LeBron James' cupcake apology keeps getting better -- because now we've learned the NBA star dropped nearly $2k on the treats for his Akron neighbors ... and HALF of the bill is going to charity.

TMZ Sports has learned ... LeBron's people initially called the Baker Boulevard Decadent Cupcakes store a few days ago and ordered 840 cupcakes to send to neighbors to apologize for the media madness that consumed the neighborhood during his big NBA decision.

We spoke to the owner Lakisha Williams who tells us ... the bill totaled $1,890 ... and HALF of the money will be donated to LeBron's "Wheels for Education" charity organization.

In fact, Lakisha tells us ... the cupcakes James ordered (420 cherry cola and 420 chocolate chunk) were created specifically for Bron's foundation -- and a portion of the daily sales of those cupcakes are donated to charity as well.

And get this ... when we asked if LeBron got a discount for the 840 goodies he bought for his neighbors, Lakisha told us he'd NEVER ask for a discount since he knows the money goes to the kids.

Baller.

Matt Leinart isn't taking too kindly to being dissed by Dean Cain -- and now the former NFL quarterback is firing back at the "Superman" actor ... telling the guy to "stick to being D list."

There are sneakerheads ... and then there's rapper Jadakiss ... who tells TMZ Sports his Air Jordan collection is INSANE ... consisting of more than 2,000 SHOES!!!!!

Jadakiss was leaving a Footaction in NYC -- when he told us another shocker ... he knows other celebs with an even BIGGER Jordan collections than his!!

Of course, Jordans have become huge collectors items over the years -- with some pairs valued at more than $3,500!!!

But get this ... while Jadakiss has paid for a large chunk of his collection with his own cash, the rapper has in the past that MJ sends him boxes of shoes for free ... because he's a fan.

As more information begins to surface about Adrian Peterson's secret marriage to Ashley Brown -- one thing's for sure ... she's smokin' hot!!!!

As we previously reported, Adrian and Ashley first got together when Adrian was in college ... and have been dating on and off ever since ... that is, until now.

The two have kept their relationship pretty private ... but we know they have at least one child together.

Another HUGE eating victory for Joey Chestnut ... who DESTROYED all challengers in the Hooters Wing Eating Championship in Vegas last night by crushing 182 wings!!!

With wing sauce stains all over his shirt, Chestnut -- arguably the greatest competitive eater of all time -- took down the wings in just 10 minutes at the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino!!

After the big win, we asked Joey how he feels about the crazy "No Sex Before a Competition" rule that some pro athletes seem to live by.

Johnny Manziel is flashing shades of Matt Leinart -- and it's NOT a good thing -- so says Dean Cain -- who warns the QB that "going Hollywood" can backfire in a big way.

It all went down on a Baltimore Ravens fan cruise to the Bahamas -- where part of the entertainment was an adults-only "game show" ... which included a low-budge drag competition.

You gotta see Rock's initial reaction to the question (which he must hear 100 times/day) -- but he does eventually hit the photog with the perfect answer … for the smartass question.

Our guy shoulda learned from Alex Pettyfer -- who made the same screwup on Muscle Beach last weekend.

Playboy model Nasia Jansen has two huge talents ... MASSIVE talents ... and if she wanted to, she could use 'em to take down even the toughest of men.

Yes, you guessed it -- Nasia is a nunchucks specialist ... and Tae Kwon Do expert.

The Playboy Cybergirl (of German and Tunisian descent) somehow caught our attention in L.A. ... and revealed she's deadly with Michelangelo's weapon of choice.

Her story is actually pretty interesting -- telling us she got into martial arts as a kid to protect herself because she grew up in a bad area. Also, her inspiration is Bruce Lee.

But the best part ... she proves her talent during a bikini weapons exhibition ... where she BUSTS OPEN BOARDS LIKE IT'S HER JOB!!!!

Clippers interim CEO Dick Parsons says he believes team coaches and players MAY QUIT if Donald Sterling isn't removed as owner ASAP ... telling TMZ Sports, "I think there's risk to the team."

Parsons testified in the Sterling hearing today -- saying in court, "We may have defections of coaches and players if Sterling is still with the team. Including the head coach."

After the hearing, Parsons says he hopes the judge will come to a resolution quickly -- and in the meantime, he's instructed Clippers players and coaches to focus on basketball while he focuses on reaching a solution.

Adrian Peterson is a married man ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

Sooooo Kevin Durant had brunch with Justin Bieber over the weekend.

For the record ... Bieber has earned roughly $60 million in the last year alone (according to Forbes).

L.A. Clippers star Matt Barnes says his aunt was brutally murdered last week at the hands of a violent fugitive -- and now he's taken to social media in hopes of finding her killer.

Cops say the man is 51-year-old Michael Williams -- who they believe is the victim's estranged husband. Investigators say the victim was going to see Williams on July 8 when she was stabbed.

Officials believe Williams is a transient with a violent history who may be hiding out in South Sacramento.

Barnes is adamant about bringing Williams to justice -- and posted the suspect's pic to Instagram with a message begging his followers to join the manhunt.

"This dude stabbed my auntie in the neck last week & left her for dead on the sidewalk, she ended up dying on the way to the hospital in the ambulance. If you hv any info on his where abouts contact the #SacPD # SacramentoWeNeedYourHelp #RIPTang"
