Kevin Nash Charges Dropped ... In Bloody Fight w/ Son

Published | Updated

Wrestling legend Kevin Nash is officially off the hook in the Christmas Eve brawl with his son -- after cops determined "Big Sexy" wasn't the one who started the fight.

We broke the story ... both 55-year-old Kevin and his 18-year-old son Tristen were arrested at the family home in Florida after an allegedly drunken Tristen got physical with Kev.

According to the police report, Kevin took Tristen down to the ground hard after Tristen spit in his face. Tristen claimed Kev used his signature choke-slam move and caused him to black out.

But now officials tells TMZ Sports the State Attorney's office investigated the incident and determined "Mr. Kevin Nash was not the primary aggressor in this situation and that criminal charges should not be filed against him."

As for Tristen ... officials say he's not in the clear -- they're still investigating his role in the fight.

We spoke with Kevin's attorney Michael Politis who tells us, "Kevin is very relieved this got done quickly because of his career with the WWE and his potential induction into the Hall of Fame."

"He didn't want to be placed in the same category as -- for example -- the NFL player who punched his wife in the elevator."

Janay Rice 'I Have the Best Husband In the World'

Published | Updated

Ray Rice went ALL OUT to spoil his wife on her birthday Wednesday -- and Janay Rice was so impressed, she bragged about having the "best husband in the world."

Sources tell TMZ Sports ... the former Baltimore Ravens star organized a day-long celebration for Janay ... with a dinner party, private celebrity chef, fancy cake and a special appearance by a former teammate.

The chef is former "Hell's Kitchen" competitor JR Robinson -- who cooked up lobster, lamb chops, mussels and some special dessert for Janay's family and friends.

Among the friends ... Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith -- whose family has remained extremely tight with the Rice's over the past year.

After the party was over, Janay put a message on social media thanking Ray -- "I literally have the best husband in the world. He went above and beyond to make my birthday special."

As for how Ray paid for everything, he reportedly just settled a grievance with the Ravens in which he wanted more than $3.5 million for cutting him over the elevator video.

No word on how much cash Rice ultimately received in the settlement -- but we're guessing it covered the party.

Byron Scott Divorce Wife Demands Baller Lifestyle I Can't Live Without My Gucci!

Published | Updated

She lived the Gucci lifestyle before the divorce ... and now Byron Scott's wife is demanding the Gucci lifestyle AFTER the split too -- telling a judge the Lakers coach needs to pay up so she can continue to live like a BOSS!

We broke the story ... Byron filed for divorce from his college sweetheart Anita Scott last year after 29 years of marriage -- right before he signed a $17 million contract with the Lakers.

But Anita says they were living large way before the Lakers gig -- and in new court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, she spells out why Scott needs to open up his checkbook.

Here's a sample of the life Anita says she was accustomed to during her marriage to Byron:

BALLER MANSIONS
-- Anita says the couple lived in several insane cribs over the years (8 bedroom pad in NJ, 7 bedroom house in New Orleans, swanky 4 bedroom penthouse in Cleveland).

BALLER SHOPPING SPREES
-- Anita says she "regularly" bought clothes from Chanel, Gucci, Prada and Louis Vuitton ... with no specific dollar limit.

BALLER HAIR
-- Anita says she dropped at least $600 every six weeks for hair upkeep ... and $500-per-month on manis, pedis and massages. Plus another $400-per-month on facials and "other personal maintenance."

BALLER VACATIONS
-- The Bahamas. Once a year. First class airfare. Suites at top-rated resorts. Oh, and they'd often pay for additional family members to join along.

Anita says she needs spousal support asap, since she doesn't have a job and is living in a cramped 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom condo in Culver City which is "not comparable to the lavish and spacious homes we purchased during the marriage."

Dwyane Wade Quadruple Rabbi Blessing ... Before Beating Lakers

Published | Updated

Look closely at the photo above ... one of these guys is a professional NBA player.

The other 4 dudes are rabbis ... who have a stellar reputation for blessing athletes before big games.

Which could be why Dwyane Wade made a kosher pit stop before the Miami Heat took on the Lakers in L.A. on Tuesday.

TMZ Sports has learned ... the Heat used the facilities at the JEM Community Center in Beverly Hills to warm up hours before their game. And before they left, Wade met up with Rabbi Hertzel Illulian ... who offered up a "quadruple rabbi blessing" before the game.

Turns out ... the Jews came through -- with the Heat beating the Lakers 78-75.

The win brings the rabbis to 2-0 when it comes to blessing NBA players -- after bestowing a "triple rabbi blessing" on Kevin Durant last year before he went on to beat the Clippers in the playoffs.

Mara -- who, along with Steelers owner Art Rooney, oversaw Robert Mueller's investigation into the NFL's handling of the Rice situation -- called into WFAN in NYC and voiced his support for the NFL commish while acknowledging Goodell has a serious PR problem.

"No question he's been damaged by recent events," Mara said ... "He's a pretty strong person and he can get by this and I think he can repair his reputation."

Mara says he still believes Goodell is the right man for the job -- and says his body of work as NFL Commish is "exceptional."

Maurice Clarett to Ohio State FB Star: Stay In School!!!

Published | Updated

Maurice Clarett doesn't want another superstar Ohio State running back making the same mistakes that he did -- which is why he's begging Ezekiel Elliott to STAY IN SCHOOL.

Of course, Clarett knows what he's talking about -- he's the guy who famously left OSU after 1 season back in 2002 and challenged the NFL's draft policy which requires players to be at least 3 years removed from high school.

Clarett never returned to form -- even when he did finally get on an NFL team ... and now he's trying to pass on the lessons from his experience to the current OSU star running back.

After reading a report urging Ezekiel to skip his junior season and wait for the NFL, Clarett chimed in ... saying, "Ignore all of this Zeke.... I'm speaking from experience."

"You can't beat the machine (NFL). Go to class and focus on getting better as a ball player."

"Rather anyone likes it or not the system isn't going to change. Too much money and too many lobbyist are involved. Deal with it and stay focused my man..!!!"

Miss Universe Girls Awkward Golfing ... In High Heels

Published | Updated

They have many talents ... golf is not one of them.

The top contestants in the Miss Universe pageant spent a day on the links with Donald Trump at his new course at the Trump National Doral in Florida ... and futilely attempted to smack around a few balls in high heels.

There were swings. There were misses. There was a strong gust of wind that almost created a Marilyn Monroe moment. All in all ... pretty solid video captured by the Miami Herald.

There was also a pretty epic high 5 fail ... when the Golf Channel's Charlie Rymer tried to give some dap to Miss Israel.

George Lopez Rips Nets Owner 'Can't Believe He's Bailing Already'

Published | Updated

George Lopez ain't a fan of Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov -- saying he's not just shocked the guy is "bailing" on the team ... but couldn't believe he would do something as "low" as trading the coach.

Lopez was out in D.C. when he heard the news that Prokhorov is looking to sell the team -- less than 5 years after buying the majority share of the Nets for $223 million.

"That guy's bailing on them already?" Lopez asked ... "it's shocking to me."

Lopez also ripped Prokhorov for trading away head coach Jason Kidd to the Bucks last year -- "Trading a player, that's what they normally do. But trading a coach? That's low."

Check out the clip -- Lopez says he's also planning to round up some of his huge celebrity friends like Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria to buy the franchise.

He's probably (obviously) joking ... but god we hope he's not.

Yes, a "Bachelor Bracket" is a thing ... just like the Final Four where you pick the names of the women who you think will get a rose from Chris Soules and advance every week.

Hopefully, Prince didn't have Alissa, Jordan, Kimberly, Tandra or Tara going the distance.

Not that we would know or anything ...

Keyshawn Johnson Sued Over Imaginary Bowling Alley

Published | Updated

Keyshawn Johnson is being sued over an AWESOME in-home bowling alley ... problem is, it was never built ... and Key is calling BS on the whole situation.

Here's the long story short ... Key used to own a patch of expensive land in Calabasas right near the mansion he sold to Kourtney Kardashian.

Key planned to build a massive new home on the dirt patch -- complete with a cool in-home bowling alley, wine room and more -- and hired a design firm to draw up the plans.

But here's the rub, the house never got built and Key eventually moved out of town ... but according to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Johnson never paid the design company what it claims it was owed for drawing up the blueprints.

Now, a collection agency is on Key's ass -- looking to recover more than $40k in back payments for the mansion that never was.

But Johnson says it's all a baseless money grab -- claiming the blueprints were drawn up by his architect, not the designer ... and he doesn't believe he owes the designer a single cent.

"Be careful who you deal with. Everybody's looking for a buck. You can't get paid for work you didn't do."

BTW -- Key eventually sold the plot of land ... and to this day, it remains an undeveloped pile of dirt ... with no bowling alley.
