtained the email the former couple sent out to apologize for the last-minute cancellation.

We received the note from one of the 250 people slated to attend the destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy on April 10 ... which reads as follows:

"It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers."
