Diddy is no dummy ... so when he told us last night that he thinks it's a "great idea" for Rick Ross to buy a piece of the Miami Dolphins, The Boss should probably do it.

Earlier this week, Rick revealed that he sat down with Dolphins big wigs and talked about owning a piece of the NFL team

"It was a real positive conversation," Ross said.

So when we asked Diddy how he felt about it, the hip hop mogul not only gave his blessing ... but asked how he could help make it happen.

BTW -- Diddy doesn't own a team himself, but has stated in the past that he wants to own a MAJORITY stake in an NFL franchise in the future.

He's reportedly worth $580 million ... so it ain't exactly out of the picture.

Iggy Azalea is getting divorced ... TMZ has learned. Thing is, we didn't know she was married and neither did she.

We've obtained divorce docs -- filed in Texas by Hefe Wine (aka Maurice Williams) -- seeking to end what appears to be a common-law marriage.

Wine says he and Iggy "agreed to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September, 2008." He says they began living separately last year.

In Texas ... a man and a woman who live together for any length of time are considered legally married if they agree to be married and hold themselves out to others as husband and wife.

Iggy's rep tells TMZ ... she NEVER held herself out as Hefe's wife and never agreed to be married.

Hefe is asking the judge to prohibit Iggy from selling various assets they accumulated during the marriage. Iggy and Hefe have been at each other's throats over the rights to music she wrote while they were together -- music worth millions and millions of bucks.

If the judge recognizes the marriage, all of her music during the union becomes community property -- 50/50.

Iggy's rep says this is all a desperate attempt at a money grab.

As for Iggy ... she's now in a year-long relationship with Lakers star Nick Young ... and even nursed him after thumb surgery this week. Now THAT'S love.

TMZ Sports has learned ... someone is trying to shop video and pictures which they claim shows University of Georgia running back Todd Gurley illegally signing memorabilia ... and it could have been what triggered the NCAA to suspend the college football star.

Here's what we know ... the footage purportedly shows Gurley seated inside a car -- signing various helmets, pictures and jerseys.

Sources tell us ... there are photos from two separate autograph sessions and both happened fairly recently.

The people connected to the video are saying Gurley was paid to sign the memorabilia ... in violation of NCAA rules. The people connected to the video tell us Gurley was paid just shy of $2,000 for the two sessions.

We're also told the NCAA -- and UGA officials -- contacted the people shopping the footage ... though it's unclear if the video people cooperated with investigators.

Gurley was suspended indefinitely by UGA on Thursday. UGA would not reveal why he has been suspended.

Ex-NFL star Christian Okoye has ordered his foundation to start directing funds to fight the Ebola outbreak in Africa ... telling TMZ Sports the issue hits close to home because he still has family there.

"I still have immediate and extended family in Nigeria," Okoye says ... "We've been looking into ways my foundation can help."

Okoye's foundation was created to help at-risk youth -- but Christian says the organization will launch a new fundraising campaign specifically to help fight the outbreak in Africa.

Christian says his new initiative will NOT take away funding from the primary objective.

So where will Okoye direct the new funds?

"Ultimately we need to build hospitals to treat people," Okoye says ... "If they don't have the facilities, the disease will spread. This could get out of hand."

NFL star Adrian Peterson admitted he "smoked a little weed" and could fail a court-ordered drug test ... this according to court docs ... and now prosecutors are gunning to throw the NFL star in jail.

Peterson had to submit to a court-ordered drug test as a condition of his bond in his child abuse case in Texas ... and according to the docs, he submitted to a urine test on Wednesday.

According to the docs, during the testing process, Peterson admitted to an employee of the company that conducted the testing that he recently "smoked a little weed."

Now, prosecutors say that is a direct violation of the terms of his bond -- and have asked the court to order he be arrested.

When you pay $6,500 for world class boobs, it's almost offensive if people DON'T look ... at least according to one WWE superstar.

Sorry wrestling fans, but you ain't gonna smell what The Rock is cookin' at Wrestlemania next year ... 'cause the dude says he can't risk messing up his million dollar face!!

Rock was out in NYC yesterday -- nicest guy ever btw -- when we asked about a possible cameo at Wrestlemania XXXI.

His response -- hilarious ... but it's a little puzzling since he was just on "Monday Night Raw" this week and even got physical with another wrestler.

Worth noting -- the other wrestler never touched The Rock ... it was just The Rock throwing a few punches at the other guy.

Boxer Jermain Taylor didn't just admit that he shot his cousin back in August -- you can hear him on the 911 call warning cops to get to the scene "before I kill him"

TMZ Sports has obtained the 911 call made by the boxing champ's wife back in August -- when she told authorities that her husband had shot an "intruder" who was on their property in Arkansas.

"We had some intruders on our property," Taylor's wife told the operator.

Moments later you can hear Jermain say, "I shot one of them – better come get him before I kill him."

Cops eventually got to the scene -- and ARRESTED Taylor for 1st degree battery and aggravated assault.

Cops believe Taylor shot his cousin following an argument.

We're told Taylor's case is still pending -- but no charges have been filed yet and no court date has been set.

NFL player accused of attacking someone? Suspended.

NBA player accused of assault? Suspended.

Boxer accused of SHOOTING SOMEONE?? Well, you can fight for the title!!!

At least, that's what happened last night when Jermain Taylor -- who won the IBF Middleweight title in Mississippi ... just 2 months after he was arrested for allegedly shooting his cousin.

As we first reported, cops say Taylor FESSED UP to shooting his cousin during a domestic dispute in Arkansas back in August.

But despite the fact he was arrested for 1st degree battery and aggravated assault -- the powers that be in the boxing world ALLOWED Taylor to get in the ring and fight for the title.

It's FULL BLOWN WAR in the Adrian Peterson child abuse case -- with the prosecutor CALLING OUT THE JUDGE ... as an incompetent, trash-talking jerk who can't be trusted with the AP case.

TMZ Sports has obtained new court docs filed by the District Attorney of Montgomery County, TX ... who claims Judge Kelly Case didn't just call him a "media whore" behind his back -- he's been openly trashing the D.A.'s office for months.

As we previously reported, the D.A. demanded Judge Case apologize for the "media whore" comments during Wednesday's hearing -- and got it -- but now, the D.A. says the hostility runs much deeper than nasty comments.

According to the docs, the D.A. says Judge Case has unfairly blamed prosecutors for the media's unfavorable coverage of his mistakes on the bench ... and has showed a personal bias against the District Attorney.

Plus, the D.A. says Judge Case has had more of his decisions overturned on appeal than any other judge in the county ... proving he's constantly making bad rulings.

For his part, Judge Case laughed off the suggestion that he should recuse himself from the case at Wednesday's hearing -- but the D.A. is dead serious.

Donald Trump tells TMZ Sports ... he's not upset that he wasn't able to strike a deal to buy the Buffalo Bills -- because it would have been a bad investment anyway.

Trump was one of the big names in the hunt for the NFL team -- which ultimately sold to business mogul Terry Pegula for $1.4 BILLION.

But when we asked Trump about the situation Wednesday night, he didn't seem bothered by it at all ... telling us he didn't think it was a great financial move anyway.

It's like a modern day Ethel Merman and Ray Middleton ... 'cause anything Shaq can do, Grant Hill thinks he can do better -- including movies!

The former NBA star -- who now appears in an AT&T commercial -- was out at Mr. Chow Wednesday night when we asked if he would ever consider taking his talents from TV to the big screen.

"If Shaq can do it, I can do it," Hill told us.

Of course, Grant's gonna need to move quick if he wants to catch up with The Big Fella ... 'cause Shaq's appeared in 16 flicks in his movie career!!!

Bravo's Andy Cohen is a HUUUUGE St. Louis Cardinals fan ... he even named his dog after a player ... and he's got some great advice for the team before their next playoff game -- GET LAID!!!

Andy was out in NYC Wednesday when we asked how he felt about pre-game sex ... since so many World Cup teams BANNED their players from banging during the tourney.

But Andy is all about it ... telling us, "They should burn it out, let the poison out!"

Ex-NFL star Larry Johnson has been sued by the man he allegedly ATTACKED WITH A BROKEN BOTTLE at a Miami hotel ... claiming LJ is a violent thug who scarred him for life.

TMZ Sports obtained the lawsuit filed by Drew Johnson -- a club promoter who says he was "minding his own business" in the VIP section of the club inside the Delano hotel on Oct. 7th when he was attacked by a "heavily intoxicated" LJ.

Drew claims LJ "broke a bottle and then began using the bottle as a weapon, cutting [Drew] with the intent on causing serious bodily injury."

As we previously reported, Drew required several stitches to close the gash on his arm he claims he sustained during the fight.

In the suit, Drew points out he's only 5'8", 150lbs ... and LJ is 6'2", 230 lbs ... and explains he couldn't have provoked the fight because "no one in their right mind would pick a fight or get into an altercation with [Johnson]."

Drew says he's suffered physical pain, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, physical scarring and disfigurement and medical expenses ... and he's demanding more than $15k.

As for LJ, he was arrested for aggravated battery -- and was released on $7,500 bail.

We reached out to Larry for comment -- so far no word back.

A former heavyweight boxing champ who's OBSESSED with fighting Wladimir Klitschko has taken his pursuit to the sea ... chartering a boat to HARASS Klitschko this morning while he was out paddleboarding in Miami.

The video is maniacal -- showing Shannon Briggs hammering Klitschko with taunt after taunt ... while buzzing right by the guy ... eventually knocking him off his paddle board.

At one point during the incident, you can see and hear Klitschko tell Briggs, "You crossed the line."

Briggs has been all over Klitschko recently in an effort to coerce him into stepping back in the ring so they can fight.

Briggs recently found WK while he was eating lunch at an Italian restaurant and ignited a physical confrontation in which Briggs cut his foot on broken glass and ended up in the hospital.

The Raiders NEED Los Angeles ... and Los Angeles NEEDS the Raiders -- so says Hollywood legend Louis Gossett Jr. who tells TMZ Sports it's time to bring the Silver & Black back to where they belong.

Louis -- who recently appeared on "Celebrity Ghost Stories" -- says L.A. is still haunted by the ghosts of it's NFL past ... even since the Raiders left L.A. for Oakland back in '95.
