Ronda Rousey says she's VERY CONFIDENT she could beat Laila Ali in a boxing match -- telling TMZ Sports she just needs some time to learn the ropes.

It's no joke ... Ronda was out in NYC Monday when we asked how she felt about the undefeated former boxing champ's recent call-out ... when Laila told us no woman alive could take her in the ring.

But Ronda begs to differ ... saying she'd wreck Muhammad Ali's daughter -- even if the fight didn't go to the mat, where Ronda would clearly have the advantage (arm bar anyone?!).

Ronda also had some tough talk for Houston Texans cheerleader Antonieta Osuna -- a former boxer who recently told us she wants a piece of the UFC champ too.

Gilbert Arenas is being sued by his longtime girlfriend Laura Govan -- the mother of his 4 kids -- who claims Gilbert kicked her out of their L.A. mansion and then sold off her $1 million engagement ring.

TMZ Sports has obtained court docs filed by Govan ... in which she claims her and Gilbert are in the middle of a NASTY split.

In the docs, the "Basketball Wives LA" star claims she started dating Gilbert in 2002 ... before he made nearly $200 million in NBA contract money.

The two never had a formal wedding, but Laura claims they "lived together as husband and wife" and Gilbert promised that she would "share equally" in all of his earnings from 2003 on ... as if they were legally married.

Govan says the relationship fell apart around the end of 2014 ... when Gilbert "notified [Laura] to vacate the premises" of their home.

To make matters worse, Laura says Gilbert then "forcefully took" the $1 million engagement ring he gave to her in 2008 and sold it without her permission.

Now, Laura says she wants her cut of the Arenas fortune -- which she says includes profits from a number of marijuana clinics which she says Gilbert owns.

Michael Sam's performance at this weekend's NFL veteran's combine may have been the final nail in his NFL coffin -- with multiple GMs, agents and scouts saying he wasn't just bad ... but "flat out horrible."

After Sam posted unimpressive numbers, including a slower 40-yard dash time than he posted at the 2014 rookie combine ... multiple high powered NFL sources tell us they believe there's no chance Sam makes an NFL roster this season.

As one big time NFL agent put it ... "My real honest opinion is that he was flat out horrible. He did not belong out there."

An NFL scout who was at the combine tells TMZ Sports he looked stiff and slow ... but says Sam's attitude was even worse. "He thinks he's a superstar. It would be nice if he could do something on the field to back up the attitude."

As for the NFL general managers ... one person says, "The concern was that he didn't look focused on the game. He regressed."

Another high powered NFL agent, who represents multiple Pro Bowlers, tells TMZ Sports ... "Here was a chance to show his determination and dedication and the GMs didn't see that."

"I think there's a chance he could play in the Canadian Football League. He sells tickets. He attracts fans. And from there you never know."

Darren Sharper will be sentenced to 20 years in Louisiana for raping 3 women, but he will only serve 9 of those years behind bars ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Media reports saying Sharper will serve 20 years for the Louisiana rapes are incorrect.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Louisiana prosecutors have agreed in the plea deal, after serving 9 years Sharper will get credit for the remaining 11 while free on parole and probation.

We're told the Louisiana sentence will be served concurrently with sentences in California, Nevada and Arizona. All 4 states require Sharper behind bars for 9 years or less, so 9 is the operative number.

Good thing Gareth Bale is the most expensive soccer player in the world ... 'cause the Real Madrid star might need to repair a few nicks in his Bentley after a crazed fan went BERSERK on his ride Sunday.

Bale's squad was on the losing end of its "El Clásico" matchup with hated rival Barcelona this past weekend ... and after the team arrived back in Madrid, some idiot fans decided to take their frustrations out on Bale's whip as he left the club's training area.

Check out the crazy, crazy video -- the moronic "fans" not only punched and kicked Bale's car ... they went after his teammate Jese Rodriguez as well ... smacking his expensive red sports car.

At one point, Jese rolled his window down ... and it seemed he considered getting out of his car ... but ultimately drove off before the situation got worse.

Darren Sharper just pled no contest to 2 rapes and 4 druggings in California, and he'll only have to serve 9 years ... and now we know Sharper will be a free man again in March 2024.

L.A. County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor sentenced Sharper to 20 years in prison, but he'll only have to serve half that. He gets credit for 2 years because he's been behind bars for a solid year already, so the actual remaining time behind bars is 9 years.

Earlier Monday Sharper pled guilty to sexual assault in Arizona and was sentenced to 9 years, which runs concurrently with California.

TMZ Sports broke the story Sharper will get a maximum of 8 years in Nevada under a deal where he pleads guilty to attempted sexual assault on 2 girls. The Nevada sentence is also concurrent with Arizona and California.

The only missing piece of the puzzle is Louisiana, where Sharper will plead guilty Tuesday to 3 rapes. That deal will be announced tomorrow, but Judge Pastor said in court the total sentence for all cases will be 9 years. That means the Louisiana sentence will also run concurrently.

Short story ... Sharper's legal team seems to have worked a miracle. He could have gotten 2 life sentences in Nevada alone. On top of that, people convicted of rape typically do 85% or more of their sentence, and he's doing only 50%.

Judge Pastor said Sharper will do his 9 years in a federal facility.

Sharper will be placed on parole for 3 years after he's released, and will then be on probation for the rest of his life.

One of Darren Sharper's former New Orleans Saints teammates is FURIOUS over his 9 year prison sentence -- claiming Sharper is "beyond repulsive" and says the punishment is "way too short."

We spoke with ex-NFL linebacker Scott Fujita -- who won a Super Bowl with Sharper in N.O. in 2009 -- and he couldn't believe prosecutors in Nevada and Arizona will only require Darren to serve 9 years for drugging and raping multiple women.

"He was a great teammate, a great player," Fujita says ... "But all that aside, it's disgusting and beyond repulsive."

Battle lines were drawn at the funeral of the man killed in the Chris Johnson drive-by shooting -- when the NFL star was asked to LEAVE the ceremony ... before the victim's mother stopped him and demanded that he come back inside.

Multiple sources tell us ... Johnson arrived late to the ceremony for Dreekius "Rollie" Johnson on Saturday ... but once inside, he was confronted by an angry family member who feels CJ is partly to blame for Rollie's death.

And why? We're told it all stems from CJ's friendship with a man named Kenny Turner -- who was hanging out with Chris and Rollie the night of the shooting.

Turner is a convicted criminal who spent 5 years in prison for aggravated battery stemming from a 2002 shooting incident. He's currently back behind bars for violating his probation.

Multiple sources tell us ... CJ's close friends have felt that Kenny was a bad egg -- and wanted Chris to cut him out of his life for years before something terrible happened.

We're told several family members and friends believe CJ's relationship with Kenny was a factor in the shooting -- which led to the confrontation at the funeral.

Sources tell us ... Chris began to leave the ceremony because he didn't want to be a distraction and was halfway to his car -- when the victim's mother approached him and demanded he come back inside.

We're told she doesn't blame Chris -- and told the running back in front of a group of people that she firmly believed the situation was out of his hands.

Multiple people tell us ... Chris never talked back to anyone -- he was completely respectful -- and ultimately obeyed Rollie's mother's wishes. One source tells us, "He just seemed sad."

Darren Sharper will serve a maximum of 8 years in prison for allegedly attempting to sexually assault 2 girls in Nevada ... and it's especially amazing because he could have gotten a life sentence.

The deal provides that Sharper could be released after 38 months, but the max is 8 years.

We've learned the details of Sharper's Nevada plea deal. It's part of a global plea agreement in Nevada, Arizona, California and Louisiana.

It's hugely significant, because Sharper's sentence will run concurrently with the other sentences, meaning it won't be one on top of the other.

Since Nevada was a potential life sentence, it would seem the 8 years might be in line with the other states, but we won't know until later today. An Arizona judge is about to announce the plea in that state, and later Monday morning a California judge is expected to do the same.

Mo'ne Davis continues to show why she's the most mature 13-year-old alive -- we've just learned she reached out to the president of Bloomsburg University and asked him to reinstate the baseball player who called her a bad name on Twitter.

TMZ Sports spoke with a rep for Bloomsburg who tells us ... President David L. Soltz received an email from Davis and her coach in which they ask that Joey Casselberry's dismissal from the team be reconsidered.

Casselberry was booted from the squad this weekend after he posted a tweet saying, "Disney is making a movie about Mo'ne Davis? WHAT A JOKE. That s*** got rocked by Nevada."

The team said Casselberry violated the athletic department's social media policy -- and possibly the school's code of conduct.

While Bloomsburg says they respect Davis' opinion and praise her for being incredibly mature about the situation -- the school will NOT reinstate the baseball player ... saying, "Right now we're standing firm."

For his part, Casselberry apologized for the tweet and says he's a huge Mo'ne Davis fan.

After we broke the story, Mo'ne spoke with ESPN and explained her decision -- saying, "I know right now he's really hurt ... everyone deserves a second chance."

Darren Sharper pled guilty to 2 counts of sexual assault in Arizona -- one of four states where he faces rape charges -- and was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

The ex-NFL star was in L.A. to enter his plea in the California rape cases -- but addressed the judge in AZ over FaceTime. In addition to the 9 year sentence ... Sharper will be on probation for life.

As we TMZ Sports first reported ... Sharper is getting a max sentence of 8 years in Nevada ... to be served concurrently with his sentences in the other states.

Cincinnati Bengals superstar A.J. Green is officially a married man -- after tying the knot at a SICK star-studded wedding in Georgia ... complete with a hip-hop dance routine featuring his bride.

With teammates like Andy Dalton, Carlos Dunlap and Mohamed Sanu in attendance, Green married his longtime girlfriend Miranda Brooke at the historic 200 Peachtree venue in Atlanta.

The highlights:
-- A.J. had a "Hot Dawg" stand
-- There was a masquerade dance with cool masks
-- And everyone went crazy when they busted out a traditional "second line" dance

As one person who was there put it, "It was the craziest wedding we've ever been to -- beautiful! So happy for A.J. and Miranda."

The Game just got a little more Iron in his diet -- getting Mike Tyson's face tattooed on his fist.

Besides being a huge Tyson fan, Game also has penchant for punching people ... including another rapper named 40 Glocc ... and mentioned that street fight in a post after getting the new ink.

"Now when the judge ask me in court if I whooped 40 glock ass I can truthfully say no & blame it on @MikeTyson .... My right hand man lol."

As for 40 Glocc ... that beatdown went down in 2012 ... yet it seems to live on forever.

Antonio Cromartie burns in the NFL and the kitchen ... so much so that the NY Jets superstar tells TMZ Sports he wants to be on Gordon Ramsay's "Hell's Kitchen" ... and he thinks he could win.

We spoke to Cromartie -- or "Chef Cro" -- and turns out he takes his smoke game so seriously he's willing to show the world he can out-cook the masses on the hit FOX competition cooking show.

"I want to be on Hell's Kitchen and I think I could win."

Cromartie isn't talking about tossing some fish sticks in the oven either ... it turns out the Pro Bowler's culinary arsenal includes dishes like lemon herb chicken, pork chops, and of course, the staple spaghetti.

While he normally cooks with a cute little sous chef -- his four-year-old daughter Jersey -- Cromartie says he'd be willing to give up the help and do it alone for the show.

"If Gordon Ramsay ever gave me a shot I would surprise him."

Dave Chappelle's son is the REAL DEAL when it comes to boxing -- and has potential to a legitimate pro ... so says a guy who knows talent, Manny Pacquaio's promoter Bob Arum.

As we previously reported, Chappelle's son has been working out at Wild Card Boxing Club in L.A., where Manny has been training for years.

Last week, Chappelle told us he thinks his kid has talent -- but isn't really sure if he's got what it takes to make it at the pro level.

Well, Arum didn't pull punches out in L.A. last night -- saying the kid's "pretty good" and "could develop into a major boxer."
