Floyd Mayweather could lose tens of millions of dollars from his big payday if his baby mama gets her way ... because she's just filed a lawsuit claiming he ruined her with lies to save his own ass.

Josie Harris, who has 3 kids with Floyd, claims he lied through his teeth in an interview with Katie Couric just 2 weeks before the big fight ... when he claimed Josie was in a drug-fueled rage and he had to "restrain" her during their infamous 2010 domestic violence incident.

Point of fact ... Floyd was convicted of domestic violence and spent two months in jail.

Josie recounts her terror in the lawsuit, explaining how she and Floyd had broken up ... but he flew into a jealous rage that night, broke into her home and viciously attacked her while she was sleeping on her couch ... and her kids saw part of the beating.

Harris says she is now labeled a drug addict thanks to Mayweather's lies -- and was embarrassed and humiliated on a global scale.

Her lawyer, Dan Friedlander, writes in the lawsuit -- Floyd's lies to Couric "were knowingly fabricated in order to hype Mayweather's upcoming fight with Pacquiao, to avoid bad press by deflecting responsibility for beating the mother of his children."

The Knicks will NOT SUCK next year ... well, at least they won't be as terrible ... so says Carmelo Anthony's wife.

We spoke with La La Anthony on the way out of FOX Studios in NYC Monday -- who told us Melo is still "100% dedicated to the team" ... and predicted a serious turnaround when they get back on the court.

Of course, it's hard to get any worse ... the Knicks finished the season this year with the 2nd worst record in the NBA -- only winning 17 games.

As for who La La wants the Knicks to select in the draft -- "I'll take anybody at this point."

Jamie Foxx says his blackness compelled him to do a big over-the top-rendition of the national anthem at the Mayweather fight ... and says technical problems are the only thing to blame for the sharp criticism.

Foxx just appeared on "Ellen" -- and explained that his ear pieces failed while he was in the ring ... causing him to be out of sync with the orchestra that was playing beside him.

Despite the mishap, Foxx says his performance "killed" in the arena (in a good way) ... a statement that seems to be refuted by video of Jake Gyllenhaal ... who couldn't have looked less impressed.

Still, good to have confidence ...

Adrian Peterson has been in NFL exile long enough ... and should come back to the league with the Dallas Cowboys ... so says Dean Cain.

Cain -- who's tight with Dallas head coach Jason Garrett -- says it would be "game over" if the Cowboys were able to sign the running back in his first year back since the child abuse situation.

But Dean says he also knows Adrian ... and firmly believes the guy has "learned his lesson" after he was convicted of beating his 4-year-old son with a switch in 2014.

Before his teammates, before his coach, there's ONE MAN Steph Curry should take to a celebratory dinner to thank for winning the NBA MVP ... his famous father ... so says NBA Commish Adam Silver.

Silver was out in Washington D.C. yesterday, hours after the league announced Curry had won the award -- and explained why when it comes to "thank you" dinners ... it should always be family first.

Ex-LSU football star La'el Collins has told police he has an airtight alibi in the murder of the pregnant woman suspected of carrying his child ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Sources close to the investigation tell us ... Collins -- who was a projected 1st round NFL draft pick before the double murder -- spoke with investigators and said he has witnesses and phone records that prove he was nowhere close to Brittney Mills on the night she was gunned down.

Mills was shot to death around 10:30 PM on April 24th at her apartment in Baton Rouge.

But Collins told investigators he was an hour away in New Orleans at the time of the shooting -- as part of an overnight trip with friends and family to watch the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Golden State Warriors on Saturday April 25th.

We're told Collins also claims he has texts and emails proving the group had planned the trip several days before the killing ... and he believes GPS records on his cell phone will back up his story.

For the record, Collins has NOT been named a suspect in the murder of Brittney and her unborn son.

Our sources say La'el told cops he hadn't spoken with Brittney for several months -- when she first suggested that he could be the father of her child.

Look, Jamie Foxx's version of the National Anthem was not great ... but it wasn't Roseanne Barr either ... so says Marlon Wayans ... who says he has an idea why Jamie may have shot a brick at the Mayweather fight.

Long story short ... Marlon suspects the booze is to blame -- since Jamie was partying with some big dawgs like Puffy and Floyd ... and ultimately gave in the power of the blue dot.

For the record, Wayans says Foxx is a talented genius who's got serious pipes -- he just had an off night.

The guy who organized the San Antonio Spurs post-Game 7 mega-bash was their very own coach -- who paid for a fancy steak dinner, drinks and a party bus to thank his players ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Our Spurs sources tell us ...Coach Gregg Popovich wanted to show his appreciation to his players after they were eliminated from the playoffs Saturday night ... so he organized a night out in Hollywood.

We're told he set up a post-game steak dinner at Mastros in Beverly Hills ... and paid for EVERYTHING (and this place sure as hell ain't cheap).

Afterward, Pop hired a party bus to chauffeur the guys to Project Club L.A. -- and encouraged the team to "take their minds off the game and let loose" ... not wallow in their sorrows.

The guys did just that ... some harder than others ... and as we previously reported, Tim Duncan had to carry at least ONE of his over-intoxicated teammates back to the bus.

Pretty cool boss.

Stephen A. Smith is obviously a close personal friend of 50 Cent ... 'cause TMZ Sports has video of the ESPN host taking the stage with Fiddy this past weekend in Vegas and ... it's funny in a good way.

50 was performing at Drai's Friday night when 47-year-old Smith hopped onstage for what we'd like to believe was an audition for membership in the G-Unit.

Lawrence Taylor Jr. -- the son of NFL legend Lawrence Taylor -- just plead guilty to statutory rape, child molestation, and aggravated sodomy (oral sex) ... and was sentenced to 30 years in prison ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We broke the story ... Taylor Jr. was arrested in Georgia after two 13-year-old girls told cops Lawrence had forced himself upon them on separate occasions.

According to Cobb County Superior Court officials, Taylor Jr. was sentenced to 30 years in jail ... but will be eligible for release in 10.

TMZ Sports spoke with the father of one of the victims ... who says he is happy Taylor Jr. is off the streets, but feels he should have gotten MORE time for his crimes.

We reached out to the Taylor family -- so far, no comment.

Chris Brown is accused of brawling with another guy early Monday morning during a basketball game in Las Vegas -- and police have named him a suspect for battery.

The altercation went down at the Palms Casino Resort -- according to police ... Chris was playing hoops at 3:42 AM and at some point he got into an argument with one of the guys playing -- and allegedly punched him. The pickup game was being played in the famous Hardwood Suite ... where Chris was staying.

Police responded to the scene, but didn't talk to Brown when they got there.

Cops say Chris now has 2 options: either sign a citation for misdemeanor battery, and agree to show up in court to face the charge -- OR take his chances with the D.A ... who would decide whether to press charges.

TMZ broke the story ... Brown just settled a lawsuit over another fight during a pickup basketball game in an L.A. gym.

But he also dodged a major bullet -- if the Vegas fight had happened before Chris got off probation in the Rihanna case -- back in March -- he could be going back to jail.

Charlie Sheen has a message for MLB superstar (and recovering substance abuser) Josh Hamilton -- "F**k AA" ... have a drink and go hit some bombs."

Sheen is FURIOUS at the Los Angeles Angels for the way they treated the embattled slugger -- claiming they did him dirty by trading him to the Rangers after admitting drug use.

Now, Sheen isn't just blasting the team -- but the whole concept of Alcoholics Anonymous altogether ... with a scathing new message on Twitter.

"Dear Josh Hamilton, How you are being treated by the 'Devils' is shameful. F*ck AA. Have a drink and go hit some bombs!"

We're gonna guess AA is going to respectfully disagree with Mr. Sheen's position. We're calling 'em for comment -- stay tuned.

Here's footage of boxing superstar Adrien Broner GOING ABSOLUTELY BERSERK after winning at the baccarat table in Vegas Sunday night ... yelling, screaming and AIR HUMPING the table.

It's unclear how much cash Broner had on the table in the high roller's room at the MGM Grand -- but it must have been A LOT ... because any normie woulda been kicked out of the place in a heartbeat.

The video is pretty hilarious ... Broner starts yelling about how he "f**ked this town up" with "no condoms" ... while thrusting his junk into the table.
