The NY Jets are one step closer to being the hottest team in the NFL -- all thanks to Denise Richards.

The 44-year-old rocked a tiny Gang Green bikini out in San Diego this week ... begging the question -- since when is she a Jets fan?!

Adrien Broner made $1.3 million for his fight against Shawn Porter, who beat him soundly for 11 of the 12 rounds.

With his new riches Broner decided to buy a couple of new cars, a Benz and a Maybach ... so say our friends at BlackSportsOnline.

Broner is scheduled to be back in the ring in October. No word on if the opponent will be a soft touch or another big name.

Drake might be persona non grata in the City of Brotherly Love over his beef with Meek Mill ... at least according a Philadelphia Eagles linebacker.

We spoke with Mychal Kendricks who says Meek is BELOVED in the city -- "he definitely runs Philly, bro" -- and implied that Drake could have serious problems there now that the two are beefing.

"I wonder how it's gonna be if Drake tries to come and perform there ..."

He hasn't played 1 minute for the Clippers yet ... but Paul Pierce has already found a way to DISAPPOINT his new coach -- when he CHOKED on the mound at the Dodgers game.

FYI -- Pierce had the honor of throwing out the 1st pitch at Dodgers Stadium earlier this week ... but failed ... and got showered with boos from the crowd.

So, when we saw Doc Rivers in L.A. yesterday, we showed him the footage for the first time to get his candid reaction -- and it was hilarious.

"On no. That is awful."

Check out the clip ... Rivers does offer a pretty good excuse for Pierce ... and then reveals an embarrassing baseball secret about himself.

Chicago Bears defensive back Tim Jennings -- who was busted for DUI on his way to a parent/teacher conference -- will NOT be going to jail ... after striking a plea deal with prosecutors.

Jennings -- a 2-time Pro Bowler and a huge part of the Chicago defense -- was arrested back in January after cops say he was going nearly 100 mph on a Georgia interstate.

Cops say his breath reeked of booze -- but Jennings said he had stopped drinking 10 hours before and was speeding because he was late to his kid's parent/teacher conference at school.

Now, we've learned Jennings cut a deal -- pleading guilty to reckless driving. As for the DUI charge, that was tossed.

Jennings was sentenced to 12 months probation and must complete 40 hours of community service -- and it CAN NOT be football related.

He's also required to complete a DUI program and pay a fine.

12:24 PM PT -- Jennings' attorney issued a statement to TMZ Sports saying the DUI charge was "completely dismissed today due to a lack of evidence to proceed on the DUI."

"From the inception of this case, Mr. Jennings admitted that he was speeding when encountered by law enforcement. Mr. Jennings steadfastly denied that he was driving while under the influence."

Leave it to the NY Jets fans to throw salt in the Patriots wounds -- trolling the team by flying a "CHEATERS" banner over the New England practice today.

The sign, created by Jets Fan Media, read ... "Cheaters Look Up."

Don't worry, Pats Nation is already firing back on the Jets Fan Media twitter page -- one guy wrote back, "The only banner Jets fans will see for a long time."

Devon Still is about to head out for Bengals training camp but not before giving a special farewell to his daughter Leah.

Leah has been sick with cancer, but lately all tests are showing she’s cancer free. Congrats to the Still family.

Baseball great Gary Sheffield says there's one way sidelined Dodgers player could've avoided his mega-zit emergency this week --- TAKE A DAMN SHOWER!!!!

As we previously reported, Turner was HOSPITALIZED after an ingrown hair got out of control -- got infected -- and forced him to be hospitalized (don't worry, he's ok now).

So, when we saw Gary out in NYC we had to ask how he could've avoided the whole zit mess -- teenagers, pay attention.

There's more ... Gary also tells us the most GRUESOME injury he ever witnessed on the diamond -- a crazy moment in 1995 that came THIIIIS close to ending the player's career.

Got a couple thousand bucks lying around? Then you could own William "The Refrigerator" Perry's 1985 Super Bowl ring ... 'cause it just hit the auction block.

It's not Fridge selling the ring -- he already unloaded it back in 2000 to a private collector ... who sold it to someone else in 2007.

Now, it's up for sale again through Heritage Auctions -- which says it also has a picture of Perry holding the ring to prove its authenticity.

As for the specs -- it's 10 karat gold with diamonds ... and it's somewhere between a size 23 and 25 -- so it's HUGE.

John Rocker UNLEASHED THE FURY all over a sports memorabilia dealer in NY this week -- cussing the guy out for being late to pick him up en route to the airport ... in classic John Rocker fashion.

The ex-MLB pitcher -- and former "Survivor" contestant -- was out in Cooperstown, NY this past week signing autographs at an event for Paterno Brothers Sports ... and things went fine until it was time to go the airport.

According to Brian Paterno ... Rocker's car was running late due to unexpected traffic on Monday -- and when it got to his hotel, Rocker was furious -- and ripped into the people who were in charge of his transportation.

One of the people traveling in the car with Rocker began recording Rocker's meltdown -- in which you can hear John tearing everyone a new A-hole.

Lots of cuss words ... some insults ... more cussing ... and more general Rocker rage.

Eventually, John got to the airport -- but missed his flight. You can imagine how that went.

Count Mike Epps among the people piling on to Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's terrible week ... 'cause the movie star tells TMZ Sports the NFL will be far LESS SHADY now that the Pats have been punished.

Epps was out in NYC promoting his (and LeBron's) new show "Survivor's Remorse" when we asked the die hard Colts fan how he felt about the NFL upholding Tom Brady's suspension.

FYI -- the Colts got SMASHED in the AFC title game last year ... the contest that sparked Deflategate.

Tom Brady has declared war ... formally suing the National Football League over his Deflategate punishment -- claiming the league had no right to suspend him for 4 games.

Brady and the NFL Players Association filed the lawsuit in Minnesota ... and are seeking to vacate the suspension levied against the New England Patriots star by Commissioner Roger Goodell.

The NFL had claimed Brady cheated -- and then tried to cover up any traces of his involvement by destroying his Samsung phone. Brady has denied any wrongdoing.

At this point, Tiger Woods should probably be open to ANY suggestions that might help his golf game ... which is why he was all ears when our photog threw out a tip about an inspirational movie that seems up his alley.

NBA legend/vegan crusader John Salley is joining the chorus of celebs who are incredulous over the death of Cecil the lion ... but he raises an issue we haven't heard up to now ... how did a dentist blow $55k to pay hunters to kill the lion?

Salley went on TMZ Live to describe his outrage ...then wondered aloud how much this dentist charges for novocaine.

NFL star Junior Galette -- who was just released by the Saints for off-the-field issues -- was charged with 3 misdemeanors in Louisiana stemming from a traffic stop gone wrong ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We've obtained court docs which show Galette was pulled over in his green Mercedes on July 7th -- but during the stop, cops say they noticed Junior was driving on a suspended license.

Cops also say he didn't have proper tags on his car at the time.

Ultimately, Galette was charged with 3 counts -- and has been ordered to appear in court on August 10th ... the same day he has a hearing in a civil case filed by a woman who accused him of domestic violence.

MLB legend Joe Carter says he's "honored" to have been injected into the Drake vs. Meek Mill feud -- saying it's AWESOME that Drake used his image to go after Meek because "My kids feel I'm legit now."

Backstory -- Drake used an ICONIC image of Carter's Game 6 walk off homerun that lifted the Toronto Blue Jays over the Philadelphia Phillies back in 1993 as the cover art to his new diss track against Meek.

FYI, Drake is from Toronto, Meek is from Philly -- so, you can see why Drake decided to use the pic to reinforce his anti-Meek message.

As for Joe -- he LOVES IT -- telling TMZ Sports, "My Twitter's been blowing up! It put my name back in the mix!"

He adds, "I had no idea [Drake was going to use that photo] ... I'm honored that he used it."

Carter tells us he knows Drake and has seen him around Toronto several times over the years -- and says Drake is a great ambassador for the city, which Joe considers his 2nd home.
