Ohio State University quarterback-turned-wide receiver Braxton Miller doesn't seem to be having much trouble with the position change ... based on the crazy one-handed snags he appeared to make.

Miller hit the gridiron with teammate Chase Fields, and was shagging punts one handed -- not that big a deal. Except, as our friends at BSO pointed out -- he was also holding 5 BALLS in his other hand! Pretty impressive.

It didn't take Luke Walton long to win his 2nd championship of the summer -- this time in beach volleyball ... and his teammates included Richard Jefferson and Matt Leinart.

The former NFL and NBA players were part of Team Fletch ... which won the coveted Six Man title in Manhattan Beach, CA this weekend. Two awesome things about the victory: First, the former pro athletes mostly rode the bench. Beach volleyball is serious biz in MB!

Secondly, Walton -- now an assistant coach with the NBA champ Golden State Warriors -- had to sport the rival Lakers gear, since that's also Team Fletch's uni.

Doesn't look like the Warriors minded the unintentional diss, since the team shouted out Walton's victory on social media.

Ronda Rousey would not be denied in the Octagon AND in the kitchen -- where a chef whipped up her famous celebratory meal ... even though she was behind enemy lines!

As we all know by now, Ronda celebrates each victory with wings -- but considering Brazil is hardly known as a chicken wing central ... you had to wonder if she could keep that up this weekend.

Well, TMZ Sports has learned RR did manage to toast her whupping of native Brazilian Bethe Correia with a plate full of buffalo wings, and a side of blue cheese dressing! Ronda's camp confirms a private chef at her hotel in Rio made the meal for her specially.

Yes, the wings took longer to eat than the fight -- they always do, these days.

Chad Johnson's daughter Cha'iel continues to make a mockery of the youth track & field world ... 'cause she just blew through everyone at the 800m Jr Olympic final.

Cha'iel just won gold at the Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Jacksonville posting a final time 2:27.13 ... almost a full three seconds faster than the lil tykes looking at her back.

Indiana Pacer Jordan Hill had the nerve to ask cops if they HAD to arrest him ... after they busted him doing 107 mph -- and the exchange was all caught on dash cam video.

TMZ Sports got the full video, including the audio, which reveals Hill's hysterical attempt to get some leniency. As we previously reported, he got arrested last week in Georgia, and after cops pulled him out of his Range Rover -- shirtless, for some reason -- he tried to turn on the charm.

Watch the clip -- the police officer said, "What's your story, man? Just driving like an idiot?" Hill actually mutters an excuse which clearly did NOT sway the officer ... who quickly put him in cuffs.

Drake is set to shut down Toronto with his performance at OVO Fest tonight ... and when he hits the stage, he'll likely be rockin' some new ice.

A 9-year-old bat boy died in a freak accident at a baseball game -- Kaiser Carlile was struck in the head by a batter in the on deck circle.

Kaiser suffered the fatal blow on Saturday during a semi-pro summer league game in Kansas. According to reports ... he had just picked up the bat from the previous hitter ... when the player taking practice swings accidentally hit Kaiser.

Carlile was wearing a helmet. He reportedly initially fell down, stood up, but quickly collapsed again. He was rushed to a Wichita hospital, but died on Sunday from his injuries.

Kaiser was bat boy for the Liberal Bee Jays of the National Baseball Congress (not affiliated with MLB) ... and the NBC said, "Kaiser was simply doing something he loved. He was simply doing a job most kids across America dream of having for one night or multiple summers."

Jose Canseco might've just hit the jackpot ... 'cause hip hop superstar Soulja Boy tells TMZ Sports he's willing to drop some major cash to fund Canseco's poker obsession.

Soulja was hitting the clubs in L.A. when he started yapping to our guy about a new venture called the World Poker Fund ... where celebrities find average Joes to stake in high limit poker events.

So we had to ask ... would Soulja be down to put a little of that hip hop money behind former Major League Baseball star Jose Canseco ... who's been competing in big money tourneys for years and recently launched his own campaign to find financial backers to stake him.

We spoke to Joe Avianne ... owner Avianne jewelers in New York ... and he tells us Miller went on a tear in his shop, copping every single diamond encrusted bobble he could get his hands on.

The haul included ...

-- Two 7.5 karat diamond "Royal Collection" charms.
-- Two Rolex Watches.
-- Two Hublot "Big Bang" King Diamond watches.
-- Two diamond chains ... 25 and 35 karats respectively.

All tolled ... over $220k worth of club-slaying bling. Now, all he needs is a fat ass ring to match.

1:55 PM PST -- A rep for Dennis Rodman tells TMZ, Dennis had no intention of getting behind the wheel and his girlfriend drove to and from the carwash.

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was wasted at a carwash Sunday morning in the O.C. ... at least according to several eyewitnesses, and it was bad enough that the cops were called ... TMZ Sports has learned.

It happened at a Costa Mesa car wash ... several people came in close contact with him -- including employees -- say he smelled of alcohol and was acting weird. We're told he walked up to a man and put his hand on his shoulder and said, "Hey white guy." And they say he walked up to several girls, telling them they were hot and they should check out his boat in Newport.

2:20 PM PST -- Daddy Dave's wife took to his Facebook to let fans know that despite a concussion, bruised lung and some bumps and bruises, Dave is recovering in his own room.

The video is horrific ... a drag race comes to a quick, violent end when Daddy Dave from "Street Outlaws" loses control of his vehicle and it slams into a wall and barrel rolls.

It happened at the Amarillo Dragway in Texas Saturday night. Dave was driving a nitrous-fed Chevy II and struck the wall seconds after the race started.

Two POWERHOUSES in the weightlifting community are offering their support to Janae Marie -- the bodybuilding champ who revealed she's transgender ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, Janae -- formerly Matt "Kroc" Kroczaleski -- said she's concerned about competing in the future because she's worried about a possible backlash.

But we spoke with bodybuilding legend Shawn Ray -- a 12-TIME Mr. Olympia finalist -- who tells us he's got Janae's back ... and he's not the only one.

"This is a good place for him," Ray said ... "We're a melting pot of people. You cannot go out and discriminate against people."

Ray adds, "He may never be totally accepted with lipstick and a wig at bodybuilding competition. But, honestly, I don't think he's going to have a hard time fitting in with most people if he's jacked."

We also spoke with Brian Shaw -- the 3-time (and reigning) World's Strongest Man -- who says he doesn't completely "understand the issue" but adds, "I'm not in a position to judge. I can't pass judgment, I'm not perfect."

Shaw adds, "[Janae] is a fairly well-known athlete. So to have success in the arena and then come out and be honest, I respect that."

Add Yoga to the list of things Lebron James does better than everyone else ... that's according to a big time college basketball star who tells TMZ Sports LBJ is the king ... of the downward facing dog.

We spoke to Isaiah Taylor -- a bball star from the University of Texas -- that was present when Bronny led an impromptu Yoga session at NIke's Basketball Academy in L.A. a couple weeks back.
