An off-duty police officer says he witnessed a man he believed to be Jon Jones fleeing from a hit and run crash -- ON FOOT -- moments after the accident ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The Albuquerque Police Dept. tells us ... the suspect literally ran from the scene Sunday morning moments after the collision, which injured a 20-year-old pregnant woman.

We're told an off-duty police officer happened to be in the area ... and told investigators he watched a man flee the scene ... a man who he believed to be Jon Jones.

BTW -- Jones is 6'4" and 205 pounds.

Cops tell us they searched the suspect's vehicle -- a rental car -- and found documents with Jon's name on them.

If you don't wanna pay $100 for the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight, ya might wanna head south of the border ... because the entire country of Mexico is getting the fight for FREE!!!

The World Boxing Council tells TMZ Sports ... two major Mexican TV networks have agreed to air the fight, Televisa and Azteca --so if you have a TV, you're good to go.

The WBC tells us, "Televisa and Azteca must be recognized for their great commitment, for bringing to Mexico this bout for free. This has never, ever happened in any country of the world."

FYI -- Mexico also happens to be a major sponsor of the fight ... and the official beer of the bout is Tecate. Bottom line, Mexico is HEAVILY invested in the matchup despite the fact neither fighter is Mexican.

Hayden Panettiere's face during her man's boxing match at Madison Square Garden this weekend can be summed up in two words ... FINISH HIM!!!

The governor of Virginia says he's "aggressively" trying to move the Redskins OUT of Washington D.C. and into the 10th state -- telling TMZ Sports it's simply "where they belong."

Gov. Terry McAuliffe has been gunning for a brand new football stadium in Virginia -- and strongly believes it would be the PERFECT fit for the Redskins.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are NOT ready to divorce ... in fact, they're secretly talking.

Sources connected to both Khloe and Lamar tell TMZ, the 2 of them are not romantic and are not talking reconciliation, but they don't want to close the door on the marriage either. That explains why Khloe's divorce has been laying dormant in the courts for more than a year ... the judge has even said if she doesn't s*** or get off the pot, he'll dismiss it.

Our Lamar sources says there's bad blood on both sides. It's not as if he's begging her to reconcile ... he feels betrayed by Khloe as well. The Lamar sources say she's told him he has to make some sort of "grand gesture" before they can go the next step, and so far he's not willing to do it.

For her part, we're told she has "a big heart" and doesn't want to hurt him by sealing the deal on the divorce. But it's more than just mercy ... we're told she still has feelings for him.

As for the pic Khloe posted showing her "LO" tattoo on a gearshift ... we're told it's not a sign she's going back with Lamar ... she just digs her new Bentley.

UFC superstar Jon Jones has now been named a suspect in a hit and run crash ... in which a 20-year- old pregnant woman was hospitalized ... the Albuquerque Police Dept. tells TMZ Sports.

A rep for the APD says ... Jon is "wanted for questioning" in regards to a crash that occurred Sunday morning in New Mexico. The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries.

We've reached out to the UFC for comment -- so far, no word back.

There were rumors on social media that drugs were involved in the wreck -- but cops wouldn't say anything about that at this point.

Martin Lawrence isn't such a such a bad boy on the poker tables ... 'cause ex-NBA player Olden Polyince tells TMZ Sports he took the movie star for big cash at cards ... but gave it all back to him.

Polynice -- who played 14 years in the NBA -- has become a major card shark off the court, so when we got him out in L.A recently we had to ask if there were any big time stars he's taken at the tables.

Cecily Strong went in HARD on President Obama and the Secret Service with an envelope-pushing joke about cops killing black men -- and she did it just miles from the Baltimore riots over that very issue.

Cecily hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday night, and got the biggest reaction from the room when she said the Secret Service is "the only law enforcement agency in the country that will get in trouble if a black man gets shot."

The crowd was still gasping when she unleashed another racially charged follow-up.

A Canadian politician is BLASTING Drake ... claiming the rapper offended his fellow countrymen when he shook Paul Pierce's hand this week -- and now he's warning Drizzy, DON'T DO IT AGAIN!

The man with the beef is Councillor Norm Kelly ... a Toronto legislator and die hard Raptor's fan ... who says he was sickened when he saw Drake dappin' up the Washington Wizards star while they're in the middle of a heated playoff series.

"For Drake to have any recognition of Pierce, offended a huge number of fans," Kelly tells TMZ Sports.

"We have no problem shaking hands. Just wait to do it until after the series."

Kelly -- who happens to be a HUGE Drake fan -- says he's not the only Torontonian who feels this way and has some advice for the 28-year-old hip-hop superstar:

ESPN reporter Britt McHenry is finally back to work after serving a week-long suspension for berating a tow truck employee ... and she SWEARS she'll never bitch anyone out again.

McHenry has been assigned to cover the NHL playoffs ... but before she goes back on the air, she issued ANOTHER apology.

"Now that the suspension is over, I want to say again that I'm so sorry for my recent hurtful actions."

"My remarks were completely out of line. Under no circumstances is it ever acceptable to speak to another human being in the manner in which I chose that night."

"That's not who I am as a person and hope those who only know me from this incident will give me a second chance to prove to you how much I value integrity, character and treating people with respect."

Justin Bieber was part of ANOTHER boxing entourage last night ... to watch his BFF Lil Za get in the ring during a college fight night in Los Angeles ... and TMZ Sports has the footage.

Bieber -- who's usually in Floyd Mayweather's corner -- sat in the front row and held up a sign saying, "WE LOVE YOU ZA" ... as JB's posse member made his boxing debut.

Once the bell rang, Za actually held his own ... and looked PRETTY GOOD as he traded blows with his opponent at the gym at Valley College.

Ultimately, Za WON the fight by decision ... and even got some props from pro boxing superstar Andre Berto, who happened to be in the crowd.

Chris Johnson is FLEXIN' again ... showing off his arm strength last night -- nearly 7 weeks after getting capped in the shoulder in a drive by shooting.

The NFL running back was leaving Hooray Henry's on the Sunset Strip -- when we asked how his recovery has been going ... ever since the incident in Orlando, FL in March 8th which left one person dead.

Chris has been training like a maniac over the past few weeks -- so we had to ask ... where do you want to play next season? His answer is about as honest as it gets.

WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson are NOT cancelling their wedding ... despite the fact they were both arrested for domestic violence this week ... but say they are actively "seeking help."

As we previously reported, the two -- who are set to be married on May 8th -- were busted at their home in Arizona after cops say they attacked each other during a heated argument.

Now, Johnson has issued a statement ... accompanied with a pic of the two looking chummy ... saying, "WE'RE OK! @brittneygriner and I are home, injury-free, and still wedding planning!"

"We know we must set better examples, even during the most trying times, and we are EXTREMELY sorry for all the negative attention we brought to ourselves, our family, and the league."

"We are actively seeking help in order to do BETTER."

Kris Humphries seemed pretty clear about Bruce Jenner when he said last night he got outta Dodge just in time, but he says he's now apologizing for being "vague."

Humphries -- who was married to Kim Kardashian and then fought the divorce tooth and nail -- tweeted last night, "Man, I'm glad I got out when I did #gottadoyou."

He just tweeted again, "I have and always will support Bruce hence #gottadoyou. Now recognize I was too vague and sincerely apologize for the way this came across."

Lance Armstrong is not an idiot ... he knows he screwed up in Aspen last year -- and now, he's finally talking about it.

Armstrong appeared on "TMZ Hollywood Sports" this week to talk about why he's participating in Bo Jackson's "Bo Bikes Bama" charity ride on May 2nd.

During the conversation, Lance talked about how much Bo's support has meant to him during some of his tougher times. He also talked about spin class and beer pong.

That's when he brought up the incident in Aspen -- where he pled guilty to careless driving after crashing into two parked cars back in December.

It's the first time he's mentioned the incident ... and he took total responsibility.
