Derek Jeter ain't getting married at Oheka Castle in NY today ... despite serious buzz.

We know various high end vendors had been contacted to work a "Derek Jeter event" at the historic location this weekend ... but it turns out, it's just not true.

There IS a wedding going down at the Castle tonight -- but the groom is not a future Hall of Famer ... he's the owner of a Crunch gym franchise in Florida ... which is still pretty baller ... but it's not Jeter.

Cowboys QB Tony Romo still has the full support of "his people" in Texas ... so says one of the stars of "Dallas" Josh Henderson ... who says he's got a "good feeling" about this season.

Henderson -- who also starred as Nicollette Sheridan's nephew on "Desperate Housewives" -- was out in Hollywood this weekend ... and explained why he's standing by Romo ... even though the guy started off pretty bad.

War Machine thinks his ex-gf Christy Mack got off easy when he beat the hell out of her -- because he could have flat out killed her and gotten away with it if the attack went down in Texas.

War Machine actually believes he shouldn't have been charged at all ... according to a jailhouse letter he recently wrote to a friend. TMZ obtained a copy, and in it he claims Christy is throwing him under the bus to protect her "image."

The ex-MMA fighter says Christy's friend Corey Thomas ambushed him when he entered her home back in August -- and adds ... "Even if I wasn't ambushed they still would have got what they deserved! In Texas you could have shot them both and got off with that 'passion crime' s**t."

He's no lawyer -- fact is you can commit a crime of passion in any state, and it's not a free-pass to go killing people.

War Machine's facing 32 counts ... including attempted murder, battery, kidnapping, and sexual assault.

In the letter, he says he plans to sell "#FREEWAR" gear to pay his legal bills.

Katy Perry unleashed her inner Demi Moore on ESPN this morning -- obsessing over a college football star who's 10 YEARS YOUNGER ... and telling the guy to "Call me!"

30-year-old Perry appeared on ESPN's "College Gameday" this morning as the celebrity guest picker -- but before she weighed in on the big game, she picked Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight as the guy she's currently CRUSHING ON.

Perry held up heart-shaped sign featuring Knight's pic -- and urged the QB to hit her up, ASAP.

Ex-Titans kicker Rob Bironas was hammered -- with a blood alcohol content njearly 3 times the legal limit -- the night he wrecked his SUV and died in Nashville.

The toxicology report shows Bironas' BAC was .218 when he died on September 20. Police released test results to his family today. The report also revealed he died from blunt force trauma ... and had a small amount of Diazepam (Valium) in his system.

Rob's wife, Rachel -- who is Terry Bradshaw's daughter -- told police Rob might have had one beer at home that night ... before he unexpectedly took off in his vehicle without telling her.

The 16,768 sq ft pad is just plain sick ... 6 bedrooms, an infinity pool, wine cellar and dockage space that can accommodate two 60 foot yachts.

Hulk Hogan is vowing to drop the legal hammer on a "nephew" who's pushing a reality show about finding the perfect 3-some ... telling TMZ Sports he's a DISGRACE to the Hogan name.

The man behind the reality show is David Bollea -- who calls himself King David Hogan ... a pro-MMA fighter who last stepped in the ring back in 2012 and claims to be Hogan's "nephew."

King David is trying to shop a reality show called, "My Girlfriend Wants a Girlfriend" ... in which he sorts through 16 different ladies to find the perfect addition to their freaky sexual lifestyle.

But Hulk is PISSED -- telling TMZ Sports he barely knows the guy and can't believe he would try to cash in on the Hogan name without permission.

"I've only met him twice in my entire life ... he knows nothing about the Hogan family, the Hogan name and has no right to use it," Hulk says.

And now for the threat ... "I will pursue legal action against him for diminishing the Hogan brand."

Here it is ... Antoine Dodson throwing a PUNCH at another man ... and it's hilarious.

A-Dod -- who became world famous for fighting off a bedroom intruder back in 2010 -- will be a pugilist in a "celebrity" boxing event in November ... taking on a man he claims is the actual 2010 perp.

During a media event for the fight this week, the "Intruder" confronted Dodson -- who became "upset" and tried to slug his foe with a right ... uh ... jab?

Again, it's hilarious.

A mini-melee breaks out ... with Antoine flailing around and screaming at the other man -- "It is what it is, n**ga!!!"

With so many NFL stars gunning for 2nd careers in Hollywood, there's only one guy Eddie George is throwing his support behind ... Eddie George!!!!

The former Heisman Trophy winner -- turned actor -- dropped by to play the role of Hollywood casting director for a couple of huge athletes looking to go from the field to the big screen.

Mayor James: "I'll be reaching out to the Mayor of Los Angeles and making a bet with him."

TMZ Sports: Who will you bet on Mr. Mayor?
Mayor James: "I'm always gonna bet on Kansas City ... and I'm gonna encourage him to do the same if he actually wants to win the bet."

TMZ Sports: What will you bet?
Mayor James: "We'll bet some BBQ versus whatever he wants to put up."

TMZ Sports: Any final thoughts?
Mayor James: "If he wants to be on the winning side of the bet, he ought to bet on the Royals. Save himself some trouble and heartache."

Jewish NY Knicks star Amar'e Stoudemire says he'll be fasting for Yom Kippur when the sun goes down tonight ... and won't eat all day tomorrow ... despite the fact he's in the middle of NBA training camp.

Stoudemire just went to Instagram and posted ... "Day of Atonement !! Sundown tonight - Sundown tomorrow."

He added, "This is going to be the hardest one yet. No eating or drinking during camp."

It's kind of a big deal, considering the Knicks have been busting their asses during the training sessions ... and Stoudemire has vowed to refrain from nourishing himself after the brutal workouts.

FYI -- Amar'e's decision comes almost 49 years ... to the day ... from when Sandy Koufax famously decided to NOT pitch in a World Series game to observe the Jewish Holiday.

Los Angeles should brace itself ... 'cause if the Dodgers win the World Series, "this town might burn down" ... so says Dodgers superstar Andre Ethier.

The outfielder was out at Madeo last night -- takin' a bunch of people out for a pre-playoff game dinner -- when we asked how he was going to celebrate if when the Dodgers win the Series.

"This town might burn down, eh? But we'll address that when that happens," Ethier joked.

Sure, he was kidding ... but let's get serious -- it's a legit concern ... especially after the Lakers NBA Championship riots of 2000 ... and 2009 ... and 2010.

But it won't happen a 4th time ... will it?

SF 49ers superstar Vernon Davis has SURVIVED ELIMINATION ... 'cause his superhero short film made it from the Final 20 to the Final 10 in HBO's "Project Greenlight" competition.

As we previously reported, Davis plays the title character in the comedy/action flick "Captain Torpedo" ... and if it WINS "Project Greenlight," the movie's director will get to helm a full-length Hollywood feature film.

The good news for Davis (an aspiring actor) -- the director LOVES him ... and if he wins, he's vowed to include Davis in the cast.

The competition started with hundreds of films ... it was narrowed to 200 ... then to 20 ... now it's at the final 10. And the winner will be announced in November.

Derek Jeter will be front and center at a MASSIVE secret party at a historic castle on Long Island this weekend, TMZ Sports has learned ... and now we're hearing buzz it could be a wedding.

Here's what we know ... the party is set to go down at the famous Oheka Castle -- which was used for the exterior shots of Charles Kane's mansion in the 1941 Hollywood flick "Citizen Kane."

Multiple sources tell us ... several high-end party vendors have been called in for a very important "Derek Jeter event."

Now here's where things get tricky -- we've spoken with multiple sources who tell us the event in question is a retirement party for #2 ... and other sources who SWEAR it's a wedding.

Of course, 40-year-old Derek has been dating 24-year-old supermodel Hannah Davis for the past couple of years ... but if they got engaged, they've done a helluva job keeping it a secret.

We reached out to Derek's people for comment -- so far, no word back.

Matthew McConaughey is the one man who can change Texas' early season woes ... so says ESPN host Chris Fowler who tells TMZ Sports Matt's Knute Rockne antics could save the Longhorns.

Chris was in Nashville when our camera guy asked what he thought about the Oscar winning actor digging into his "Wolf of Wall Street" bag of tricks to hype up the UT football team at a recent practice.

Peep the clip -- Fowler, who's seen it all on the college football gridiron doesn't hold back in telling us his opinion of McConaughey's motivational adventure.

Colin Kaepernick is coming out swingin' against allegations he knocked up self-proclaimed fitness model Brittany Renner ... and he's using a rap song to shoot down the claims.

The pregnancy talk started when Brittany went to her Instagram page and wrote that she was "preggers" by the SF 49ers quarterback.

Brittany and Colin reportedly hooked up back in July -- and she even posted pics to her Instagram appearing to show Colin hanging out at her place.

So when she posted the "preggers" thing -- people thought there could be some truth to it.

But clearly, Colin ain't buyin' it ... 'cause moments ago, he went to Instagram and posted the album cover for a rap song called "STOP LYIN'" ... and included the caption, "We just goin call this my anthem now! Keep trying."

He made no specific mention of Brittany -- but, c'mon ... doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what he's talking about.
