Another Lakers star, another settlement in a high profile rape case ... with Nick Young reaching an agreement with his accuser -- exactly 10 years after Kobe Bryant settled with his.

Seems like the final nail in the coffin for Michael Sam's engagement -- 'cause now his former fiance has sent Sam's ESPY packin'.

Michael had proudly displayed his 2014 Arthur Ashe Courage Award in the kitchen at the Dallas home where he was living with longtime BF Vito Cammisano during their time together ... and it was still there as recently as July 10th.

But in Vito's brand new YouTube video -- released on July 17th -- the ESPY is noticeably absent ... another sign the two are dunzo for good.

As we previously reported, the relationship began to sour last month ... and this past weekend, Sam hit the Hollywood club scene with no sign of Vito.

Looks like Sepp Blatter forgot to check the weather report before holding a press conference on Monday because the outgoing FIFA prez got caught in a freak rainstorm!

Donald Trump just got some praise from a very powerful man -- Patriots owner Robert Kraft ... who hailed Donald as a financial wizard ... even if he turned down a chance to buy the Pats in the '80s.

There are reports Trump had a shot to buy New England in 1988 for somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 million ... but passed 'cause he didn't think it was worth it.

Kraft bought the team in '94 for $172 mil -- and now they're reportedly valued at $2.6 BILLION!!

So, when Kraft was leaving Craig's in West Hollywood last night, we asked about the Trump story -- to which he replied, "Donald Trump's a very good investor. I wouldn't question anything he does."

We thought we could sense some sarcasm in the statement -- but it turns out, Kraft and Trump have been good friends for 20 years ... so, maybe a serious compliment?

They're some of the best athletes in the world -- but when it comes to throwing a football, the guys from Manchester United proved worse than Tim Tebow.

A bunch of Man U guys -- including Memphis Depay, Phil Jones, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans -- hit up the Seahawks training facility while they were in town to play Club America in Seattle.

The guys got a tour from Seahawks stars Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse -- who tried to teach them how to throw around a football ... but it was awkward.

Look, can't blame 'em ... it's not really their area of expertise -- but when they decided to juggle the pigskin with their feet, things got very entertaining.

Just one week after Serena crushed her on grass, Maria Sharapova took their epic rivalry to the sand ... and in this war, there are no losers.

Maria was spotted on the beach at Montenegro, flaunting her physique in a tiny maroon 2-piece.

Ronda Rousey says her ESPYs shot at Floyd Mayweather had been locked and loaded for more than a YEAR -- telling TMZ Sports she's been plotting against the boxer ever since he dissed her last year.

Ronda says Floyd had gotten snarky with her at the ESPYs last year -- when he claimed he had never heard of the UFC fighter. That was enough to piss off Rousey.

So, when she got the chance to fire away at Floyd, she took it.

UFC superstar Nick Diaz is headed for the slammer -- but not for long ... after cutting a pretty badass deal in his TWO DUI cases ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, the 31-year-old fighter was arrested for DUI in Lodi, CA back in September ... just one year after he was previously popped for DUI in the same city.

Diaz was facing real jail time if convicted in both cases -- but struck a sweet plea deal with prosecutors in which he pled no contest to DUI with .08 or higher, and in exchange 3 charges were thrown out ... including the second DUI.

He was sentenced to 2 days in jail -- and gets credit for 1 day served ... so he'll be a free man in no time (props to Nick's lawyer).

In addition to the jail time, Diaz also got 3 years of informal probation and must complete a DUI educational course.

Move over Floyd ... X-Games star Malcolm Stewart is proving extreme athletes have swag too ... and the proof is his $5 MILLION CAR COLLECTION.

Stewart -- who took third in the Red Bull Straight Rhythm race at the '14 X-Games -- tells TMZ Sports he's been building his 14-car collection with his father for years now ... buying and working on the rides himself.

These whips ain't for cruisin' though ... Malcolm says he NEVER drives the cars (some of them have never even touch the road) and they are strictly to be shown at high end car classic car shows.

His most expensive ride? The1969 Copo Camaro which Stewart says is worth a minimum of $500k ... but could go for up to ONE MILLION to the right buyer.

Two great white sharks attacked surfer Mick Fanning in South Africa, and after a ferocious fight the human won.

The 3-time world champ was competing in the J-Bay Open and the cameras caught the attack.

The Phoenix Suns say a team rep was NOT trying to hit on a fan's wife through email -- claiming the whole thing was a misunderstanding ... but they're giving him free tickets to smooth it over.

The whole thing started when a female Suns fan got an email from a Suns sales coordinator attempting to introduce himself ... and asking her to "lunch or dinner" to "get to know you better."

The woman's husband saw the email -- puffed his chest -- and tweeted at the team, "Hey @Suns I think your sales reps are hitting on my wife."

But the Suns say they were NOT attempting to cuckold the poor guy ... they were just trying to sell her basketball tickets.

Still, the team says they saw the man's point -- and to prove they're not trying to steal his chick, the team offered him 2 tickets to the home game of his choice.

As for the guy who wrote the email -- the rep tells us, "It's a coaching moment. He's a young, hard working kid who's only a few month out of college. The lesson is just be more clear, so there's no room for misinterpretation."

Hoops star Javale McGee was out in Hollywood when we asked him about fellow NBA'er Nick Young's dream to have Kelly sing at his wedding to pop star Iggy Azalea.

BTW -- the dream looks like it could be a reality soon ... 'cause when we talked to R. Kelly about it he said he was all in for idea.

John Cena says he'll NEVER turn his massively ripped back on the WWE -- claiming he wants to work with the organization in some capacity FOR LIFE ... even after he's too old to get in the ring.

Lakers head coach Byron Scott is officially a SINGLE MAN -- with the judge granting his divorce from his wife of 29 years ... but the war over the couple's fortune seems far from over.

We broke the story ... Byron filed for divorce from his college sweetheart Anita Scott last year after 29 years of marriage -- right before he signed a $17 million contract with the Lakers.

The good news for Byron -- the judge has now declared the couple officially divorced .. so he's free to move on ... but according to court docs, they're STILL fighting over money.

As we previously reported, Anita says she lived like a BALLER during the marriage -- and says Byron has a duty to keep her living like a boss ... Gucci, Prada, Chanel, etc.
