Gold Medalist Eric Radford Trudeau and Canada Embraces Openly Gay Athletes

Published | Updated

Justin Trudeau makes gay athletes feel lucky as hell while President Trump and his lackeys make them feel like second-class citizens ... that's the sad truth according to the first openly gay athlete to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics.

Canada's Eric Radford says he's gotten a hero's welcome after he and figure skating partner Meagan Duhamel won gold this week in PyeongChang.

It's a stark contrast to the drama U.S. figure skater Adam Rippon's dealing with after snubbing Veep Mike Pence, who invited Rippon to meet with him after his bronze win. Rippon declined ... citing Pence's staunch opposition for gay rights (he once referred to gay marriage as "societal collapse").

Check it out ... Radford extends his own invite to Rippon. Guessing he'll definitely accept!

TOO SOON TO TELL

Ronda Rousey's UFC resume kicks ass, but we gotta pump the brakes on calling her the next big thing in wrestling -- so says WWE superstar Randy Orton.

With all the buzz Ronda's gotten since her Royal Rumble appearance, our guy asked Randy if he thinks she's on the fast track to the Mount Rushmore of Pro Wrestling.

The 13-time champ wasn't having it -- telling TMZ Sports it's way too soon to make those kinds of comparisons. After all, Rousey hasn't even had A SINGLE MATCH.

"She has a good chance of being one of the top female wrestlers eventually, but she’s got a long way to go," Orton told TMZ Sports outside LAX.

"The Legend Killer" would know, right?

Fergie at NBA All-Star Game Roasted for Slow & Sexy Nat'l Anthem ... Hollywood Piles On

Published | Updated

Fergie sang the National Anthem to kick off the 2018 NBA All-Star game, and most everyone seemed to hate it ... including Hollywood.

Tons of stars blasted Fergie for her sultry rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner Sunday night ahead of a mega showdown between Stephen Curry and LeBron James' all-star squads. Charles Barkley wanted to dive right in afterward ... but Shaq wouldn't let him.

Leslie Jones had some thoughts, too ... wondering "Why did this happen?" and even suggesting the organizers might as well have had her sing it.

Hell, even a state senator from Oklahoma got in on the hating.

Draymond Green's reaction was probably the best, though. It was live and raw, and there was no hiding how he really felt about it ... LOLOLOL. Yeah, that about sums it up.

Keep your head up, Fergie. There's always next year ... or not.

NO ONE STANDS A CHANCE

The Internet sensation who ended a young man's basketball career with a devastating move this week says she's looking for her next victim -- and the guy might just be Harlem Globetrotter Mani Love.

We spoke with Jazmine, the woman who went viral this week after a ridiculous, sensational, almost sinister move destroyed a guy at her local gym, and she wants to embarrass more men.

"Some guys they don't know and they don't play up on me and I'm like, play defense, 'cause I want the credit, so when I cross you, you can't even say I wasn't playing defense on you."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

It's not just regular guys who can get it from Jazmine -- the Internet fame has brought celebrities into her DMs, including one Harlem Globetrotter with a basketball death wish.

"You know Mani Love? Me and him are playing in the summer. We have a bet."

Careful Jazmine, Mani is known for breakin' ankles himself. Actually, both of you guys should prolly wear braces.

O.J. Simpson Plant Your Ass in 'Naked Gun' Chair ... For the Right Price

Published | Updated

More of O.J. Simpson's crap can be yours -- like his set chair from "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult" -- but his ass ain't behind this piece of memorabilia.

The guy who owns the chair tells TMZ ... he bought it for $500 in the early 2000s and says it's the one he used during the filming of the 1994 flick -- the same year O.J. was arrested and charged with the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman.

The guy says the chair once fetched as much as $5,000 from another auction site, but pulled the plug. It's now on eBay and the asking bid's $1,495.

As for why the guy's selling now ... these days he's more into collecting musician items. And with O.J. free and out on parole, maybe the lucky buyer can get O.J.'s John Hancock on the new chair.

Aaron Rodgers to Danica Patrick Here's a Lucky Kiss For Your Last NASCAR Race

Published | Updated

Danica Patrick went into her final NASCAR race ever with a good luck smooch from Aaron Rodgers ... and while the event might be her personal finale, this pic might be a debut.

TMZ Sports has obtained a photo of the new couple giving each other a kiss ahead of Danica's last NASCAR race of her career -- the 2018 Daytona 500. After this, she's retiring.

Eyewitnesses tell us Aaron and Danica puckered up right after the National Anthem ended, before she got into her car at the starting line.

As we reported ... Danica and Aaron went public with their relationship after we posted photos of them out to dinner with some friends in Arizona. They were also recently seen at their first coupley event a couple weeks ago in Cali. Now, this appears to be their first public kiss caught on camera.

Unfortunately, Danica suffered a crash during Stage 2 and couldn't complete the race. She might not have placed ... but we'd say she was already winning from the start.

ALL GOOD IN THE HOOD

The Game wants everyone who's pissed at Cardi B for dissing the Crips to chill out and let the whole thing go ... 'cause he says she meant nothing by it.

We got the Compton rapper Saturday night at Penthouse in WeHo, where he'd just seen Cardi perform ... one of 3 stops she's making for All-Star weekend. He says he spoke to her about her inciting Crip comment, acknowledging the seriousness of the situation.

Our camera guy asks if he defused anything between Cardi and the Crips, but he denies getting involved. He does come to her defense, though ... telling folks who were offended to relax, and to also respect Cardi's position as an East Coaster.

Not sure if that'll go a long way coming from a guy who's Blood affiliated. But hey, take it for what it's worth.

Jamie Foxx The Renaissance Man strikes again -- this time sending NBA legend Byron Scott back to school during an impromptu shooting contest.

Jamie and Byron were attending an All-Star-themed event Saturday night at the Jeremy hotel in WeHo, where they got into a little three-point shooting contest on the fly.

Eyewitnesses tell us Jamie drained at least 3 shots from distance out of 10 ... while Byron hit NONE. Yes, Byron Scott -- who's known as a three-point guru -- hit zero 3-pointers.

The discrepancy didn't go unnoticed, especially by Jamie. He points out what most everyone already knows about the dude -- he can kinda do it all. Game, hats.

Rich the Kid's performance at a Hollywood nightclub as part of NBA All-Star Weekend was interrupted in a big way after a man was seen brandishing a gun in the parking lot.

Cops descended on Lure nightclub after getting the 911 call, and the video is gripping and dramatic. You see police with guns drawn ordering people out of their cars.

People inside the club ran for cover into the streets as an army of cops searched for the suspect.

The parking lot is also used for the ArcLight theatre, which was showing "Black Panther." We're told the movie was not interrupted.

BRUTAL BEATDOWN

Twista rendered a man helpless while his friend repeatedly pounded away at the guy.

It went down after Twista left the Michael Jordan party in Bel-Air during NBA All-Star Weekend. A shuttle took party-goers from a parking lot to the home where the shindig was going down.

At around 1:30 AM Saturday, Twista had taken the shuttle back to the parking lot and apparently got into it with a guy who had been heckling people on the shuttle bus. He apparently was harassing several women on the bus and generally being obnoxious.

We're told the guy started recording one of the women, saying, "I want to see the face of stupid."

Twista came to the defense of the women and the guy challenged the rapper once they got off the bus.

Twista obliged.

BETTER TIMES AHEAD

Johnny Manziel says his bipolar disorder and depression got so bad at one point, he legitimately thought the world was coming to an end.

But, Johnny tells TMZ Sports he was able to pull his life back together ... and he wants people struggling with the same issues to know there's hope.

Manziel spoke to us about his mental health struggles on the heels of his bombshell "Good Morning America" interview -- saying he "felt like the end of the world was near and that I would never make it out."

FYI, Johnny told 'GMA' he was diagnosed as bipolar in 2017 ... after years of self-medicating with booze to cope with depression.

Now, Manziel says he has a positive outlook on life as he tries to mount a pro football comeback.

"To be where I'm at today and see hope and see a light ... I feel blessed to be able to have fought through the bad times," he told us at Delilah in L.A. -- where his GF, Bre Tiesi, was hosting an event.

And his message to others battling bipolar disorder/depression -- "As dark as it gets, eventually times will get better."

UFC's Khabib Nurmagomedov Dishes on Meeting Cristiano Ronaldo He LOVES the UFC (and Me)

Published | Updated

How big of an MMA fan is Cristiano Ronaldo?

So massive, that Real Madrid brought UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov to meet him in Spain so the 2 could bro down ... this according to Khabib himself.

"He know everything about the UFC," Nurmagomedov told TMZ Sports outside Jay Glazer's Unbreakable Performance Center in Hollywood.

FYI, the meet-up went down at Real's training center in Madrid ... where the two Euro-sport mega-stars talked fighting and exchanged gifts (Khabib got a signed ball and jersey).

If this feels familiar, it's probably 'cause Conor McGregor -- Khabib's arch-nemesis -- also kicked it with Cristiano. Ronaldo visited Conor before his first Nate Diaz fight ... facing off with McGregor at his private gym in Vegas.

No way of knowing which fighter Cristiano likes more -- Ali and Khabib claim it's Khabib, of course -- but Ronaldo did look pretty pumped wearing Khabib's signature papakha hat.

WORTH THE MONEY

U.S. soccer legend Alexi Lalas loves the idea of Zlatan Ibrahimović coming to play stateside ... but he's warning the league -- DON'T GET SCREWED ON THE PRICE!

Remember, Lalas was the GM of the L.A. Galaxy when the team (and the league) signed a 31-year-old David Beckham to a deal in 2007 that ultimately paid him $255 million!!!

Now, with rumors 36-year-old Zlatan is thinking of making a similar move -- we had to ask Lalas how he would handle the situation.

"If Zlatan wants to come, if he doesn't cost too much money ... then I think it's something the Galaxy and MLS have to do. I think it would be wonderful on and off the field. He's worth the price of admission."

"He's a character on and off the field," Lalas added.

It's true -- Zlatan's got his own cologne, underwear line ... and once performed on a song that hit the Swedish music charts.

Enjoy ...
