Donald Trump's fast food plan worked ... because Clemson's star QB Trevor Lawrence tells TMZ Sports he LOVED the President's McDonald's spread at the White House and can't wait to do it again!

Lawrence and the rest of the Clemson Tigers arrived to 1600 Penn to celebrate their National Championship victory over Alabama ... where President Trump personally selected the food menu.

"I think we're going to serve McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King with some pizza," Trump said to the media earlier that day ... explaining, "I would think that's their favorite food."

When the team arrived, the fast food -- Big Macs, Filet-O-Fish sandwiches and more -- was waiting for them on silver platters on a table decorated with gold candelabras ... real fancy stuff.

"It was awesome," Lawrence told us while taking pics with Clemson fans ... "We had McDonalds and everything. It was good!"

Another fan asked Lawrence how many times he plans on returning to the White House -- to which he replied, "Hopefully, a few more!"

Trump also enjoyed the dinner with the champs -- tweeting out, "Because of the Shutdown I served them massive amounts of fast food (I paid), over 1000 hamberders etc."

Hey, it's hard to spell correctly when your body is sluggish with berder meat.

Larry Fitzgerald tells TMZ Sports he's excited to meet new Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury -- but there's one slight problem ... he might not be playing for him next season.

The 35-year-old wide receiver will be a free agent in 2019 -- but has said if returns to the NFL, the plan is to remain a Cardinal for life.

Now that AZ is transitioning to a new head coach in Kingsbury, we asked Larry for his thoughts on the situation.

"Hell of a coach," Fitz told us at LAX ... "Look at his resume. He's innovative offensively. That's somebody with a future right now. So, I'm excited for the chance to meet him."

So far, Larry says the two haven't talked -- but they've exchanged text messages.

As far as Larry's career goes -- "I don't know yet. Taking time to figure it out still."

We asked if he had set a deadline for himself to make a decision, but Larry tells us he's not sure yet ... he's taking it day by day.

Fitzgerald had played in the NFL for 15 seasons since being drafted 3rd overall in the 2004 Draft. He's been selected to the Pro Bowl 11 times.

He led the NFL in receptions in 2005 and 2016 ... and in receiving TDs in 2008 and 2009.

Should the Giants draft Kyler Murray to replace Eli Manning??

Saquon Barkley ain't so sure about all that -- "that's above my pay grade," he says -- but the Giants superstar DOES think Kyler's got a huge NFL career ahead of him regardless.

"I got to personally play with him in The Opening in high school -- I played 7-on-7 with him. So, I know what he's about and I know how talented he is."

Kyler's made headlines the last few days while still pondering whether or not he wants to play in the NFL or in the MLB (where he was the Oakland As' first-round pick last summer).

But, Barkley clearly thinks the dude's got a future with the shield -- saying he's just as talented as other first-round prospects like Dwayne Haskins and Drew Lock.

"I think there's a lot of talented quarterbacks in the class and all those guys have a great future."

We also spoke with Barkley about Antonio Brown ... and he says it's a no-brainer the Giants should go after him at all costs.

"I think that's an easy answer -- anybody would want to play with him."

Sooo ... Kyler, Saquon, Odell and A.B. in NYC in 2019?!?!

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson gang hit up 1600 Penn to commemorate their win over Alabama in the national championship ... and celebrated by scarfin' down hundreds of burgers!!

It's the Tigers' second trip to the White House in 3 years ... but this time around, they were served with the finest (and quickest) cuisine around!!

Donald Trump said earlier Monday he was preppin' a smorgasbord of fast food for the champs ... saying "I think we're going to serve McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King with some pizza."

BTW -- the buffet actually turned out pretty well ... and they even included some healthy salad options for the world-class athletes!

Trump explained the move ... saying he got "everything that I like, that you like ... and I know no matter what we did, there's nothing you could have that's better than that."

Sarah Sanders explained the move for fast food, saying, “much of the residence staff at the White House is furloughed, so the President is personally paying for the event to be catered with some of everyone’s favorite fast foods."

Amari Cooper expects to be in Dallas for a LONG time ... at least, that's what it looks like after the dude invested in a sick, diamond Cowboys jersey with his name and number on it!!

Amari's team just got knocked out of the playoffs by the Rams, but now the dude can still rep his team in the off-season ... courtesy of the solid piece made up of 40 carats of diamonds!!

TMZ Sports has learned ... A.C. hit up Gabriel the Jeweler -- the go-to guy for huge stars like Antonio Brown, OBJ and Jarvis Landry -- earlier this month to solidify his spot with America's team.

FYI --Cooper's expected to sign an extension with Dallas this offseason ... and after the production he's put up, the dude is expected to cash in with a fat, new deal before the end of next season.

We're told the jersey -- valued at $65k -- was part of Cooper's recent bling haul, complete with a 45-carat Cuban chain and 15-carat bracelet ... worth $140k total!!

It's good to be rich. But, it's good to be richer. Get that money, Cooper!!

Just hours after beating the Cowboys to move the Rams to the NFC Championship Game ... Sean McVay pulled the ultimate power move -- hitting up Delilah with his smokin' hot GF!!!

Of course, Delilah is one of the HOTTEST spots in Hollywood ... but McVay clearly had no problem getting a table for him and his GF, Veronika Khomyn, after a big win.

This ain't the first time the 32-year-old coaching wunderkind has thrown his weight around in L.A. -- the coach was spotted with Veronika at Warwick on New Year's Eve too!!

Bottom line ... seems it's pretty good to be young AND one of the best coaches in the NFL!!!

Bears head coach Matt Nagy says he spoke with Kareem Hunt just a week ago ... and didn't rule out signing the troubled RB when asked about the possibility Monday.

Hunt's been out of the NFL since TMZ Sports published video of the ex-Chiefs star shoving and kicking a woman during a February altercation at a Cleveland hotel.

But ... Nagy's got a great relationship with the RB -- he was Hunt's OC during the RB's rookie season in 2017 -- and says he wanted to check in on him when they spoke just a few days ago.

"I talked to Kareem completely wanting to know how he's doing. And we had a good conversation."

Nagy says the convo never turned to football ... but he did say he's a coach that has always been in favor of giving players second chances.

"Me, personally, depending on certain people's situations, I'm a guy that has always been that. I've been kind of raised that way to give guys second chances."

Does that mean Hunt will be in a Chicago uniform next season? Nagy certainly didn't seem opposed to the idea ... but GM Ryan Pace says the Bears need more time to make that call.

"We're not even there yet," Pace said ... "I know what [Hunt] is as a player, obviously, from watching him. Matt knows a little bit more about him as a person. But we're not even close to that point."

10:50 AM PT -- Brady's message is getting Fiddy's stamp of approval ... 'cause the rap star just responded to the shout-out, saying, "Oh sh*t he gonna do it again, he listening to (Many Men) getting his mind right. @tombrady let’s go!!!"

Brady posted a video Monday on Instagram bragging about the 41-28 win over the Chargers -- and punctuated his message with 50's "Many Men."

Specifically, Brady used the hook with the following lyrics directed at his critics:

"Many men wish death upon me. Blood in my eye, dog, and I can't see. I'm trying to be what I'm destined to be, and n****s trying to take my life away."

Yeah, Brady's going gangsta.

Obviously, Brady heard some of the chatter before Sunday's game -- where football pundits were saying he's fallen off and the Pats were screwed.

In his video, Brady said ... "Monday, January 14, it's great to be working on a Monday. Great team win. We're on to Kansas City, baby!! Let's go. LET'S GO!"

Clearly, TB12's got the memory of an elephant ... and is putting all reporters on notice.

Jerry Rice says he had a long talk with Antonio Brown about his NFL future -- and the guy REALLY wants to play for the San Francisco 49ers.

"He wants to come here really bad," Rice said on the "Joe, Lo & Dibs" show on 95.7 The Game.

"He's talking about running the hills with me, doing all that and just working out ... you know, just picking my brain."

Of course, A.B. is on his way outta Steel City after his recent antics led Steelers owner Art Rooney to say last week it's "hard to envision" the WR coming back in 2019.

But, Rice says the Niners NEED to step in and trade for the wideout -- guaranteeing Brown will behave -- and flourish -- if he's given the opportunity in S.F.

"I would be looking forward to just passing some of that knowledge on to him, and being around this guy, because I know he's a great individual."

"If it was left up to me, he would be here in a heartbeat."

Seems Jerry's got a pretty strong finger on A.B.'s pulse -- the two talk often ... and Brown even has a painting of Rice up in his home gym.

And, per Jerry, Antonio's a stand-up guy that would only make the Niners better.

"I don't know what happened in Pittsburgh. But, I know that if this guy comes here to San Francisco, he's going to do everything possible to help this team to win."

No shirt, pants OR undies were required at the Saints' postgame locker room celebration Sunday ... 'cause Mark Ingram got down with his bad self in nothing but a towel!!!

It all went down just minutes after New Orleans finished off the Eagles, 20-14, in a playoff win at the Superdome ... when the Saints turned their locker room into a nightclub.

The smoke was blowing ... the lights were flashing ... and that's when the Saints star RB took center stage to show off his best dance moves -- almost completely naked!!!

The rest of the New Orleans squad got in on the fun (with clothes on) ... Teddy Bridgewater hit his signature "Choppa Style" dance move, and a Saints staffer even got down in a Rascal scooter!

New Orleans is off to the NFC Championship game for the first time since 2009 ... so the celebration seemed warranted.

Some of biggest stars in the world -- from Adam Sandler to Jamie Foxx to Baker Mayfield -- came out to Malibu to play in a celeb softball game Sunday to raise a ton of money for a great cause.

It was all for the California Strong charity ... created by MLB stars Christian Yelich, Ryan Braun, Mike Moustakas and NFL star Jared Goff to help out people affected by the CA wildfires and the shooting at the Borderline Bar.

They called every star they knew ... and the stars came out in force to Pepperdine University to help.

Rainn Wilson, Mira Sorvino, Dennis Rodman, Brad Paisley, Charlie Sheen, Robin Thicke, Rob Riggle, Matt Leinart, Reggie Miller, Justin Turner and more turned up and balled out.

We're told the event raised a TON of money -- and helped the California Strong organization (in association with the Southeast Ventura County YMCA) cross a lifetime total of $1 MILLION in fundraising.

During the game, several checks were handed out to families affected by the fires -- and also to the Borderline Bar to help rebuild.

The crowd gave a huge ovation to the first responders.

Donald Trump thinks the Clemson football team -- a collection of some of the finest athletes in the country -- are a bunch of burger-scarfin', pizza-inhalin' gluttons ... so that's what he's serving 'em at the White House.

The National Champs are scheduled to meet with POTUS and 1600 Penn on Monday (weather permitting) and for some reason, Donald thinks he knows about the team's food preferences.

"I think we're going to serve McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King with some pizza," Trump said. "I really mean it, It will be interesting. And, I would think that's their favorite food."

No disrespect to Mickey D's or his highness, the Burger King ... but why would Trump think a bunch of broke college students would want fast food instead of a steak, sushi or fancy stuff they don't usually get in the school cafeteria?!

Dabo Swinney and his players are set to arrive at the White House Monday night. We'll see how they react to the menu.

The Cleveland Cavaliers finally broke their 12-game losing streaking against the Lakers in Los Angeles on Sunday -- while Khloe Kardashian was in the stands cheering on her man Tristan Thompson.

Coincidence? She thinks not!

Khloe and TT were leaving Craig's after the game -- all smiles in great moods -- where they jokingly took the credit for the big 101-95 win over the LeBron-less Lakers at Staples Center.

In all seriousness, Tristan had a solid game, posting a double-double (15 points, 14 rebounds) -- and he's having a pretty solid year overall.

No sign of their daughter True out last night -- but there was definitely baby on brain for our photog ... who asked the couple if they were planning on having any more adorable kids in the future.

Steph Curry is the most famous person to EVER play basketball at Davidson College (by far!) ... so, why hasn't his jersey been retired?!

Simple -- Steph's gotta get his degree first. Seriously.

Remember, Steph is a LEGEND at Davidson, where he was a consensus 1st Team All-American and famously led the Wildcats to the Elite 8 in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.

So, when we spotted Steph's old college coach, Bob McKillop out in D.C., we had to get an explanation for why Steph's old #30 jersey ain't hangin' in the rafters.

"I think he's in the process of completing his degree," McKillop told us after heaping TONS of praise on his old player.

We followed up with the school and athletic director Chris Clunie told us that Steph is still actively working on his degree ... and as soon as he completes his education, boom -- the jersey gets retired.

Clunie says the school is extremely proud of all that Steph has accomplished on and off the court. They love the guy.

It's official ... Maroon 5 are headlining Super Bowl LIII, and they'll be joined by the likes of Travis Scott and Atlanta hip-hop legend Big Boi.

The band announced the news Sunday with a promo video which lists themselves, Trav and Big Boi as performers for the halftime show. The NFL confirmed on their end, saying M5 will take center stage and TS and BB will be featured as guest artists.

We broke the story ... Travis signed on to perform for Super Bowl 53 late last month, despite tons of backlash from the African-American community. According to a report, Scott only agreed to do the show after the NFL vowed to donate a ton of cash to Dream Corps.

The Big Boi announcement didn't come as a total surprise. We knew organizers were scrambling to snag either him or Cardi B. Looks like they went with a homegrown artist for the big game that'll be played in ATL this year.

Alex Honnold is f-ing incredible ... the guy who completed the first free solo climb of El Capitan is humble and almost nonchalant about his superhuman feat.

We got Alex at AMC Empire 25 Saturday night in NYC and asked about his historic climb in June 2017 ... now the subject of "Free Solo," a National Geographic documentary.

He says the 3,000-foot climb, on the mountain called the epicenter of the rock-climbing world, was not particularly scary ... meaning he really didn't think about death.

He made the 3-hour, 56-minute climb without any rope or other preventative measure that would break a certain death fall.

People have called the accomplishment the moon landing of free soloing.

Alex, who says he's going back to what he knows -- climbing -- seemed overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of the Big Apple.
