Conor McGregor is explaining why he "lost it" at an MMA fight in Dublin on Friday -- saying the ref had no business trying to throw him out of the cage.

He also offered up a "f**k yous" to all of his critics.

You remember the incident -- Conor illegally scaled the cage at Bellator 187 after his training partner, Charlie Ward, won by knockout ... and EXPLODED on veteran UFC ref Marc Goddard for breaking up the party. He slapped a regulatory official square in the dome too.

After the fight, everyone was asking the same question -- why did Conor go batsh*t insane?

McGregor tweeted (and then deleted) early Monday morning, saying:

"Bloke KO'd on floor bout a minute straight and ref trying to say fight's not over, Conor. That's when I lost it. F**k yous all."

So, what happens next? Will McGregor be disciplined for getting physical with multiple officials?

Jim Brown is softening his opinion on Colin Kaepernick's kneeling demonstration -- telling TMZ Sports he's decided he's "fine" with NFL players protesting during the national anthem.

The NFL legend had previously lashed out against the protesters back in August -- saying, "I'm an American. I don't desecrate my flag and my national anthem."

But that was months ago ... and when the Cleveland Browns icon was leaving Mastro's Steakhouse in Bev Hills on Sunday, he wanted to make it clear he's changed his tune.

"I think if [NFL players] wanted to kneel and it was within the rules of the game, it's fine with me," Brown said.

He added, "I really don't want to speak for anyone else, and I don't want to be negative about too many things."

Brown's comments came just a few hours before Colin Kaepernick was named GQ's Citizen of the Year.

After putting a 33-7 beatdown on the Houston Texans, the L.A. Rams superstar running back dashed over to Nightingale Plaza in Hollywood to celebrate with a smokeshow date.

NY Giants linebacker Jonathan Casillas should've been a running back -- because it took 5 SECURITY OFFICERS to bring him down during a violent casino clash back in 2012.

We've been making calls for days trying to gather all the info about this crazy video -- and though the details are scarce, here's what we know ...

-- It happened at 6 AM on May 12, 2012 at the Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City

-- Before the video begins, Casillas was pissed ... and walked outside to cool off. You see him throw a potted plant across the valet area.

-- Casillas went back inside and was confronted by several security officers. Things get testy, Casillas tucks his chain, a security officer shoves Casillas and Casillas shoves back

-- Things went nuclear from there. 5 guys tried to take Casillas down. They struggled, but eventually got him to the ground. He was handcuffed and detained.

-- Two Atlantic City PD officers were involved.

We've reached out to the Atlantic City PD to find out if criminal charges were filed. One source connected to the incident says a civil suit was filed ... but unclear who filed it or if it's still active.

Multiple attempts to reach Casillas and his reps were unsuccessful.

Steve Wynn is not keen on OJ Simpson visiting any of his Vegas hotel properties.

We got the mogul Saturday night leaving Craig's in WeHo and asked him about OJ getting booted for life from the Cosmopolitan hotel after allegedly getting drunk and belligerent with staff.

Listen to him say, "OJ is too much excitement for us." The translation is less than a warm welcome.

TMZ Sports obtained docs filed by the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee outlining where it wants to place its slogan "Bold North." There's the obvious -- key chains, magnets, wallets, umbrellas, portable chairs, jigsaw puzzles, toys, temporary tattoos, clothing, etc.

Basically, it looks like everything you'll buy at the stadium will feature the slogan, even the menu items. The trademark gets super specific with the foods they're giving the Bold North name to, including:

-- Sandwiches (brisket, turkey, beef and vegan, too!)

-- Fried chicken

-- Pretzels

-- Pizza, calzones

-- Hot dogs, corn dogs

-- Donuts

-- Burritos, tacos and fajitas

OJ Simpson is livid over reports -- presumably ours -- that he was banned from the Cosmopolitan hotel in Vegas for life after getting drunk at a bar and being belligerent to hotel staff.

Simpson is challenging the story we broke ... that he was at the Clique bar at around midnight Wednesday when he drunkenly started arguments with hotel staff, who called security after glasses broke. Security escorted Simpson out of the building where he is now persona non grata.

Simpson was leaving his lawyer's office Friday when he bristled at the story, saying it was totally untrue. He claims nothing happened, but doesn't explain why the hotel would have banned him for life.

We're told he had been frequenting bars at the Cosmo since his release from prison.

Formula One world champ Lewis Hamilton is ballistic after members of his Mercedes racing team were robbed at gunpoint in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The victims were leaving the circuit track Friday night where Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix will be held, when gunmen stole unspecified valuables.

Hamilton says multiple people on his team were held at gunpoint, and a Mercedes official tells us a team minibus was held up and robbed ... but everyone is safe and uninjured.

Ex-MLB star Josh Beckett was arrested after allegedly going full NFL linebacker on a country band ... completely laying out the singer and causing injuries, TMZ Sports has learned.

We're told the 37-year-old -- who won World Series MVP with the Marlins in 2003 -- was at an open mic night at a country club in Texas with some friends when he jumped on to the stage mid-performance and tackled the singer.

Cops were called to the scene and Beckett was arrested for public intoxication -- the officer said he determined Beckett was "a danger to himself and others."

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Beckett admitted to stage diving and said he hit his leg on the speaker during the incident.

The worst part ... the singer of the band told cops he suffered serious injuries to his arm, neck and shoulder from the incident ... including a torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder.

Cops say the incident is still under investigation.

Beckett's lawyer tells TMZ Josh claims it was an act of horseplay and he didn't mean to hurt him. He's apologized since the incident, and is trying to do what he can to make amends.
