Umar Nurmagomedov -- Khabib's cousin -- tells TMZ Sports those who tune to UFC 321 next weekend are going to see exactly "how Nurmagomedovs come back" from adversity.

The 29-year-old is slated to fight Mario Bautista on the loaded card ... and while he recorded his first-ever loss the last time he was in an Octagon (vs. Merab Dvalishvili in January), he's still as confident as ever.

In fact, he told us fans will see exactly how those with his famous last name return from setbacks once he steps foot in Abu Dhabi for the big Oct. 25 tilt.

Doug Martin -- a former running back who last played in the NFL in 2018 -- has died ... TMZ has learned.

A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ Martin passed away Saturday morning ... though they did not share any further details.

Martin was a standout RB at Boise State for four years before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted him in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Jesus Montero -- an ex-Major League Baseball player with the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees -- has died ... according to tribute post from the Yankees.

The team shared a photo of Montero to X Sunday morning ... writing, "The Yankees are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jesús Montero. We send our sincerest condolences to his family & loved ones."

The Seattle Times -- citing Venezuelan outlets -- reported earlier this month that Montero was driving a motorcycle in his home country when he was hit by a pickup truck. He was rushed to a hospital in the city of Valencia. Newsweek reported he was intubated at the hospital.

Rashee Rice is officially back in the game ... making his long awaited return to Arrowhead Stadium after a wild year filled with injury, controversy, and suspension.

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver hit the field Sunday at Arrowhead, ahead of the team’s matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders, after missing the first six games of the season while serving an NFL suspension for violating the league’s personal-conduct policy ... punishment tied to his role in a car crash back in March 2024.
