Atlanta Hawks player DeAndre' Bembry was arrested early Friday morning -- after cops say they clocked him hitting 128 mph in a 55!!!!!!!

Yeah, we asked the cops what he was driving -- a purple Dodge Charger.

The Atlanta Police Dept. tells us ... cops were monitoring speed on the I-85 around 12:20 AM when Bembry's purple speed machine came blazing through ... so they tracked him down and pulled him over.

The 23-year-old -- who was a 1st round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft -- was arrested for reckless driving and speeding.

So far, Bembry has played in 18 games this year -- averaging 4.8 points a game and just over 2 rebound.

Bembry had a solid career at Saint Joseph's -- where he was a 2-time 1st team All-Atlantic 10 player.

Soccer legend Abby Wambach doesn't seem too worried for Adam Rippon in his spat with Vice President Mike Pence ... telling TMZ Sports, "I think [Rippon] can handle himself."

Rippon -- an openly gay U.S. figure skater -- has been blasting Pence in the media over the V.P.'s stance on gay rights, even saying he wanted to skip a meet-and-greet with him.

So, when we saw Wambach -- who's also an openly gay athlete -- we had to ask her opinion ... and even though she was trying to play it cool, it was obvious she's got Rippon's back.

Team USA athletes have made their way across the world to South Korea, and they're all geared up to hit the ice and snow ... to bring home some hardware!

Lindsey Vonn (with her doggo, Lucy), Shaun White, Alex Shibutani and Sam Michener are among the 244 athletes on the U.S. Team in PyeongChang for today's Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics.

Philadelphia Eagles lineman Jason Kelce just gave one of the greatest Super Bowl parade speeches EVER -- blasting the team's haters in an expletive-laden, WWE-style scream-athon.

AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Kelce was decked out in his full Mummers costume -- and named names of writers/media members who predicted doom for the Eagles this year.

He cussed. He spat. He yelled a lot. He got the crowd to chant every time he took a breath.

Of course, his teammates and coaches loved it.

The man who tried rushing Larry Nassar in court last week says he's giving away the $31,000 people have raised for his defense to charity.

Randall Margraves -- the father of 3 of Nassar's victims -- released a statement Thursday, saying he'd be donating all leftover contributions from the $31k in a recently-established GoFundMe account in his name to several charities that support survivors of sexual abuse.

Margraves says he's willing to refund anyone who already donated to the account, and that anything left over after March 9 will be given to charities like Small Talk, RAVE and the Firecracker Foundation.

As we reported ... Margraves tried attacking Nassar in court last Friday, telling the judge he wanted alone time with the convict as part of his new sentence -- up to 125 years in prison.

The son of former NBA coach Rick Adelman -- who was an assistant NBA coach himself -- was killed in Houston when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Officials confirm 44-year-old R.J. Adelman was walking around downtown Houston around noon on Feb. 2 when he was hit by an 80-year-old woman driving a Chrysler Town & Country minivan.

According to the police report, Adelman was not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident.

Adelman was transported to the hospital in serious condition and was pronounced dead 4 hours later. According to the Harris County medical examiner, Adelman died as a result of blunt force injuries.

The driver was questioned by police and released without charges. However, we're told the accident is still under investigation.

R.J. was a scout for the Sonics and the Kings before becoming an assistant coach with the Houston Rockets while his father was the head coach. He later followed his dad to Minnesota where he took a job as Director of Player Personnel for the Timberwolves.

The Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl parade drew a MASSIVE crowd on Thursday -- with MILLIONS of crazed Bird fans estimated in attendance!!!

The champs pleased the crowd while showing off the city's first Lombardi Trophy ... with Jason Kelce's mummer outfit -- AND expletive-filled speech -- stealing the show.

But the fans also provided plenty of entertainment as well ... bros were crushing porta potties just to get a better look at the action.

And, of course, there was a bit of violence ... but that shouldn't come as a surprise.

Fun fact: Bud Light teamed up with Eagles lineman Lane Johnson to hook fans up with free beer. But who knows if that even had anything to do with the debauchery -- Philly fans be wildin'.

We got doc Oz out in NYC ... and he broke down why Kristaps' season-ending injury ain't the end of the world (just the Knicks' season).

Don't get it twisted -- the celeb surgeon told TMZ Sports Porzingis is gonna have to bust his ass in rehab ... but if he follows a few of his recovery tips, Oz says he can legitimately "come back better than ever before."

An Australian politician is so pissed Ben Simmons didn't make the NBA All-Star game, he took the floor during a government session and alleged a full-fledged "Anti-Australian conspiracy!"

"No one with two brain cells to rub together would want Goran Dragic on their team," M.P. Tim Watts said this week in his Parliamentary address.

FYI, Simmons was born and raised in Australia before moving to the U.S. -- and the people Down Under are clearly bitter he's not getting the love they think he deserves.

"In a record breaking rookie year for the Philadelphia 76ers, Ben is currently averaging nearly 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists per game. He’s already had five triple doubles," Watts said.

He's also upset Australian-born NBA player Joe Ingles was not included in the 3-point contest -- saying, "[It] makes me think there’s some kind of anti-Australian conspiracy going on at league head office at the moment."

"If you thought that Australia was angry about the Simpsons vs. Australia TV episode, Yanks, you ain’t seen nothing yet."

That's what Chris Long and Jason Kelce did Thursday morning before the Super Bowl parade in Philly.

Kelce looks like a genie who was just let out of the bottle (he did grant Philly's wish, after all) and Long says he feels like Ric Flair in his fake fur coat.

*Update -- apparently, Kelce is dressed as a "Mummer," a member of the famous Philly marching band.

Guessing these guys are gonna look tame compared to the insane Philly fans who will be lining the parade route.

Good news for NY Giants' fans -- your best player's injury recovery is going GREAT and Odell Beckham should be back to killing it again in 2018 ... so says Giants co-owner Steve Tisch.

Of course, Odell underwent surgery back in October after he fractured his ankle against the Chargers -- but vowed to "be back better than ever."

So, when we saw Tisch leaving The Palm in Bev Hills we had to ask about Odell's progress.

"His recovery's going very well," Tisch said ... pointing to the amazing "Dirty Dancing" routine he pulled off with Eli Manning in that Super Bowl commercial.

In fact, Tisch was VERY impressed by both guys -- and frankly, so were we.

2 Chainz wants to destroy Snoop Dogg at their NBA All-Star weekend celebrity game -- so, he's hired the guy who trains Joel Embiid and Dwight Howard to get him ready for the showdown.

The man in charge of Tity Boi's game is Drew Hanlen -- a self-described "NBA strategic skills coach and consultant" who's insane client list also includes Bradley Beal, Jayson Tatum, Kelly Oubre and more.

Don't get it twisted ... Tity Boi is a LEGIT athlete -- he played college basketball at Alabama State -- but after spending months in a wheelchair with a broken leg, he's called in the big guns to make sure he's ready for Snoop.

Judging by the training video, Chainz looks good -- showing off his handles, making it rain from 3, and even talking a little trash.
