The Darren Sharper alleged rape scandal is getting the TV treatment -- with a little Ray Rice mixed in -- because "Law & Order: SVU" is ripping both headlines for a sports scandal themed episode.

The episode -- which airs tonight -- features a major sports star accused of drugging and raping multiple women ... a la the accusations levied against former NFL star Darren Sharper.

Clearly, they are changing the names of the characters ... but it's clear, producers are using the Sharper case as the basis for the ep.

But here's where it gets bizarre ... producers are heavily promoting a controversial "elevator scandal" involving the sports hero ... which seems like a obvious take from the Ray Rice situation.

Only in the preview clip for the episode, a woman is attacking the sports star ... the reverse of what happened in real life with Ray.

Screw Ebola, Cuba Gooding Jr. has clearly been infected with another troubling ailment ... BIEBER-ITUS ... 'cause the Oscar winner can't seem to keep his shirt on these days.

Cuba was leaving Cafe Habana in Malibu Tuesday when we asked about his recent topless hockey celebration -- when he ripped off his top moments after scoring a mid-ice shot during an NHL shooting challenge.

The 31-year-old, who hails from North Carolina, is an avid hunter and outdoorswoman -- and judging from her Instagram page, she seems pretty damn handy with a bow and arrow.

The scene was crazy ... huge bottle of champagne, scantily clad women, fancy cake -- and Berto tells TMZ Sports the whole thing was "epic!"

Michael Phelps had just finished up an 8-hour gambling session at a Baltimore casino before he was popped for DUI early Tuesday morning ... TMZ Sports has learned.

According to our casino sources, Phelps hit up the Horseshoe Casino around 5pm Monday afternoon ... and sat in a private VIP gambling room for hours ... finally leaving around 1am.

We're told Phelps was playing blackjack ... though it's unclear if he also played other card games that night. There have been several reports that he's big into poker.

Clearly, Phelps had been drinking inside the casino ... we're told his booze of choice was beer ... and when he was pulled over around 1:40am, it was just a few miles from the casino.

We're told Phelps is a regular at the casino ... in fact, he was just there last month playing poker.

We reached out to Phelps for comment -- so far, no dice.

Pistons big man Andre Drummond believes in two things -- basketball and turning up -- and he's got hilarious video evidence to prove the two loves of his life can live in perfect harmony.

Andre just posted a video to Instagram showing him sinking a RIDICULOUS half court shot at the Pistons' facility then celebrating by two stepping to one of hottest club bangers in the country.

Michael Phelps just issued a statement on his DUI arrest in Baltimore this morning ... saying he takes "full responsibility" and is sorry he let everyone down.

Here's the statement Phelps just issued on Twitter:

"Earlier this morning, I was arrested and charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines."

"I understand the severity of my actions and take full responsibility."

"I know these words may not mean much right now but I am deeply sorry to everyone I have let down."

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Phelps was pulled over around 1:40 AM for going 84 in a 45 ... and during the stop, the officer noticed the Olympic legend was hammered.

He was charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lanes.

Finally, a GOOD story out of Baltimore ... where a Ravens superfan got the thrill of a lifetime on her wedding day ... all thanks to Torrey Smith.

The Ravens wide receiver was chillin' at the Hyatt Regency in Baltimore Saturday when a couple -- ABOUT TO GET MARRIED -- noticed him going up the escalator.

We spoke to the bride, Courtney, who tells us she's a DIE-HARD Ravens fans who immediately noticed Smith "the second I saw those big pearly whites" ... and flagged him down.

Courtney says Smith couldn't have been nicer -- and he and his wife came back down the escalator to take pics with the about-to-be-married couple.

"They were a super awesome couple, took the time to talk to us, and wish us both well," Courtney says.

But that's not all ... 'cause after the photo sesh, Torrey and his wife went back to their room -- which happened to overlook the ceremony -- and took pics which they tweeted and Instagramed to the newlyweds.

"They put the cherry on top to an already perfect day."

Michael Phelps was arrested for driving under the influence in Baltimore, Maryland early this morning ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Our sources tell us ... the USA Olympic legend was pulled over around 1:40 AM in his white Land Rover. We're told he bombed his field sobriety test ... and his B.A.C. was almost twice the legal limit.

Officials just issued a statement saying Phelps was initially pulled over for going 84 in a 45 ... and during the stop, the officer noticed he was hammered.

Our sources say Phelps was hauled to a nearby station where he was booked for DUI -- and was eventually released.

Cops say Phelps was charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines.

It's Michael's 2nd DUI arrest -- he was popped in Maryland in 2004 when he was 19 years old. He struck a plea deal with prosecutors and pled guilty in exchange for 18 months probation.

We've made multiple calls to Michael's reps -- but they would not take our calls.

1:00 PM PT -- Michael is now apologizing for the arrest.

Ryan Lochte says he doesn't understand why Michael Phelps didn't just hire a driver to take him home early Tuesday morning ... telling TMZ Sports his decision to get behind the wheel after allegedly drinking was just plain dumb.

We reached out to Phelps' Team USA swimming teammate and asked if he was concerned for the Olympic legend ... to which Lochte replied, "I'm not concerned ... he just makes dumb decisions."

Lochte continued, "He has so much money to get a driver. I even have a driver. Just stinks for the sport of swimming."

"But he will become smarter from this. Luckily he did not hurt himself or someone else."

The largest Muslim organization in North America says it's offering "sensitivity training" to the NFL after a Muslim player was penalized for striking a Muslim prayer pose during Monday Night Football.

TMZ Sports spoke with a rep for Islamic Society of North America who tells us they were shocked when Kansas City Chiefs player Husain Abdullah was flagged after dropping to his knees following a pick 6 in the 4th quarter.

The NFL has since issued a statement admitting the ref botched the call -- and ISNA says it "appreciates the NFL in backtracking and making the right call."

ISNA says it originally believed the penalty was a "double standard" -- especially with Tim Tebow's famous kneeling celebration in the past going unflagged.

"Husain is a big hero in the Muslim American community ... we thought it was unfortunate."

But ISNA says they want to work WITH the NFL to make sure it doesn't happen again -- saying, "We are happy to educate the NFL with competency or sensitivity training."

Supermodel Tyson Beckford says he's done with the NFL ... at least for now ... saying he doesn't feel good about supporting the league after all of the recent scandals.

The face of Ralph Lauren arrived at LAX Monday when he explained why he's kicked his Sunday habit.

"I don't even watch football no more," Tyson said ... "Seriously, I stopped watching ... it really turned me off."
