It is April Fools' Day, but Robert Kraft wasn't joking around when announcing the newest addition to the Patriots Hall of Fame -- saying he personally asked Bill Parcells to join the exclusive club, despite the well-documented beef between the two.

Kraft informed reporters of his decision while out at the annual league meeting in Florida on Tuesday ... revealing the Big Tuna will formally go into the team's HOF later this year.

"In the early 1990s, the Patriots were in disarray," Kraft said in a statement after making the announcement. "But the hiring of Bill Parcells in 1993, a two-time Super Bowl Champion, brought instant credibility to the franchise. We had never had a head coach with his credentials."

BYU commit AJ Dybantsa brought out the star power in a dunk contest on Monday ... enlisting Angel Reese as a prop for a jaw-dropping slam!!

Brett Gardner's 14-year-old son Miller may have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) announced Monday.

OIJ Director Rándall Zúñiga revealed via a press briefing high levels of carbon monoxide were detected in the Gardner family's hotel room at the Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort in Manuel Antonio.

Zúñiga also noted in his native Spanish language that the family's room was located next to "a specialized machine room" which may have caused the contamination ... leading Miller to inhale a fatal amount of "these highly dangerous gases."

Nigerian professional boxer Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju tragically passed away over the weekend ... after the light heavyweight fighter collapsed during an eight-round bout.

The Ghana Boxing Authority confirmed the death of the 13-8 boxer ... stating during the third round of the match, Olanrewaju fell back into the ropes without any contact from his opponent, 12-1 Ghanaian fighter Jon Mbanugu.

Referee Richard Amevi immediately stopped the fight when he realized something was wrong with Olanrewaju ... and the ringside physician and EMS administered aid, including CPR.
