Scottsdale Police want a sit down with Diddy because a disgruntled fan claims the mogul slugged him during a Super Bowl bash -- but video of the incident shows the fan was asking for trouble.

The accuser, Steven Donaldson claims Diddy was slated to host a nightclub party Saturday evening, but didn't show until 1:15 in the morning -- and then, only hung out in VIP ... rarely getting onstage.

Donaldson says he was pissed because he paid $100 to see Diddy -- so he decided to get in his face and cuss him out. In video obtained by TMZ, you can hear Donaldson berating Diddy multiple times before they end up face to face. Donaldson claims that's when Diddy punched him in the face.

The video cuts out as Diddy allegedly throws the blow. Adding insult to possible injury, Donaldson says security tackled him -- NOT Diddy -- and tossed him from the party.

Law enforcement sources say Diddy had split by the time cops arrived, but a very intoxicated Donaldson was there ... and filed a battery report.

We called Diddy's camp for comment, but no word back yet.

He already won the Super Bowl ... and the MVP award ... but could Tom Brady also win an election one day???

Don't count him out ... so says former Congressman Patrick Kennedy -- who says Tom's got all the right qualities for a career in politics.

Kennedy (Dem-Rhode Island) was out in D.C. when he joked that Brady could win any election in the country right now (except for Seattle) ... and praised the guy as a real stud in the community.

For the record, Brady has said he's thought about a political career in the past ... but is leaning toward staying out of it.

Nick Diaz's trainer is calling for the UFC to overturn Anderson Silva's victory at UFC 183 after the fighter tested positive for anabolic steroids.

We spoke with Cesar Gracie who tells us ... "In my opinion it needs to be overturned because you got a guy on performance enhancing drugs."

"I get it. Silva is getting up there in age (he's 39) but if you need steroids to fight you shouldn't be fighting."

Silva won by unanimous decision this weekend ... only for the Nevada State Athletic Commission to reveal after the fight that both fighters had failed drug tests -- Silva for steroids and Diaz for weed.

"Anyone with half a brain would know weed is not a performance enhancing drug," Gracie says ... noting that Nick actually passed a separate drug test before the fight. "They make them take a test before they even license him to fight in Nevada."

Both fighters face suspensions -- but Gracie says the damage to Silva's reputation if far worse than any punishment the UFC can dish out."

In yet another display of freakish athleticism, here's New York Giants superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. dunking like a boss ... while wearing a backpack.

The NFL star -- who was just named offensive Rookie of the Year -- put on an impromptu slam dunk clinic on an outdoor court earlier Tuesday ... and gave a shoutout to LeBron James while he was at it.

Fun Fact -- Beckham Jr. says soccer is his 2nd sport ... not hoops.

Super Bowl Champ Rob Gronkowski partied hard in Hollywood, and you can tell from the giant rip in his pants, the posse running the streets with him, and the hot chicks hanging on him.

But no Gronk celebration is compete until something or someone gets gronked! Sorry, roses ... it was just your time.

Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler is "overwhelmed by Tom Brady's generosity" ... after hearing that Tom wants to give him the truck he got for being named the MVP of the big game.

Butler, of course, made the interception that sealed the Patriots' victory -- and it's been hailed as one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history. Still, Brady was named MVP of the game and was awarded the 2015 Chevy Colorado truck that goes along with the honor.

But Brady went on the radio Tuesday morning and insisted he'd LOVE to give it to Malcolm -- saying the play was nothing short of "incredible."

We spoke with Butler's agent, Derek Simpson, who tells us ... Butler has definitely heard what Brady said ... and he couldn't be more fired up about it!

"He's overwhelmed by Brady's generosity," Simpson says ... "He needs the truck. He loves the truck. He wants the truck -- and red's his favorite color!"

Simpson says Malcolm went to Disney World after the game -- and hasn't had a chance to discuss the arrangement yet ... but says he's confident they'll be able to work something out.

"Malcolm is keeping his fingers crossed. He knows there's no commitment ... he'll be ok if it doesn't work out. But if this happens... he realizes how gracious this would be of Tom."

Lance Armstrong has disgraced himself all over again ... so say police who claim the cyclist hit two parked cars after partying in Aspen ... and then let his GF take the blame.

According to the Aspen PD, Armstrong's SUV was identified in the December 29th incidents -- and upon questioning, Lance's GF Anna Hansen initially told cops she was the driver that night.

She also told the investigator that she and Lance had been driving home from an Aspen Museum Party at the St. Regis Aspen Resort ... and didn't want Lance to drive because he had been drinking.

According to the police report, Anna told cops she lost control of the SUV and struck two parked cars ... then returned to the scene on foot moments later and told the owner of the vehicles she'd pay for the damage.

But the investigator didn't buy Anna's story ... and contacted the valet company that worked the party that night.

The valet told cops ... he specifically remembered helping Anna into the PASSENGER seat after the party and Lance WAS THE DRIVER.

When the investigator confronted Anna with the new info, she "became upset" ... and said that they had stopped at a market on the way home and traded seats, so she drove.

The investigator still wasn't buyin' it.

Get this ... two days later, Anna changed her story AGAIN ... and finally admitted Lance was driving that night. But now she insists he was NOT drinking at the time.

According to cops, Anna said ... "He was not intoxicated, and that was um, you know, I’m sorry I lied to you that morning but I was trying to make [it] sound like, well, I was driving because that was, just, I don’t know … I was just trying to make something up at that time."

As for Lance, he was hit with two citations. He's due in court on March 17th.

Snoop Dogg and Diddy aren't just co-hosting a mega-party during NBA All-Star Weekend ... they're gunning to UNITE THE COASTS once and for all ... Snoop tells TMZ Sports.

The rap moguls have teamed up to co-headline "The Tip Off" mega-concert on February 12th at Madison Square Garden ... and they both want to use the event to help squash any East vs. West beef that may be lingering in the hip-hop world.

"It's been a long waited opportunity for two rap history giants to rep the East and rep the West with love," Snoop says.

"The fans wanted this one! Bringing the coasts together during NBA All-Star Weekend."

And check this out ... Snoop and Diddy could have even more in common this week -- Snoop's football star son is set to announce his college tomorrow ... and UCLA is reportedly in the mix.

Interesting, since Diddy's kid is already a member of the Bruins football team.

One of the jurors in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial has been 86'd from the jury -- after a judge said she was a bigger Patriots fan than she led on to be.

FYI -- during jury questioning, potential jurors were specifically asked how many Patriots game they had attended ... and if they were a fan of the team.

Well, according to the judge ... this particular juror "attended more Patriots games than were disclosed on the questionnaire."

There's more ... the judge also said, "Over the last few years, the juror has expressed an interest in serving on this particular jury" ... this according to WBZ TV's Christina Hager.

The juror has officially been dismissed. An alternate will take her place.

Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell is a HUGE Seahawks fan -- and his wife Etty THOUGHT she was going to capture the majestic game-winning TD in a last second selfie during the game.

Only that didn't happen.

Instead, her selfie (taken from great seats btw) happened to memorialize the worst play in the history of the Super Bowl.

Ya gotta see Perry and Etty tell the story ... it's pretty funny stuff.

Race car driver Tony Stewart -- who accidentally killed a guy during a race last year -- is selling "Tony Stewart Racing" shirts on his online store ... which features a skull in a racing helmet.

Which begs the question ... dude, REALLY?!

The incident made headlines all over the world ... when driver Kevin Ward Jr. got out of his car at a sprint car race and was struck and killed by Stewart. Officials determined Stewart was not at fault.

Stewart said he was so affected by the incident, he went into seclusion for several days.

So, you'd think someone on Stewart's team might raise a red flag over the shirts -- which say "Race Hard" right under a skeleton in a helmet.

Russell Wilson is looking for a new identity after that Super Bowl loss -- so he shaved off his shaggy mop for a fresher, cleaner look.

High and tight ... unlike that pass he threw on Sunday.

He's considered one of the BEST soccer players alive -- but how did Neymar fare when he attempted to kick a 64 yard field goal with an NFL football???

Not well.

Neymar participated in something called the StarClub Challenge -- and tried to see if he could match (or break) the record for the longest NFL field goal ... held by former Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater.

To his credit, Neymar hit the 50 yarder ... and nailed a 60 yard kick (using a soccer ball) ... but when it came to the record, it was more Finkle than Prater.

Gronk gets bouquet of roses ... Gronk SPIKE BOUQUET OF ROSES!!!!!!

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski brought the party train out west Monday night ... hitting up the Hollywood nightclub scene with some pals -- and, of course, things got crazy.

TMZ Sports shot footage of Gronk leaving DBA nightclub -- with a giant rip in the back of his pants -- when he was approached by the infamous "rose lady."

What happened next was legendary ...

Gronk got into town earlier in the day and was kicking it by his hotel pool in the sunny 77 degree weather.

Warren Sapp is being offered a helping hand ... or orifice ... from a Nevada brothel that says the next time Warren has a hankerin' for ass, he should get it legally ... first one's on them.

We broke the story ... Sapp was arrested in Phoenix Monday morning after allegedly getting into an altercation with two escorts over money ... and then assaulting them. For the record, Sapp denies the assault.

But a rep for Sheri's Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada tells us ... cash won't be an issue if the NFL Hall of Famer wants to stop by -- because they're going to comp him one free sack session.

Bennett was showing his skills at the Gridiron Celebrity Hoops charity game in Phoenix this past weekend ... absolutely bruising other stars like Romeo Miller and fellow NFL'er Dez Bryant.

But when we asked Bennett -- who was an All State hoops player in high school -- if things would be different against the best in the world he seemed oddly ... confident.
