Marqise Lee Bum Knee Cost Me Millions Now My Insurance Won't Pay Up

Published | Updated

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee's insurance company is adding financial insult to injury -- refusing to pay up after a blown knee made him drop in the NFL draft ... so now he's suing.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, Lee paid $94k for a disability policy with Lloyd's of London during his final year at USC ... just in case he sustained an injury that affected his NFL future.

As bad luck would have it ... he did, and he fell to the second round of the draft.

In the suit, Lee says Lloyd's owes him $4.5 million -- the difference between the policy amount and his $5.1 million contract. He says the insurance co. is hanging him out to dry by dragging its feet for more than 9 months on paying up.

Shaq and Bieber have history -- they once had a dance battle back before Bieber turned heel.

NY Giants' Larry Donnell IMPOSTOR PRANKS MSNBC 'F**k Her Right in the P***y'

Published | Updated

MSNBC thought it had the very first interview with NY Giants tight end Larry Donnell ... who was on board the Delta flight that skidded off the runway in NY earlier today.

They were wrong.

Instead, they had an impostor ... who pulled a Baba Booey-inspired prank that culminated with the prankster yelling, "F**k her right in the p***y" while he was live on the air.

As we previously reported, the FHRITP pranks have been driving media outlets CRAZY for months ... with some reporters getting physical in an effort to prevent hooligans from shouting the phrase during live shots.

Somewhere, Jameis Winston is probably smiling ...

Kurt Busch No Criminal Charges In Domestic Violence Case [Update]

Published | Updated

10:47 AM PT -- Busch's ex-GF also issued a statement saying she's "disappointed that full justice was not served here."

10:30 AM PT -- Busch just issued a statement saying, "I am grateful that the prosecutors in Delaware listened, carefully considered the evidence, and after a thorough investigation decided to not file criminal charges against me."

He continued, "As I have said from the beginning, I did not commit domestic abuse. I look forward to being back in racing as soon as possible and moving on with my life."

Prosecutors have decided they will NOT pursue criminal charges against NASCAR driver Kurt Busch over an alleged domestic violence incident ... claiming there's just not enough proof.

Busch was accused of slamming his ex-GF's head against the wall of his trailer during an altercation in Dover, Delaware back in September.

But a rep for the Delaware Attorney General's Office says ... after a thorough investigation, "the admissible evidence and available witnesses would likely be insufficient to meet the burden of establishing beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Busch committed a crime."

"For this reason, the Department of Justice will not pursue criminal charges in this case."

LaGuardia Plane Skids NY Giants Player On Flight 'I Shoulda Stayed Home'

Published | Updated

NY Giants tight end Larry Donnell was aboard the Delta airlines flight that skidded off the runway at LaGuardia Airport moments ago ... and says he KNEW he shoulda stayed home this morning.

Not one of the 149 passengers on board suffered any serious injuries when the plane was coming in for a landing and skidded off the runway. It eventually crashed into a snow bank and came to a stop.

When Donnell got off the plane, he did what most people would do ... took a pic ... and posted the caption, "Look at this s**t! Knew I shoulda stayed my ass at home."

Donnel released a statement after the ordeal, saying, "I’m blessed to be safe and sound after our plane skidded off the runway at LaGuardia airport today. I feel fine physically and hopefully all the other passengers did not have any significant injuries."

He continued, "We were all shocked and alarmed when the plane started to skid, but most importantly, as far as I know, all of the passengers and flight crew were able to exit the plane safely."

Houston Texans Star Allegedly Steals Own Truck ... Cops Investigating [Update]

Published | Updated

3:29 PM PT -- A rep for Swearinger tells TMZ Sports ... "This incident was an unfortunate misunderstanding, and we are working on resolving the issue."

The rep adds, "DJ is just focused right now on his off-season training and looking forward to the upcoming season."

Houston Texans safety D.J. Swearinger is under investigation in Texas ... after the 23-year-old allegedly stole his own truck from a customizer without paying for $20k in upgrades ... TMZ Sports has learned.

It's a bizarre story, but here's how it breaks down:

According to a police report filed in Houston, Swearinger took his 2013 F250 truck to Espi Motors to get his ride pimped out like a boss -- matte black paint with a Batman logo, speakers, new wheels, custom grill, train horn, etc.

But according to Espi, when he came to pick up the whip, he got sticker shock ... and drove it off the lot WITHOUT paying for the work.

Espi tried to track down Swearinger to get the cash, but D.J. went M.I.A. so Espi filed a police report.

Law enforcement sources tell us cops are investigating the situation.

We reached out to Swearinger, his agent and the Texans for comment -- so far, radio silence.

Head on a swivel, right?!

But when it comes to putting his money where his mouth is ... don't expect Tyson to make a 50 Cent style $1.6 MILLION bet on the fight.

"I don't have the money!"

Tyson's never been shy about his financial situation -- he made more than $300 MILLION during his boxing career ... only to end up broke.

But now, Mike's way more responsible when it comes to his cash -- and plans to hold on to it by not making crazy bets.

... especially when the betting line is virtually even.

Pacquiao/Mayweather A-List Can Score Free Seats ... But It's COMP-licated

Published | Updated

If Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio or Rihanna want FREE seats to the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight -- it'll be no problem at all -- as long as they're down to be a walking billboard.

Tickets are in such high demand, fight promoters aren't handing out comped front row seats to high profile stars like they usually do. Instead, they'll be forced to pay up to $100k or more ... just like normies.

But we've learned there's another option. If a celeb is willing to endorse companies by wearing logo-emblazoned gear at the fight -- that company will eat the ticket cost.

For instance, we're told VOCO Vodka & Coconut Water has already made such offers to Leo, RiRi, and Big Willie ... in exchange for front row seats.

We know what you're thinking, but sorry ... you in a VOCO cap just ain't the same as Rihanna in one.

Enjoy the PPV.

Jameis Winston 'It Would Be Great to Play In Florida'

Published | Updated

Jameis Winston tells TMZ Sports -- yes, TMZ Sports -- that it would be "great" to play for an NFL team in Florida ... this just days after he wrapped up a meeting with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The Heisman Trophy winner landed in New York Wednesday ... and with the NFL Draft just 2 months away, we had to ask the possible #1 pick if he had a preference on which team calls his name.

Winston didn't exactly give anything away ... but he did tell us his favorite movie of all time -- shout-out to Tom Hanks.

One last thing ... Jameis was rockin' Nike sweatpants and a Nike sweatshirt ... but an Under Armour backpack. So, we're guessing he hasn't decided on a sponsorship yet.

But at this point, it's probably just a matter of time.

Kevin O'Leary I Won't Invest In Yao Ming's Wine 'Cause I'm Launching My Own!!

We spoke with Mr. Wonderful on "TMZ Hollywood Sports" -- and asked if he would help Yao with the $3 MILLION he's looking to raise to grow "Yao Family Wines."

Kevin -- who's famously OBSESSED with vino -- praised Yao's product but ripped the investment model ... saying he'd rather spend his time, energy and money on his new baby, O'Leary Fine Wines.

"On April 26th on QVC, I'm gonna launch a wine that I made myself," O'Leary told us.

"This wine is nectar from the nipple of Aphrodite and it's gonna sell for under $100 a bottle."

Sauce Twinz We Got Steve Francis' Chain Back!

Published | Updated

Great news for Steve Francis ... his chain has been recovered -- this according to the Sauce Twinz, who tell TMZ Sports they're planning on giving it back to the NBA star in the next few hours.

We broke the story ... Francis was at a Sauce Twinz show in Houston when someone NOT AFFILIATED with the rap duo ran up on Steve and snatched the gold chain off his neck.

Now, the group's manager, Sauce Diddy, confirms the chain is currently with Big Sosa -- one of his artists who made a video (above) to prove he successfully recovered the necklace.

So, how'd Diddy get the chain? He won't get into specifics ... but police were definitely not involved.

Diddy says he's already been in contact with Steve's camp -- and plans to return the jewelry to its rightful owner by the end of the day.

Steelers' William Gay 1-Man Shirtless Dance Party [Video]

Published | Updated

Steelers cornerback William Gay is taking that whole "dance like no one is watching" thing to new levels ... doing a shirtless dance revue on Instagram ... and we got to say ... dude's got the moves.

Gay -- for reasons we're not sure of -- posted five different videos to the 'gram of him (quite expertly) executing every hot dance move out there including The Whip, The Jook, and the death-defying Bobble Walk.

He even got in a couple of real life inspired joints, including Rich Homie Quan's signature onstage waddle, and his teammate Antonio Brown's touchdown dance The Beanie Wiggle.

Watch, enjoy, but please ... don't try this at home.

Prince Basketball Career Plagued By Height and Turnovers

Published | Updated

A lack of height and an abundance of turnovers ... that's what ultimately led to Prince becoming a musician and not an NBA player ... so says his junior high school coach.

Prince is a well-known lover of hoops, but his playing days are once again on everyone's mind after a school photo of him from way back in the day surfaced online Tuesday.

TMZ Sports spoke with Richard Robinson, who coached Prince Rogers Nelson back at Bryant Junior High in Minneapolis. Besides the fact he's just 5'2" on a good day, Coach Robinson says Prince would toss the ball away like Apollonia tossed off her clothes to jump into Lake Minnetonka.

Robinson told us, "He was quite a good basketball player, but I gave him less playing time because he always threw the ball away. The more turnovers he got, the less time he played."

Just think where J.R. Smith would be today if he had Robinson for a coach ...

Steve Francis 'The Chain Is In Our Possession'

Published | Updated

Steve Francis is adamant that his gold chain is NOT missing in action -- with his rep telling TMZ Sports, "It's in our possession in Houston."

We broke the story ... some thief tried to rip the chain off the NBA star's neck during a rap show in Houston this past weekend.

Now, Steve's publicist Dre Johnson tells us ... "The situation is being resolved as we speak and we will provide physical verification that we have the chain in our possession upon our return to Houston later this week."

Johnson says Francis and his business team have been traveling ever since the incident -- "We had to fly to Boston yesterday to do a deal with Reebok to re-release the classic Steve Francis shoes."

Johnson says the chain-jacker clearly didn't know who he was messin' with -- "When you touch somebody you don't know who you touching. You got to be more careful out here. These young guys don't think, they react and then apologize and backtrack quickly."

As for the fate of the person who yanked the chain, Johnson says Steve will appear on "TMZ Hollywood Sports" in the next few days to explain everything.

Stay tuned ...
