Tom Brady I'm Gonna Be a Buccaneer!!! ... Gisele Says Goodbye to Boston

Published | Updated
UPDATE

8:47 AM PT -- Tom's wife, Gisele, is speaking out about the change of scenery ... thanking the people of Boston for welcoming their family through the years.

UPDATE

"What a ride the last decade has been," Gisele said on Instagram. "Boston has been so good to us and will always be in our hearts. We will forever have wonderful memories."

UPDATE

"Our kids were born and raised there and we have made special friendships to last a lifetime. I’ll miss our friends, the beautiful change of seasons and the rides to the stadium to go cheer for Tom and the Pats."

UPDATE

"Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of my husband and our family throughout all these years. We will miss you!"

UPDATE

5:43 AM PT -- 3/18 -- Could Antonio Brown follow the G.O.A.T. to Tampa??

UPDATE

Brady reportedly wouldn't mind seeing it happen ... NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says, "The word among teams interested in Tom Brady were among the impression that Brady wanted to bring Antonio Brown with him to a new team."

UPDATE

Of course, it's unclear if/when Brown would be able to play if the Bucs signed him ... AB is still under league investigation for a myriad of issues, including allegations of assault and rape.

UPDATE

Brown has been an NFL free agent since the Patriots cut him last fall.

TB to TB.

Tom Brady is going to the Tampa Bay Bucs -- with a deal that will pay him $30 MILLION per season, so says NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

It still sounds like Tom has some I's to dot and T's to cross, but it's essentially a done deal at this point. Unclear how long the contract is for. Guessing it's on the shorter side considering Tom is 42 years old.

BEST DAY EVER FOR MIKE EVANS THO, HUH?!

There is one little issue ... the #12 currently belongs to Bucs star WR Chris Godwin. Will he give it up for free or will Tom have to pay up?!

Of course, the 6-time Super Bowl champ announced he was leaving the New England Patriots on Tuesday morning -- and things developed rapidly after that.

There was reported interest from the Chargers, Dolphins, Raiders and others -- but in the end, the Bucs won out. The Chargers were the last team in the mix before the Bucs came out on top.

Of course, it's a sad day for Pats Nation ... and as owner Robert Kraft put it, "I had hoped he would choose to stay, as a fan and an owner. But, out of respect for the relationship we’ve built, I gave him his freedom."

Brady played 285 games for NE in 20 seasons with the team ... throwing for more than 74,000 yards, 541 TDs ... and oh yeah, winning 6 Super Bowls.

It's the first time Brady was a free agent in his career ... and a new era in the NFL is here.

DeAndre Hopkins Issues with Texans Coach 'Blown Out of Proportion'

Published
UPDATE

9:16 AM PT -- Another twist ... ex-Texans WR Jaelen Strong seems to be backing up Irvin's report.

UPDATE

"This is who Bill O Brien is," Strong wrote in response to Irvin's ESPN segment.

UPDATE

"Y’all thought it was my fault I wasn’t seeing the field. The man simply didn’t like me because I was a product of my environment. PERFORMANCE means nothing. He wasted my first 3 years ultimately ruining my NFL career. I never knew how to kiss ass."

UPDATE

8:56 AM PT -- DeAndre Hopkins is now speaking out about Irvin's claims -- saying, "This is being blown way out of proportion."

UPDATE

"As I’ve said before, I enjoyed and am proud of my time with the Texans. I have the utmost respect for Coach O’Brien and that will not change."

UPDATE

He added, "Now, I’m ready to play for the Cardinals."

DeAndre Hopkins claims Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien scolded him for having multiple baby mamas ... and even compared him to Aaron Hernandez.

... this is all according to Michael Irvin, who says he spoke with the superstar WR after he was traded out of Houston -- and man, the allegations are SHOCKING.

Irvin said on ESPN's "Get Up" on Wednesday that O'Brien had called Hopkins into a meeting recently over the wideout being "too influential" in the Texans' locker-room.

Irvin claims the whole confrontation started out with O'Brien saying, "Hey, uh, the last time I had to have a meeting like this it was with Aaron Hernandez."

FYI, O'Brien was the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots in 2011, when Hernandez was a star tight end for the team. Hernandez was later accused of killing multiple people before taking his own life in prison. So, yeah, it's not a name to be thrown around lightly.

The Playmaker says Hopkins was blown away by the comment -- saying, "I've never been in any trouble" -- but Irvin says things got even worse later in the meeting.

Irvin claims O'Brien was upset that Hopkins brought the mothers of his children around the team, saying, "He told De'Andre he doesn't like that he has his baby mamas around sometimes."

"And, from that, I think the relationship just went bad," Irvin added.

Hopkins and a 4th-rounder were ultimately traded Monday for running back David Johnson, a 2nd-round pick and a future 4th-rounder ... a shocking move considering the Vikings received a 1st-round pick AND MORE for Stefon Diggs later in the day.

We made multiple attempts to reach the Texans and O'Brien for comment -- so far, no word back.

Khabib's Manager If Ferguson Fight Moves to Africa ... We're Down!!!

Published

Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, says the UFC is considering moving the Khabib vs. Tony Ferguson fight to another country ... and if that happens, Khabib is IN!!

As we previously reported, Dana White is adamant UFC 249 will take place come hell or high water on April 18 ... and they're currently on the hunt for a venue.

Ali tells us Khabib is currently training at AKA in San Jose, CA  along with other fighters on that UFC 249 card -- and he's down to travel to any location to brawl with Tony.

"I talked to Dana White white last night. He said there's a possibility the fight is gonna be out of the country. We discussed about going to Zaire or Manila or some distant places. I said hey, Muhammad Ali did it, I'm sure Dana White can do it."

Ali says Khabib isn't worried about coronavirus -- but he IS worried that "this dumb motherf**ker" Tony Ferguson could hurt himself before the fight and ruin the whole thing.

Tony has an unusual training style -- and recently posted video throwing heavy bags around a gym while wearing denim jeans. Khabib and Ali think it's not just weird, it's dangerous.

"He needs to get a real team, real coaches to supervise him. He's a great fighter, he's an amazing fighter, but he's a stupid motherf**ker is what he is."

'Bachelor' Star Peter Weber Here's A Pick Even Mom Would Love ... On Football Field

Published | Updated

'Bachelor' star Peter Weber already proved he's got moves in the fantasy suites ... but did you know he can ball out on the football field too?!?

TMZ Sports has obtained video of PW hitting up a flag football game in California over the weekend ... and we gotta admit -- Pilot Pete's got skillz!!

Of course, it's been a crazy time for Peter -- he cut things off with Madison, got engaged to Hannah Ann, broke up with Hannah Ann, got back together with Madison, pissed off his mom, and broke up with Madison again.

Pretty easy to follow, right??

Anyway ... it looks like everyone is getting over the breakups in their own ways, 'cause Madi has been spotted hanging out with Selena Gomez ... while Peter balls with his bros at the Flag Football California league.

Weber looks like a rec league superstar in the video ... snagging a good interception with a solid return ... and throwing a dart on offense.

We take it mama Barbara will approve.

Brooklyn Nets Kevin Durant Has Coronavirus ... Out with Drake Last Week

Published | Updated
UPDATE

5:23 PM PT -- KD's positive test is probably very interesting to his buddy, Drake.

UPDATE

The Nets were in town to play the Lakers last Tuesday. Of course, Kevin didn't play, but he was at the game, and afterward he kicked it with Drake at Nice Guy in West Hollywood.

UPDATE

It could just be coincidence, but Drake posted video from the basketball court in his Toronto mansion. He said, "My life for the next however long." Makes it sound like he's self-quarantining ... perhaps out of an abundance of safety?

UPDATE
UPDATE

2:52 PM PT -- The L.A. Lakers -- the last team to play the Nets before the league's suspension -- just had a conference call with all the players ... and everyone will be tested for COVID-19 and undergo a 14-day quarantine, according to Brad Turner.

UPDATE

2:29 PM PT -- Kevin Durant says he is one of the Nets players who tested positive for coronavirus.

UPDATE

The NBA superstar told The Athletic he's feeling fine -- but adds, "Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We're going to get through this."

The coronavirus has just hit the Brooklyn Nets ... HARD.

The team announced FOUR players have tested positive for COVID-19 -- which is essentially a THIRD of the roster!

No, the team is not naming names -- at least not yet. Before today, no one on the team had been diagnosed with coronavirus.

In fact, before today only 3 NBA players had tested positive -- Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz and Christian Wood of the Detroit Pistons.

Of the four, one player is exhibiting symptoms while three are asymptomatic," the team said in a statement.

"All four players are presently isolated and under the care of team physicians."

"The organization is currently notifying anyone who has had known contact with the players, including recent opponents, and is working closely with state and local health authorities on reporting."

"All players and members of the Nets travel party are being asked to remain isolated, closely monitor their health and maintain constant communication with team medical staff. The health of our players and staff is of the highest priority to the organization and the team is doing everything within its power to ensure that those affected receive the best care possible."

Barstool Pres Dave Portnoy Tom Brady Leaving Pats ... 'The World May Be Ending!!!'

Published | Updated

Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy is coming to terms with the fact Tom Brady is no longer a New England Patriot ... and he's convinced this could be the end of the world as we know it.

Remember, El Pres told TMZ Sports less than a month ago ... "Anybody who says (Brady's) going anywhere is an idiot!!" ... and obviously, TB12's leaving.

Dave Portnoy 2/27/20
THERE'S NO WAY!

We reconnected with Portnoy in wake of the news on Tuesday ... and despite the devastating news, the guy is actually taking it well.

"I wasn’t stunned," Dave tells us. "I thought he would come back to New England, because I think we offer him the best chance to win ... it’s sad, it’s the end of an era."

"This is the real world. We got corona running wild in the streets, things happen. So, Brady’s leaving the Patriots. Crazy times. .. the world may be ending."

Pres makes it clear he still LOVES Brady and isn't pissed he's leaving the Pats ... but believes TB12 just ain't a franchise QB anymore.

"If you’re a Patriots fan and you care about winning in the next 10 years, this is the right move … if you only care about the next 2, then you probably want Brady."

Portnoy says he believes in Bill Belichick and likes the Pats' chances of winning a title before TB12 (regardless of which team he chooses) ... but his love for Brady will live on.

As for Brady's replacement?? Portnoy's got a guy in mind -- and the dude once defeated TB12 at the highest level.

"I'd love to get 'Big D**k' Nick Foles ... that would be full circle. That would get me so fired up."

Floyd Mayweather Uncle Roger Mayweather Dies ... Legendary Boxing Trainer

Published | Updated

Floyd Mayweather's uncle, Roger Mayweather -- one of the most famous boxing trainers ever -- has died, Floyd's camp confirms with TMZ Sports. He was 58.

Roger was a KEY member of Floyd's training team -- and sculpted him into becoming the global phenom he is today. Many considered Roger the best trainer in the world.

He was also a pretty good boxer and battled with some pretty big stars, including Julio César Chávez and Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini.

He was also a 2-weight world champion -- holding the WBA and lineal super featherweight titles back in the day, along with the WBC light welterweight title (from '87 to '89).

Roger had been in declining health for years. In fact, Floyd opened up about Roger's health back in 2015 and blamed boxing for damaging his brain.

"My uncle Roger Mayweather has lost a lot of memory from the sport of boxing," Floyd said ... "He's only in his 50s, but it seems like he's an old man in his 80s."

A few years ago, Roger went missing -- and fortunately, he was located by law enforcement officials.

We're told Floyd was close with Roger and is deeply emotional about his passing.

Tom Brady Set To Sign W/ Bucs ... Says Colin Cowherd

Published

Tom Brady will sign a deal to officially bolt from New England to the Buccaneers ... and it's all going down on Wednesday -- this according to FS1 star Colin Cowherd.

"The Herd" host broke the news on his radio show Tuesday morning ... saying, "Tom Brady signs tomorrow with Tampa Bay."

"He has made a decision," Cowherd said ... "I am told Tampa is the choice and he will sign tomorrow."

Cowherd says his source is NOT a football one ... but rather someone close to Brady on business side.

"It is a source of wealth and celebrity connected to sports that knows Tom," Cowherd said.

Of course, nothing official has been announced from either TB12 or the Bucs yet ... and other reporters have said NO deal is in place as of now.

In fact, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported earlier Wednesday that Bucs GM Jason Licht said in a text message to him that "nothing is done" regarding a deal with Tom.

But, would it shock anybody if Brady did end up with the Bucs this week? Absolutely not ... Tom's desperately wanted an offense with weapons around him, and Tampa Bay has plenty of those.

Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, O.J. Howard ... and a great play-caller in Bruce Arians certainly fits the mold of what Brady appears to be seeking.

So, will it go down? Stay tuned ...

Chris Harris Jr. 15 More INTs Makes Me HOF Lock ... That's All I Need!!!

Published | Updated
Chris Harris Jr Weekend
I'VE GOT MORE TO DO

Free agent corner Chris Harris Jr. says he's gunning for 15 more INTs with his next team ... telling TMZ Sports that's about all it'll take to officially reserve him a spot in the Hall of Fame!

"That's my goal, man, is just to be solidified in there, no question," the former Denver Broncos superstar said. "Make it no question."

Of course, Harris' HOF resume is already pretty sweet ... dude's a Super Bowl champ, a four-time Pro Bowler AND he's got 20 INTs on his resume already.

But, Harris Jr. doesn't feel like he's a Hall of Famer just yet ... telling us a few more picks and a couple more All-Pros and Pro Bowls will seal it.

"I think I probably need about, probably like, 15 more picks," Harris Jr. said. "Probably get about two more All-Pros, Pro Bowls and I think I should be solidified from there."

As for where the 30-year-old will try to get that all done at ... he tells us he has no clue just yet -- but reportedly, the Raiders, Cowboys, Bills and Jets all want to make a run at signing him.

Harris Jr. tells us he's hoping to play at least 5 more years in the league ... which would mean all he'd need is 3 more picks per season with his next squad to reach that goal.

In other words ... heads up, Canton!
