Metta World Peace just casually dropped some BIG basketball news ... telling TMZ Sports he's gonna suit up for Ice Cube's 3-on-3 league next season!!

Metta -- who's already part of Master P's Global Mixed Gender League -- says he's gonna play for BOTH organizations ... on top of being a player developmental coach for the Lakers' G-League affiliate.

It's awesome news for BIG3 fans ... as the rest of next season's new players have yet to be revealed.

The Dodgers and Astros are slugging it out for hardball supremacy, but we here at TMZ Sports decided to take some time to give props to the real MVP's of the series, their hot WAGS.

Obviously these two teams are both championship level, but when you see what the guys have waiting at home, you'll understand just how much each team is already winning.

For the L.A. boys we got the WAGS of Justin Turner, Alex Wood and Kiké Hernandez.

But the guys from deep in the heart aren't slacking either, bringing out the big guns -- Kate Upton -- and the WAGS of OF Jake Marisnick, Tony Kemp and Carlos Correa.

J.J. Watt didn't let a little thing like a broken leg keep him from throwing out the first pitch in a HUGE Game 3 of the World Series in Houston ... and obviously -- the crowd loved it!!!

Watt's a hometown hero for raising more than $37 MILLION for Hurricane Harvey relief ... so you gotta think the fans will give him a pass for the pitch to Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel being juuuuuuust a bit outside.

J.J.'s season with the Texans is over after having a season-ending surgery a few weeks ago ... but clearly he can still have an impact on the baseball field.

Jay-Z's sampling a Shaggy hit to respond to a lawsuit over the Roc Nation logo, basically saying ... it wasn't me!

You'll recall, Jay got sued by Iconix Brand Group, which had purchased the Roc Nation trademark for $204 million, and therefore controls rights to all merchandise with the logo.

In new docs, obtained by TMZ, Jay fires back at Iconix, saying its beef is with the Roc Nation corporation, and not Jay-Z, personally. In essence, he's saying ... don't confuse me with my company, we're separate entities.

The Roc Nation owner says because Iconix hasn't proven he was personally involved in the deals to slap the logo on a bunch of MLB merch ... he should be removed from the lawsuit.

Kim Kardashian will NEVER be able to outrun the stench of her sex tape -- despite her family signing a $150 MILLION reality deal ... so says UFC champ Tyron Woodley.

With Conor McGregor expected to make $100 mil this year -- we had to ask who's had the more impressive career ... and Woodley explained why it's CONOR all the way.

Ex-boxing champ -- turned "Dancing with the Stars" contestant -- Victor Ortiz struck a plea deal in his DUI case ... and he's on thin ice for the next 3 years.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Ortiz was arrested on Sept. 24 of last year in Ventura County, CA around 7 PM when cops pulled over his BMW and smelled booze.

Officials say Ortiz's BAC was MORE than .15 ... which is a huge deal because in California, that triggers a "special allegation" which carries a tougher penalty if convicted ... more jail, higher fines, etc.

But Ortiz caught a huge break -- cutting a deal with prosecutors in which he plead guilty to a misdemeanor DUI and in exchange the "special allegation" was dismissed.

He was sentenced to 3 years probation and 8 days in county jail -- but he'll get credit for time served for 4 days and the remaining 4 days will be served as part of a work release program.

Bizarre twist in the Odell Beckham Sr. arrest -- cops say the NFL star's father was packin' heat and had weed and a scale in his truck when he was arrested.

The makings of a drug deal? Not exactly. He was NOT charged with intent to distribute ... but it doesn't look good.

According to the arrest report obtained by TMZ Sports ... cops pulled Odell's father over after smelling a cloud of marijuana when his truck drove past an officer at a stop sign.

When the officer approached, Odell had a burned out joint in the car and weed in a jar. Cops say they also found a loaded Ruger 9mm pistol with 16 bullets in the clip and 1 in the chamber.

Odell insisted the weed (1.524 ounces) was only for personal use -- he told the cops he thought it was legal to have it in his possession. No explanation for the gun.

Joe Flacco's old teammate says he would've gotten payback on Kiko Alonso for his hard hit that resulted in the QB's concussion ... telling TMZ Sports he "would've ran after" the Dolphins LB right after the vicious blow.

We spoke with Vonta Leach -- who won a Super Bowl with Baltimore in 2013 -- about Alonso's tackle during the the 1st half of Thursday Night Football ... which he believes should've resulted in an ejection.

The 3-time Pro Bowler admits he's upset more players didn't rush to defend their franchise quarterback.

Houston Texans superstar WR DeAndre Hopkins walked out of Texans practice Friday because he was so pissed off at team owner Bob McNair for comparing kneeling players to prison inmates.

Hopkins is the 2nd biggest star on the team behind J.J. Watt -- and according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he was extremely offended by the comments McNair made at a recent NFL owner's meeting.

The comments: "Can't have the inmates running the prison." McNair has apologized but it's clearly not sitting well with Texans players.

Schefter says Hopkins did not practice and left the facility. ESPN is also reporting other Texans players wanted to boycott practice and needed to be convinced to stay.

Now we know why Serena Williams is selling her $12 million Bel Air pad -- she's downsizing ... LIKE A BOSS!!!

The tennis superstar just plunked down $6.7 million on a 6,000 square foot pad in a private gated Bev Hills community, according to Trulia.com.

The place looks AWESOME -- with 5 bedrooms, 7 baths, incredible view, dope backyard with a pool -- but still no tennis court.

As we previously reported, Williams is selling a nearby home she owns for $12 mil. She bought that place a few years back for $6 mil.

So, she flips that house -- pockets $6 mil -- and buys a new dope house for half the price?

Devon Still -- one of the most beloved pro athletes around -- tells TMZ Sports his days of being an NFL player might be coming to an end.

You know Still's story ... he fought alongside his daughter Leah while she battled cancer -- at the same time he was trying to earn a roster spot with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Together, Devon and Leah have raised millions of dollars for cancer research. In fact, Devon and Leah got an ESPY in 2015 -- the Jimmy V Perseverance Award.

But now, the 28-year-old seems to be at crossroads -- he hasn't caught on with a team since being waived by the Jets earlier this year ... so when we saw him in NYC we wanted to know what his future on the gridiron would be.

"I don't know. We'll find out in a couple of weeks. I'll make my decision about whether I'm gonna continue with my NFL career or move on with my next venture in life."

If Still decides to hang up his cleats ... he definitely has a future as a motivational speaker/fundraiser. Millions of people are rooting for him.

Tiger Woods was calm, cool and collected in court, even cracking a smile on his way out after pleading guilty at his DUI hearing in Florida.

The golf legend agreed to enter a DUI diversion program at a hearing that lasted about 10 minutes. He'll also be on probation for 12 months and he must perform 50 hours of community service. The judge was adamant -- the deal means no jail time but he could face up to 90 days in jail if he's found to violate parole.

Tiger was arrested for DUI on May 29 in Jupiter, FL after cops found him asleep at the wheel of his 2015 Mercedes. Once he awoke, Tiger was a discombobulated mess and claimed he was all jacked up from a cocktail of Rx drugs.

Tiger's car had damage and it was clear he was in no shape to be behind the wheel of a car. He was initially charged with 3 misdemeanor counts -- DUI, reckless driving and improper stopping.

If Tiger completes his DUI diversion program, DUI education classes and stays out of trouble for 12 months ... the reckless driving conviction will be wiped from his record.

As part of the diversion program, Tiger is prohibited from drinking alcohol or taking drugs during the probation period.

Tiger has since apologized for the arrest -- saying he didn't know his prescription meds would have such a strong reaction. He also went to rehab.

Metta World Peace wants all basketball critics to CHILL with the Lonzo Ball takes ... 'cause the ex-Laker says it's way too early to tell if the Big Baller is the real deal.

We spoke with Metta -- who just joined the Lakers' G-League team as a player development coach -- about Zo's first week in the NBA ... and he thinks it'll take 3 YEARS to find out if he's legit.

FYI -- Ball's averaging 11.5 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists through 4 games.

7:57 AM PT -- McNair just issued a statement saying, "I regret that I used that expression. I never meant to offend anyone and I was not referring to our players."

"I used a figure of speech that was never intended to be taken literally."

"I would never characterize our players or our league that way and I apologize to anyone who was offended by it."

The owner of the Houston Texans is in hot water after reportedly saying when it comes to players kneeling in the NFL, "You can't have the inmates running the prison."

Bob McNair made the comments during an owners meeting at NFL headquarters in NYC last week, according to ESPN.

But the comment didn't go unchecked -- Troy Vincent, a former NFL player who is now the NFL's Exec. V.P. of Football Operations stood up and told the group he was offended.

Vincent reportedly told McNair that he had been called all sorts of terrible slurs during his NFL career -- inlcuding the N-word -- but never felt like an "inmate."

WWE superstar Enzo Amore says he could care less about being banned from the WWE locker room ... 'cause he's got his own damn green room.

"Bro, I got my own locker room -- literally. That is a fact," Enzo told TMZ Sports outside Poppy in L.A.

"I don't talk to nobody. You know why? 'Cause if you ain't talkin' money, what the hell you talkin' bout?!"

Enzo was playing up his heel character ... but there have been real reports of the cruiserweight champ being shunned after inviting questionable guests backstage.

Doesn't seem like he's sweatin' it, though.

"Being a champion, you wake up in the morning and you piss excellence. The only vowel I'm concerned with is 'I.'"

The San Francisco 49ers are donating $500,000 to help improve police and community relations -- and one of the most influential police groups in L.A. says it's a great first step.

The L.A. Police Protective League -- which represents roughly 10,000 officers -- sent a letter to its members praising the 49ers for the donation, which will also be used to advocate for the ban of bump stocks, which turn semi-automatic weapons into fully automatic ones.

But the letter also acknowledged that there's been a real problem between cops and the NFL recently.

"We have all been angry, frustrated and disappointed with the NFL," the letter states ... "but there is a time for anger and a time for action."

However, the LAPPL says they want to work with the 49ers because of the personal commitment of team owner Jed York -- who has vowed to get "personally involved in improving the relationship between our officers, his team, and the overall public."
