Tim Brown Heisman Trophy Sells for $435k

Published | Updated

Tim Brown's 1987 Heisman Trophy has just been auctioned off ... and the winning bid was $435,000 ... TMZ Sports has learned,

Brown won the trophy during his legendary senior year at Notre Dame -- when he caught 137 passes for 2,493 yards and 22 touchdowns.

The NFL Hall of Famer had sold the trophy in a private sale in 2017 -- and the person who bought it consigned it to Goldin Auctions in New Jersey to be auctioned off.

The identity of the new owner has not been disclosed.

Brown's Heisman appears to be the most expensive Heisman ever sold at auction -- Rashaan Salaam's 1994 trophy sold in 2017 for $399k, Charles White's 1979 trophy went for $184k in 2000 and O.J. Simpson's went for $255k in 1999.

Goldin says Brown's trophy came with a letter of authenticity from Brown who confirms it's the real deal.

Oh, and if you're wondering why Brown was allowed to sell his award -- the Heisman Trust only began making winners sign a no-sell contract in 1999.

Sorry, Chris Weinke ...

Lamar Odom I'm 100% Gunning For BIG3 Glory ... But Kobe Ain't

PLAYING TO WIN

Lamar Odom says what you've heard is true ... he's coming for a BIG3 championship ... but if you think he's going to be doing it alongside his old Lakers teammate, Kobe Bryant, YOU'RE WRONG.

We got Lamar out in Beverly Hills looking lean and healthy -- remember, this man had 12 strokes and 6 heart attacks after nearly dying of a drug overdose three years ago -- and he says he's ready to play again.

"Yeah, I'mma play. You gotta go to the combine and all that, so I'm in shape working out."

Odom says he's coming for the championship, but when we ask him if there's any hope he'll be doing it with Kobe, the guy he won two NBA rings with ... not likely.

"I mean that's that far-fetched. Maybe, if he were to come, hopefully I could play with him but that's far-fetched."

Ice Cube has said in the past he wanted Kobe to take a crack at the BIG3 ... but we gotta believe L.O. is right when he says it's not likely.

So, maybe no Kobe ... but Lamar did tell us which ex-NBA guy he DOES want to play with in the BIG3, and the dude he chose can still hoop, FOR REAL.

49ers TE George Kittle Turns Up After Career Game ... 'Do The 210 Dance!'

Published | Updated

George Kittle dabbed like a madman and danced his face off in the locker room Sunday ... and it's all 'cause the 49ers tight end went for 210 yards on the Broncos!!!

Kittle's been eating defenses alive this season ... already posting 1,103 yards on the year -- but he REALLY cooked Denver's D at Mile High.

Dude caught 7 balls for 210 yards and one touchdown in a win ... and teammate Marquise Goodwin got his postgame celebration on vid afterward -- and we're all grateful for it.

Kittle showed us his shoulder rolls ... then dabbed like an insane person -- and there was even a cameo from John Lynch!!

Yeah, pretty epic.

The bad news for George ... the Niners are just 3-10 even after the W and are still probably the worst team in the NFL.

The good news for Kittle ... have you seen his girlfriend?!

Joey Chestnut Chugs Beer & Slams Fan Through Table ... At Bills Tailgate

Published | Updated

Wiener-eating champ Joey Chestnut chugged beer and slammed some dude through a table Sunday ... officially becoming a new member of #BillsMafia -- and the video is epic.

It all went down in the New Era Field parking lot before the Bills took on the Jets -- when Chestnut showed up to the most infamous tailgate in the NFL.

J.C. -- who crushed 74 dogs at the 2018 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest -- was clearly wasted ... but that didn't stop him from pounding a Bud Light and throwing a grown man through a plastic table.

Unclear why Joey was there ... the guy is from Northern California and doesn't seem to have any ties to the Bills -- but looks like he fits right in with Buffalo's rowdy crowd anyway.

BTW, the Bills ended up losing the game, 27-23 ... but hey, they're still undefeated in pregame tailgates this season!

KC Chiefs Owner Clark Hunt Team Knew About 3 Violent Incidents ... Before Cutting Him

Published | Updated

Kansas City Chiefs owner, Clark Hunt, says the team knew Kareem Hunt was involved in 3 violent incidents BEFORE they cut him ... but says the TMZ Sports video took things to another level.

Clark Hunt finally broke his silence about Kareem to the media after the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday ... saying, "We were obviously shocked by the video, like anybody who saw it."

He added, "We’d had some issues with Kareem not being truthful with what happened that night and we just really felt for everybody’s best interests we needed to head in a different direction."

As we previously reported, Kareem has been accused of getting violent on 3 separate occasions during the NFL offseason -- allegedly attacking a man at a nightclub in January, the hotel incident in February and another altercation at an Ohio resort in June.

"We did know about [those incidents], yes," Clark Hunt said ... "We were familiar with all 3 of the incidents that he had had in the offseason ... They’d all been reported to the NFL, and the NFL was investigating them."

During the media scrum in the Chiefs' locker room, Clark Hunt was also asked about the NFL's investigation into Kareem Hunt ... and how the league could do a better job handling similar investigations in the future.

"I’m not sure I’m at a point right now where I can say there was a breakdown and specifically what that breakdown was. The league has spent a lot of time and resources trying to build a department that can handle these types of situations."

"Obviously, it’s imperfect. I’m not sure you can ever reach perfection. There are limitations on the type of information that league security people are able to get, and I’m not sure that we can change that."

Clark Hunt was also asked if Chiefs' draft scouts ever saw any red flags when it came to Hunt's off-the-field actions before they took him in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

"Our staff felt comfortable with taking him, otherwise we would not have selected him," Hunt said.

"Our scouting staff does a really good job of vetting players. And part of that analysis is their character. Obviously, it’s very hard to learn everything about somebody. Sometimes you have somebody who in college didn’t have any incidents and they get to the pro level and with the fame and fortune and so forth that comes with the position, they do something that you don’t expect."

"So, we’re certainly going to try to get better, but I don’t think you can ever be perfect in that regard."

Despite leaving on bad terms, Clark Hunt says the organization is still rooting for Kareem to better himself.

"I think the most important thing for Kareem is that he get some counseling that can help him with his issues ... and I heard today that there was a report that he was going to do that, and certainly we wish the best for Kareem in the future. I hope that at some point he’s able to come back to the National Football League, not sure when that will be."

"But, our message to him was that even though we’re having to part ways with you today, we’re still supportive of you. And, if you need us to get you some help off the field, we’re willing to do that."

Jason Sudeikis Call Him Steph Curry at Knott's ... Sinks Lots O' Treys

Published | Updated

Jason Sudeikis still looks like he's starring in "We're the Millers," and by that we mean Reggie Miller ... because his hoops shot looks NBA-ready ... in theme parks, anyway.

The actor was hanging out with Olivia Wilde and their kids over the weekend at Knott's Berry Farm in SoCal, where Jason showed out for a basketball carnival booth game. It was pretty much a 3-point contest ... and Jason crushed it.

He misses a few here and there from the corner but really gets into a groove at the top of the key ... where he gets bucket after bucket. Unclear what Jason and co. ended up winning, but ya gotta imagine it was something decent.

Like one of those giant, slightly terrifying, teddy bears.

Nike's Phil Knight on Kaepernick 'I Don't Know If He's Being Blackballed'

Published | Updated

Nike has put their money behind Colin Kaepernick -- and now the man who founded the company tells TMZ Sports, he believes the QB should still be playing in the NFL.

We saw shoe legend, Phil Knight leaving Michael's restaurant in New York the other day and while he threw his support behind Colin -- he stopped short when we asked if he believed CK is being blackballed by the NFL.

"I don't know," Knight told us ... "I don't know."

80-year-old Knight still serves as Chairman Emeritus for the Swoosh -- the company that recently inked Kaepernick as the face of its "Just Do It" 30th Anniversary Campaign.

After the first Kaepernick ad dropped back in September, the brand reportedly saw a 31% boost in online sales ... so, ya gotta think Phil would be pumped about bringing Kaep back into the fold.

One more thing ... what kind of shoes does the $30 BILLION Nike founder rock out in public?

Phil says they're special "PK 80s" -- a special line of shoes created to honor Phil's 80th birthday. We're having a tough time finding the exact model and value of the shoes ... but we're working on it.

Roger the Ripped Kangaroo Dead at 12

Published | Updated

Australia just lost a true legend ... Roger the ripped kangaroo has died at 12 years old.

Roger -- AKA Kangaroo Jacked -- lit the internet on fire back in 2015 after pics of him crushing a metal bucket with his hands went viral.

The 6'7", 200-lb. 'roo was living at the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Australia ... and his videos and pictures showing off his Schwarzenegger-esque physique were a big hit on the web.

"Sadly Roger has passed away of old age," owner Chris Barnes announced on Facebook. "He lived a lovely long life and was loved by millions around the world."

Barnes rescued and raised Roger as a joey after his mother was killed in a car accident ... and in 2016 announced the kangaroo was dealing with arthritis and vision loss.

"We will always love you and miss you Roger"

Pour one out for Roger. This one hurts.

Deontay Wilder I Want To Be In 'Creed III' ... As Clubber Lang's Son

PASSIONATE ACTOR

Deontay Wilder ain't finished with his superstar rise by a long shot ... 'cause now he wants to take Hollywood by storm ... and he's got the PERFECT role in mind to get his career started.

As Clubber Lang's son ... in the next "Creed" movie.

If you don't remember Clubber (shame on you), he was the total BADASS played by Mr. T in "Rocky III" -- and the first guy other than Apollo to put something on Rock's ass.

We got Wilder in NYC, and he told us he DEFINITELY wants to make a serious splash in the film industry and thinks this role could be the one.

"That's what I'm all about, my passion is acting!"

Think about it ... Lang was a big, scary guy who hit like a ton of bricks ... and if you're going to cast another big, scary guy who hits like a ton of bricks, is there anyone better?

FYI -- Wilder says he doesn't look at acting as a side hustle or hobby, telling our guy he wants it to be his full-time career after he hangs up his leather.

We hope that's after another fight with Tyson Fury AND after a huge fight with Anthony Joshua ... but we can only hope.

Kanye West How to Ollie 101 No Air, But Gettin' There!

YEEZY ON WHEELS

Kanye West definitely ain't no Lil' Skateboard P -- aka Pharrell Williams, if you'll recall -- but it looks like he's interested in picking up some tricks of the trade ... like ollieing.

Ye was down in Miami, FL Sunday where he ran into skate videographer and Jenkem Magazine contributor Alex Raspa, who was quick to hop on the opportunity to teach the MC some moves after learning Kanye never learned how to ollie. It's skateboarding 101.

Alex's first tip for Kanye -- be comfortable, bro! He then shows Ye how to pop it up, slide the front foot up the board ... and try to get some air while landing back on the wheels.

GETTING THE HANG OF IT

Simple enough, right? Eh ... maybe not. Mr. West gives it a valiant effort, but he's no Tony Hawk. Gettin' close to Weezy status though! Kanye cruises a bit before making another ollie attempt ... getting praise from onlookers. But he tells 'em to hold their props for his "weak ass" tricks. It's big air or bust around these parts, apparently, for Yeezy.

Self-deprecating humor at its finest. Gotta love it.

Kareem Hunt Reportedly Enters Anger Management ... & Alcohol Counseling

Published | Updated

Kareem Hunt is reportedly tackling his issues by heading to counseling for alcohol and anger management in the wake of his surveillance video scandal.

Citing sources familiar with the situation, NFL.com reported Sunday that the former Chiefs running back entered counseling this week. The details of how long he's expected to be in counseling or where he's getting it done weren't immediately clear.

THE BRUTAL FOOTAGE

Clearly, Kareem is putting himself on the right track after he was caught on video attacking a 19-year-old woman earlier this year at a Cleveland hotel. The NFL is also investigating 2 other incidents in which he's believed to have gotten violent.

During one of those scuffles in January, Kareem was seen being restrained on video moments after he allegedly beat up a 37-year-old man in a Kansas City nightclub. Another incident in June -- which was not caught on video -- involves Kareem allegedly punching a guy in the face.

He was cut by the Chiefs soon after the surveillance footage was posted by TMZ Sports. Kareem is eligible to be picked up by another team on waivers, but not before serving an anticipated multi-game suspension ... pending the NFL's investigations, of course.

Ex-WWE Star Big Cass Suffers Seizure During Fan Meet & Greet

Published | Updated

Big Cass had to be rushed to a hospital after collapsing and suffering a seizure at a pro wrestling event -- but several fans thought the drama was just part of the show.

Cass was scheduled to wrestle Saturday at Tommy Dreamer's House of Hardcore event in Philly. Several fans tell TMZ Sports ... the former WWE star was about to sit down for a fan meet and greet when the seizure began. We're told BC went down hard and was convulsing on the ground.

While one person did yell for medical attention, most of the fans stood around expecting another wrestler to charge into the scene. We're told they thought it was part of the show -- which also featured, David Arquette, BTW.

Luckily, medics and a doctor responded, the seizure subsided ... and it appears he did not hit his head when he collapsed. Big Cass was released from the WWE earlier this year, allegedly due to issues with alcohol. Dreamer told fans the seizure was not the result of substance abuse.

Cass wasn't able to wrestle, as scheduled, but he was awake and alert when he was transported to a hospital.

We're checking for an update on his condition.

Brett Favre I'm Not Right For Packers Job ... But I Know Who Is!

Published | Updated

Sorry, Packers fans ... Brett Favre says he's almost certainly not coming back to coach Green Bay -- but he does know who should ... DOUG PEDERSON!!!

Favre is actually a candidate to replace the fired Mike McCarthy, according to some gambling sites ... and while No. 4 says he's flattered, he can't see that happening right now.

So -- we had to ask -- who WOULD be a good fit for the spot??

Brett threw a couple names at us -- including an ex-Seahawks offensive coordinator and the current Bills OC -- before he revealed the most intriguing name.

HERE'S MY PICKS

"Doug Pederson," Favre says.

Of course, Pederson's got a pretty good job already -- coaching Carson Wentz and the Eagles in Philadelphia with one Super Bowl ring already on his finger.

But, crazier things have happened ... and there is an obvious connection to Green Bay -- Pederson played there for two separate stints when was a QB in the league.

No matter who eventually takes the job ... Favre tells us they better get ready to give the reins to Aaron Rodgers.

"You make sure that Aaron runs the show," Brett says.

Soooo ... what do ya say, Doug??

Richard Sherman I'm Gonna Whoop Marshawn's Team In New Football League

Published | Updated

Richard Sherman is taking his role in the Fan Controlled Football League VERY seriously ... telling TMZ Sports he's GUARANTEEING win after win against his good friend, Marshawn Lynch.

Sherman and Lynch just signed on to be owners and captains in the FCFL ... a football league where the fans decide everything from the roster, the team name, logo and even the play-calling.

Although the 49ers star says he won't be suiting up for the FCFL after his playing days, he makes it clear he is out for blood when his team goes against Beast Mode's squad.

"It's gonna be really fun. Obviously, we're gonna have to beat his team over and over and over again," Sherman says. "I hope he doesn't get too upset at that."

There's a silver lining for Lynch, though ...

"I'll take him out to dinner after we wax him a few times."

Riddick Bowe Me Vs. Wilder? ... 'I'd Tap That Ass'

Published | Updated

Riddick Bowe says with three months of training, he'd whoop the hell out of Deontay Wilder ... and the dude is dead serious.

"I'd tap that ass," Riddick tells TMZ Sports.

Bowe is 50 years old now and Deontay's a 33-year-old coming off the fight of his life ... but the boxing legend says none of that matters.

"If you gave me three months, I'd tap that ass. Give me three months, we could do it ... If you gave me three months, yessir. Without question."

So, what makes the retired boxer so confident? He tells us his relationship with Wilder's trainer, Mark Breland, is the key.

"I know exactly what he's thinking and when he's thinking it!"

As for Wilder's right hand ... Bowe says that could be a problem, but, "When I get up, I'll put my foot in your ass!"

BTW ... Deontay ain't the only one Bowe's got his sights set on -- he's callin' out Shaquille O'Neal too!

"Shaq Daddy, let's make it happen, Shaq! Let's do the damn thing. Let's rumble, young man, let's rumble!"

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BETTER

Jake Paul is firing back at Deji's claim he's "too p***y" for a rematch ... telling TMZ Sports he's got MUCH bigger opponents in mind ... and one of them is Conor McGregor's right-hand man!!!

We spoke with the social media superstar -- who Forbes just named the 2nd-highest paid YouTuber of 2018 -- about Deji calling for a rematch of their boxing super fight from August.

Jake slams the door on another fight with Deji ... saying he wants a REAL challenge -- either Bellator star Dillon Danis or his internet rival FaZe Banks!!!

Now we know Jake has been calling out Conor for a while ... so maybe he's getting slightly more realistic going after Danis.

As for Banks -- if you follow YouTube beef (yes, it exists), you know there's a big history between the 2 ... from Jake accusing Banks of assaulting his assistant (which he later apologized for) to Banks now dating Jake's ex, Alissa Violet.

Jake says he's seen all the trash Banks has been saying on Twitter ... and tells us he's down to settle everything in the ring.

"FaZe Banks, fight me," Jake says. "You tweeted at me. Step up to the plate. Do it for your girl."
