Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti says Ray Rice and Ray's team are the main sources behind the ESPN article that claimed Bisciotti spearheaded a cover-up.

While addressing the media, Bisciotti says he strongly believes the sources for the ESPN "Outside the Lines" article were Ray's attorney, Ray's agent and Ray's friends -- who gave the info to ESPN in an effort to get Ray reinstated into the NFL.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is adamant ... he did NOT push to cut Ray Rice from the team after seeing the first "outside the elevator" video ... despite an ESPN report to the contrary.

The Ravens -- and Harbaugh -- have just issued a statement in response to the ESPN "Outside the Lines" article which said Harbaugh was "horrified" after seeing the 1st tape back in February and wanted Rice gone.

But now, Harbaugh says it just ain't true ... "I did not recommend cutting Ray Rice from the team after seeing the first videotape. I was very disturbed by that tape, and I told people that the facts should determine the consequences."

Dwyane Wade is hoping to murder the shoe game ... by putting out a new pair of sneakers covered in fake blood splatter -- and he's calling 'em "The Dexters."

Wade has a shoe deal with a Chinese apparel company called Li Ning -- and it's latest release is clearly inspired by the gory "Showtime" series which followed a lovable serial killer played by Michael C. Hall.

D-Wade is clearly hoping his Dexters generate the same kinda buzz other shoes inspired by Hollywood have enjoyed -- like the McFlys or the Freddys ... clearly inspired by "Nightmare on Elm Street."

No word on when Wade's shoes are expected to drop.

Ex-NBA star Rex Chapman is accused of stealing $14,278 worth of unused products from an Apple store in AZ -- including fancy headphones -- but can you guess how much $$$ he got when he allegedly sold the goods to a pawn shop?

According to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Chapman only raked in $5,460 for the stuff ... roughly ONE-THIRD of the retail value.

Clearly, Chapman's negotiating skills need work (allegedly).

Bonus footage -- Chapman appeared before a judge this weekend (via satellite) and was arraigned on nine counts of organized retail theft and five counts of trafficking stolen property, all felony charges.

The very first contract Babe Ruth negotiated with the NY Yankees is about to hit the auction block -- which specifically outlines the MLB legend was BANNED FROM BOOZE and had a 1 AM bedtime.

TMZ Sports has learned ... the contract -- hand-signed by George Herman Ruth on March 10, 1922 -- is being auctioned off by Goldin Auctions ... and the sellers tell us they're expecting to fetch over $1 mil.

The terms of the 3-year deal are pretty interesting ... Babe agreed to league-high $52k-per-season ... but there were a couple of catches.

For instance, Babe had to fork over a $30 deposit for his uniform and was not allowed to play any other sport while under contract.

But the big one ... a clause that was added which spelled out that Babe was to "refrain entirely from the use of intoxicating liquors and that he shall not during the training and playing season in each year stay up later than 1 o'clock A.M. on any day without the permission and consent of the club's manager."

At the time Babe signed the deal, he had already been with the Yanks for 3 years ... but was playing under the contract he signed with his previous team, the Boston Red Sox.

LeBron and CP3 spent their Sunday training at the gym at UCLA with Bron's Cleveland Cavs teammate Tristan Thompson ... and even posted a pic to Instagram.

But when the sun went down, Bron and Paul freshened up -- and hit up Greystone Manor in West Hollywood.

The two arrived around midnight and spent about 2 hours in the place ... finally leaving the when the club shut down.

When you need a calm, soothing voice to get you through a traumatic event, you don't think of Mike Tyson ... but that's exactly what happened to a motorcycle crash victim.

Ryan Chesley tells TMZ ... he was on his way to Las Vegas this week when a cab cut him off on the freeway ... sending him flying off his chopper.

Chesley says Tyson saw the whole thing ... slammed on his brakes and stopped traffic. Chesley says Tyson -- mindful the victim might be in shock -- kept him calm until paramedics arrived.

Chesley -- who has broken bones, muscles, ligaments, nerve damage and needs shoulder surgery -- tells TMZ he's sending Tyson a thank you note and a fruit basket.

Another ferocious assault involving a Baltimore superstar ... the Orioles mascot ... who got HIT IN THE BALLS by a dumbass fan AND FOUGHT BACK ... and TMZ Sports has the footage.

Our MLB sources tell us ... the incident went down at Oriole Park at Camden Yard in April 2013 when a seemingly drunken O's fan approached the mascot for a photo -- and then suckerpunched the bird right in his feathered crotch.

The bird executed a perfect judo-style legsweep ... and took down the attacker.

Our sources tell us ... the nut-puncher was arrested moments after the camera shut off.

Ray Rice will reportedly argue that TMZ Sports edited the "inside the elevator" video ... thereby altering what really happened that night.

He's right. We did edit the video ... and we made that point crystal clear in our original post -- the same post where we also INCLUDED the raw unedited version showing Rice KOing Janay Palmer.

As we initially reported, the original raw video was jerky -- in that it would move forward and then in reverse every couple of frames ... so we removed the reverse frames.

Again, TMZ Sports included the raw video in our original post.

Gabrielle Union says she was the victim of a digital hate crime ... after some topless photos she sent to Dwyane Wade somehow leaked onto the internet -- and now her legal team will be contacting the FBI.

Union and Wade released a joint statement saying, "it has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures."

They add, "I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide."

Topless pics of what appears to be super model Emily Ratajkowski and Jenny McCarthy also leaked online today -- as well as nude photos that appear to be Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell.

Union and Wade add, "For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes - We send our love, support and prayers. We have done nothing wrong."

Former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas -- Terry Bradshaw's son-in-law -- died Saturday night after he lost control of his SUV and crashed into a line of trees.

The Metro Nashville PD says Bironas was traveling fast in his 2009 GMC Yukon Denali when he lost control in a curve shortly after 11 p.m.

Cops say the SUV veered off the road and struck a bunch of trees before it flipped over. Bironas was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Cops also say there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs. They believe Bironas was heading home ... because the accident occurred less than a mile from his house.

Rob married Terry Bradshaw's oldest daughter Rachel back in June ... and even though Bironas was no longer a Titan -- Terry jokingly told our photog before the wedding Rob still had permission to marry her.

Oscar Pistorius should be BANNED from running track FOR LIFE ... so says U.S. Olympic legend Sanya Richards-Ross ... who says it pains her to say it because she used to be tight with Blade Runner.

Sanya -- who won FOUR gold medals from '04 to '12 -- was out in NYC when we asked her about the International Paralympic Committee's pending decision on whether Oscar should be able to compete in the next Paralympics.

Of course the controversy stems from the fact that Oscar was convicted of manslaughter in the death of his GF Reeva Steenkamp ... and the IPC has said it would make a decision about Oscar's future based on his upcoming sentencing.

But Sanya has already made up her mind -- "At the end of the day, there was a woman that ended up dead. I don't think he should have the privilege of competing in the sport anymore."

The Florida State University quarterback was sent back to the locker room before the FSU vs. Clemson game tonight when he took the field in full pads.

Winston was confronted by his coach Jimbo Fisher -- who appeared angry and confused -- and forced Jameis to change back into street clothes.

Of course, Winston was initially suspended for the 1st half of tonight's game after screaming "F**k her in the p**sy" on a table in the middle of the FSU campus ... but after public outcry, school officials later decided to suspend him from the entire game.

Apparently, Winston didn't get the message.

LeBron James hit the L.A. club scene last night -- rollin' into Hooray Henry's in West Hollywood with one of his boys ... and a sick $50k watch on his wrist.

The NBA superstar didn't say much on the way out of the place ... but if you wanna see what a guy who reportedly made $72 million last year rocks out to the nightclub check out the clip.
