Washington Redskins Birthday Bash For 107-Year-Old Fan ... 'Nana' Carletha!!!

Published

Awesome move by the Redskins ... they found out a big fan was about to celebrate her 107th birthday -- so they showed up and threw her a b-day bash!!!

It all went down at Brandywine Living in Alexandria, Virginia on Thursday, when Redskins prez Bruce Allen and team play-by-play man Larry Michael popped in to celebrate with Carletha "Nana" West.

West -- who was born on July 18, 1912 (!!!!) -- says she became a 'Skins fan way back in the 1930s ... so the Redskins reps just had to swing by with gifts.

The main present? A customized #107 jersey with the name "Nana" on the back ... and no surprise, Carletha loved it!!!

"Oh, wow!" she said of the gift ... "This is gorgeous!"

Carletha says she's ridden with the Redskins through all the ups and downs ... and told Allen and Michael her favorite all-time QB is Sonny Jurgensen.

As for this year's team ... she made sure to grill Allen about the squad, asking, "Are we going to have a good year this year?"

Probably not ... but at least Washington won this offseason move!!!

Aaron Boone Suspended 1 Game For 'F*cking Savages' Rant

Published
UPDATE

11:58 AM PT -- The MLB has announced it has suspended Boone one game -- plus an undisclosed fine -- for his epic rant against umpire Brennan Miller.

UPDATE

Boone will serve his ban Friday night when the Yankees take on the Colorado Rockies.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone FLIPPED OUT on an umpire Thursday ... and the whole rant was caught on a hot mic -- it was EPIC!!!

It all went down in the 2nd inning of the Yanks-Rays game in NY ... when Boone began chirping at home plate ump Brennan Miller over balls and strikes.

Boone didn't hold back from the dugout, telling Brennan to "Bear the f**k down! Let's go!"

It didn't take long for Miller to toss Boone from the game ... but that only made Aaron's profanity-laced rant grow.

"My guys are f**king savages in that f**king box, right?!" Boone yelled in Brennan's face ... "And, you're having a piece of s**t start to this game."

Aaron continued, "I feel bad for ya. But, f**king get better ... Our guys are f**king savages in that box. Our guys are savages in the f**king box. Tighten it up right now, OKAY?!?"

Seemed a bunch of Yankees fans agreed with Boone's rant ... and even outfielder Brett Gardner -- who had just been called out on strikes -- gave the manager a standing ovation.

Unclear if the whole tirade was worth it ... the game is still tied up 2-2 in the fifth -- but we're all super grateful for the hot mics regardless!!!

The Detroit Pistons superstar -- who goes by the rap name Drummxnd -- rocked the stage at the On The Record Speakeasy and Club at the Park MGM on Thursday ... towering over the crowd and all of his hype men.

25-year-old Drummond has been rapping for a while but finally put out his first E.P. last summer in an effort to grow his off-the-court career.

The 6'11" center performed 5 songs at the club and you can see in the video  the crowd showed love ... reaching up and smacking his hands during the show.

As for the Pistons, they're coming off a playoff season -- and there's talk Detroit could offer up a max contract to Drummond in 2020.

... not a bad time to be Drummond ... or Drummxnd.

Zion Williamson Getting Full-Court Press from Puma ... Nike In the Running

Published | Updated

Zion Williamson has still NOT signed a shoe deal -- despite being the most sought after NBA draft pick since LeBron James -- and our sources say it's all because of Puma.

Nike was believed to be the front-runner to sign Zion for months ... with legendary former Nike exec Sonny Vaccaro telling us he thinks Zion's deal could hit the 9-figure mark.

And, with Zion rocking Nikes in college, in pre-draft workouts and in some NBA Summer league games ... it seemed like it was just a matter of time before Zion signed with the Swoosh.

But, we're told Puma -- which has made a serious push in the basketball shoe space in recent years -- has come out of nowhere to become a major contender to sign the NBA's #1 overall pick.

Puma already has rising stars Marvin Bagley III and DeAndre Ayton on its roster -- the first 2 picks from the 2018 NBA Draft.

And, get this ... Zion rocked a pair of Puma RS-0 "Video Game" kicks during a Summer league game earlier this month, and our sources tell us that's no coincidence.

We're told Nike is aware of the competition and is making a hard push to get a deal done with Williamson first. As one source puts it, "He's the #1 priority."

Remember, Zion did have one bad experience with Nike in college ... when his Nike PG 2.5s blew out during the opening seconds of the Duke vs. North Carolina game.

Fun Fact: The shoes were never seen in public again after that incident ... and Ken Goldin from Goldin Auction told us he thinks the kicks could be the most valuable collegiate sneakers of all time ... worth more than $250,000 if they ever hit the auction block!!!

The NBA season kicks off in October and whatever brand signs Zion is going to want him to wear their sneaker on opening day ... so, ticktock.

Super Bowl Champ Mitch Petrus Dead at 32

Ex-NFL player Mitch Petrus -- who won a Super Bowl with the Giants in 2012 -- tragically died of a heat stroke on Thursday. He was 32 years old.

Petrus had complained about feeling ill on Thursday after spending all day outside working at his family's shop ... and was taken to a local hospital, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

Officials say he died at 10:45 PM after suffering a heat stroke.

Petrus was a standout guard with the Arkansas Razorbacks after walking on to the team -- earning All-SEC honors in 2007 and 2009 -- and was drafted by the Giants in the 5th round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

While at Arkansas, Petrus blocked for stars Darren McFadden and Felix Jones ... and didn't give up a single sack during his senior year.

He also played for the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans before retiring from the league in 2013.

Petrus played bass guitar in his band, Vikings of the North Atlantic ... and also made regular local TV appearances as a Razorbacks football analyst.

Petrus' Giants teammate, Lawrence Tynes, shared his condolences ... saying "RIP Mitch Petrus, another loss to our Giants family way too young. Fun dude who played hard. Prayers to his family and friends."

Tyreek Hill Will NOT Be Suspended By NFL ... NFL Star Speaks Out

Published
UPDATE

8:31 AM PT -- Tyreek Hill just issued a statement on the situation ... stating the allegations against him are false -- and praising the NFL for its decision.

UPDATE

"The last few months have been very difficult for me, especially as a father. The false allegations originally reported in March were highly publicized and involved the care of my son. I am grateful for so many things and grateful for so many people who have supported me during this challenging time. I fully respect and accept the NFL's decision."

UPDATE

Hill added, "To the fans, friends, and family that I have made in Kansas City: I love you and thank you for your continued support."

UPDATE

"To the NFL, Commissioner Goodell and everyone who assisted in this investigation: thank you for your time and for conducting a thorough investigation. I will not let you down."

UPDATE

"I can assure you that I will continue to work to be the person, player, and teammate that you envisioned me to be."

UPDATE

"To my children, my beautiful children: I love you all dearly and I promise you all that I will continue to strive to be the best father, the best friend, the best role model, and the best mentor that I can be. I love you all."

Kansas City Chiefs star Tyreek Hill will NOT be suspended by the NFL over allegations he physically abused his 3-year-old son ... the NFL said in a statement.

Long story short ... the NFL says it conducted a thorough investigation but ultimately could not reach a definitive conclusion that Hill beat up his kid.

"Over the past four months, we have conducted a comprehensive investigation of allegations regarding Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill," the NFL said.

The K.C. Chiefs star was suspended from all team activities back in April after disturbing audio surfaced featuring the NFL star arguing with his girlfriend, Crystal Espinal.

During the argument, Espinal accuses Hill of breaking their 3-year-old son's arm and claims the kid is "terrified" of the NFL star ... to which Hill responds, "You need to be terrified of me too, b*tch."

Hill denied all wrongdoing -- and in a later piece of audio that went public, Tyreek can be heard denying a 2014 attack on a then-pregnant Espinal ... saying, "Did I hit you? Tell me the truth in my eyes right now. Look at me."

NFL reporter Albert Breer says league officials were NOT able to interview Espinal for their investigation despite multiple attempts.

The NFL says they were careful not to interfere with the investigation being conducted by law enforcement officials ... but they also admit they simply did not get access to ALL of the information in the case.

"The information developed in the court proceeding is confidential and has not been shared with us, and the court has sealed all law enforcement records," the NFL said.

"Local law enforcement authorities have publicly advised that the available evidence does not permit them to determine who caused the child's injuries. "

"Similarly, based on the evidence presently available, the NFL cannot conclude that Mr. Hill violated the Personal Conduct Policy."

Now, Hill -- who had been suspended from team activities pending the investigation -- has been cleared to return to the Chiefs.

"He may attend Kansas City's training camp and participate in all club activities."

The league says Hill will "continue to be subject to conditions set forth by the District Court, Commissioner Goodell, and the Chiefs, which include clinical evaluation and therapeutic intervention."

The league is also leaving the door open when it comes to the case -- saying, if further information becomes available through law enforcement, the pending court proceeding, or other sources, we will promptly consider it and take all appropriate steps at that time."

The Chiefs released a statement on the NFL's decision ... saying "the club fully supports the conditions for return laid out by the league and will continue to monitor any new developments in the case."

"We are glad to welcome Tyreek back to the team and look forward to the start of training camp next week."

Other celebs crushed it too ... Michelle Wie, Errol Spence Jr., Ben Simmons, DeAndre Jordan and Chloe Kim all rocked fancy duds.

Also, NBA stud Kelly Oubre Jr. showed up in this.

UFC's Dana White Interested In Jon Jones vs. Israel ... Here's the Plan

Israel Adesanya might get the chance to go G.O.A.T. hunting after all ...

UFC honcho Dana White tells TMZ Sports he's very interested in an Israel Adesanya vs. Jon Jones fight ... but Israel's gotta take out Robert Whittaker first!

Remember, Israel -- who's 17-0 with an impressive win over UFC legend Anderson Silva -- told us a fight with Jon Jones "tickles my loins" ... and added, "I already killed one G.O.A.T. and I'm hunting the next."

ADD HIM TO THE LIST

Jon saw the clip ... and fired back, "I’ll make you call me daddy by the third [round]."

In fact, Israel was ringside at Jon's UFC 239 fight earlier this month -- but later said he wasn't impressed with Jones.

So, when we saw White out in Beverly Hills ... we had to ask if he has any interest in putting an Israel vs. Jones fight together.

"I do," White said ... but he made it clear nothing's in stone and Israel has to get through Whittaker at UFC 243 in October first.

"If he beats Robert Whittaker, he's a very very dangerous guy and a guy Jones needs to take serious.

FYI, Whittaker is the current middleweight champ -- and famously beat Yoel Romero, TWICE!!

Should be fun ...

Bronny James Awesome Driveway Dunk Sesh ... With Shareef O'Neal

Published | Updated

Here's a preview of what the NBA All-Star game's gonna look like in a few years ... Bronny James throwing some ferocious dunks while messing around with Shareef O'Neal!

The whole thing went down at LeBron James' Brentwood mansion -- where Shaq's sons, Shareef and Shaqir, rolled over for a shootaround with Bronny and some other friends, including Syracuse recruit Dior Johnson (one of the best high school players in the country).

LeBron was so impressed he whipped out his phone and started shooting video ... and it's pretty great.

Shareef seems to be doing REALLY well after heart surgery earlier this year. He's expected to get back on the court for UCLA next season.

Of course, Bronny just transferred to Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles -- one of the top hoops programs in the nation -- where he'll be playing with Dwyane Wade's kids.

Future looks good, doesn't it?!

Keith Thurman Rips Floyd Mayweather You Ducked Me and You Know It!!!

Published | Updated

Keith Thurman says Floyd Mayweather is straight CHICKEN -- accusing the boxing legend of running scared before he retired and now he's calling Floyd out.

"If he wanted a real fight, he would have saw me years ago," Thurman tells TMZ Sports.

"You never wanted to fight me. I was right there right underneath you for years. I was the #1 contender of the WBA and then they made you super champion so that our names didn't have to be in the same sentence together."

FYI, a WBA Super Champ is a fighter who holds multiple titles in the same division -- and is exempt from mandatory title defenses. Essentially, Super Champs can pick their own opponents.

Thurman says during Floyd's active fighting days, there were plenty of opportunities to make a fight between the two ... but Mayweather wussed out and didn't want the smoke.

Now, Thurman -- who's 29-0 -- is gearing up for the biggest fight of his career against Manny Pacquiao on Saturday ... and he knows a victory could open some huge doors.

In fact, Keith says he sees big fights with stars like Terence "Bud" Crawford and Errol Spence in 2020 ... and says, "I'm very open to those contracts."

But, for now, Thurman says the plan is to beat Manny and then take the rest of 2019 off to gear up for a massive 2020.

Oh, and when he is ready to announce his next opponent ... Keith says he's coming to TMZ Sports to drop the bombshell!!!

Chiefs Rookie Mecole Hardman Here's Your New House, Mom ... Surprise!!!

Published

"It’s my turn to take care of you now."

AWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

That's new Kansas City Chiefs rookie Mecole Hardman's message to his mom after he surprised her with a new house ... and, yeah, the video is a tear-jerker.

Unclear where the new pad is -- we're assuming somewhere near Arrowhead Stadium so Mama Mecole can watch her son ball with the Chiefs -- but it looks like a sick place regardless.

There's a pool, a brand-new kitchen and plenty of yard space. It's pretty sweet.

"I been dreaming of buying my mama a house since I was 8 and now to finally do it words can’t explain how happy i am," Mecole said of the gift ... "I love you ma x1000000000."

Mecole was a 2nd-round draft pick of the Chiefs and reportedly just inked a 4-year, $5 MILLION deal ... and he said on camera his mom's new house is already fully paid for.

The Chiefs' season doesn't begin for another few weeks ... but chalk this one up as the first W of 2019 for Mecole!!!

Edgerrin James Training 8th Grade Son To Be A Beast ... Pumping Serious Iron!

Here's Edgerrin James building a BEAST ... the ex-NFL star is giving his 8th grade son weight room tips -- and it doesn't seem like it'll be long before the kid is tearing up the gridiron!!!

Edgerrin's son, Eden, is about to start high school ... but it's pretty clear he's going to have a HUGE leg up on the rest of the freshmen in his class 'cause of his legendary pops.

The 15-year-old is getting personal gym lessons from Edgerrin himself ... and seems it's already working.

Check out some of the weight Eden's pushing around -- 225-plus-pound squats, 155-pound bench presses, 135-pound front squats and more. BEAST!!!

Edgerrin's already said he hopes Eden's good enough to ultimately end up at his alma mater -- The U -- and it sure looks like he's on his way.

By the way, the former Indianapolis Colts RB also has another younger son, Edgerrin James Jr., who's killin' it on the basketball floor as a middle schooler.

Edgerrin knows both can be special athletes -- he said in a recent interview, "They’re legit ... They’re really good.”

NFL's Josh Norman I'm a Hero In Spain ... For Jumping That Bull

Published

Josh Norman finally faced the question everyone wanted to ask when they saw the video of him  jumping that bull in Spain -- WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!

And, his answer is very "Braveheart"-esque.

"For me, though, it’s literally like, would you rather live and die ... or would you rather die and never lived?”

In other words, HE NEEDED THE RUSH!!!

The Washington Redskins star defensive back sat down with Rich Eisen and said he was basically hailed as a HERO in Pamplona for his antics at the 2019 Running of the Bulls.

Norman says the locals even gave him a nickname, "El Saltador" -- which means, "The Jumper!"

The 31-year-old says he weighed the risks before making the leap -- but ultimately felt he was athletic enough to hang with the animals ... and knew he wouldn't get hurt.

"You go out there to run out there with the bulls, you're gonna get the horns if you're not athletic enough to move out the way."

JUMPIN' THE BULL

Eisen asked if the Redskins had reached out to Josh to express their concerns after watching the jump -- and he scoffed.

Norman explained that the Redskins know his personality -- that he's a bit of a wild man -- but he'd never do anything to put the team in jeopardy.

Norman says he's got a YOLO mentality when it comes to life -- and he wants to push himself to the limits. In fact, he feels people who play it safe are missing out.

So, what was going through Josh's mind right before he jumped?!

"It came straight directly at me so I charged back at it ... I was like who's gonna win big fella!"

"I knew I was gonna clear it."

Thank goodness for Washington ... he was right.

Tim Tebow Drops $3 Mil On Sick Jacksonville Pad

Published

Tim Tebow strikes again ... as in, he just bought up even MORE real estate in Jacksonville, Florida -- and this new place is awesome.

The New York Mets prospect plunked down $3 mil to scoop up an 8,100 square foot mansion in an exclusive private community in South Jacksonville, according to Jax Daily Record.

Tebow, who recently got engaged to longtime girlfriend Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters (the 2017 Miss Universe winner), had previously bought a smaller home nearby for $1.4 mil in 2014 ... but clearly he felt he was due for an upgrade.

And, man, this place is cool ... it's got a personal gym, fire pit, beautiful pool, a massive wine room, home theater, 5-car garage ... and PRIVACY.

The home also overlooks a golf course and a nearby lake.

Tebow can definitely afford it -- he made roughly $10 mil during his short NFL career ... but has racked up a fortune in endorsements, broadcasting and TV hosting gigs.

He's also getting paid by the NY Mets -- though his exact salary is unclear.

By the way, Tim grew up in the Jacksonville area -- and famously stayed in the Sunshine State to play his college ball at the University of Florida, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2007.
