The Memphis Grizzlies forward was 'interning' at KMPH FOX 26 in his hometown of Fresno, CA on Wednesday and decided to try his hand at the weather report -- with some pretty damn hilarious results.

Donald Sterling's decided to go quietly after all -- he's reportedly in the process of dropping that $1 BILLION lawsuit against the NBA for forcing him to sell the L.A. Clippers.

Sterling had claimed in the lawsuit -- filed last week -- the NBA booted him based on an illegal recording that painted him as a racist. He was also fighting the $2.5 million fine the league levied against him.

But today his attorney told The Hollywood Reporter ... Sterling is letting it all go, and the suit would be dropped within a couple days.

8:00 PM PT -- No throwin' for Johnny ... officials canceled the 1st pitch due to the rain delay. Sucks.

Johnny Manziel is currently warming up his arm to throw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Indians game tonight ... in an effort to not embarrass himself on the mound, a la 50 Cent.

Manziel was seen throwing pitches in a practice with fellow Cleveland Browns rookie Justin Gilbert (the #8 overall pick).

Manziel's form looked good in the warm-up pics -- but then again, so did Fiddys.

The game is currently on rain delay -- if his arm cools down, it could spell trouble for the Heisman Trophy winner.

Then again, Manziel played baseball growing up ... and throws for a frickin' living.

Carmelo Anthony's 30th birthday party was INSANE this weekend -- with surprise performances ... super expensive champagne ... and a RARE pair of Nikes that's driving the shoe community NUTS.

It all went down at the NoMad Hotel in NYC -- where huge stars like Nas, Swizz Beatz and Busta Rhymes all performed for Anthony and his famous friends.

The guest list was A-list all the way -- Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Ciara, Jessica Stam and Tyson Beckford.

At one point, Chris Paul called in ... he was put on speaker phone and reportedly said, "We have a new owner. Sign with the Clippers!"

But EVERYONE in the party was talking about Carmelo's shoes -- a pair of Jordan 11 All Reds ... shoes that no one can buy and may have been custom made just for C.M.

It's like seeing a mermaid riding on a unicorn making out with Kate Upton.

Even Nas tweeted about it ... "@carmeloanthony had the crazy feets on last night. I need these!!!!"

NFL Hall-of-Famer Curtis Martin didn't become a father until he was 38-years-old ... 6 years after he hung up his cleats ... and he tells TMZ Sports it was the BEST decision he ever made.

Martin was out in NYC where he received a "Father of the Year" award from the National Father's Day Committee ... where he admitted being a parent is the hardest thing he's ever done.

And that's also why the 41-year-old says he is so happy he waited until AFTER his NFL career to procreate ... explaining that football consumed his life during his NFL career and now he's glad he can dedicate 100% of his time toward being a dad.

"I didn't have a father, so being a father is everything to me ... next to being a husband."

Patrick Ewing had some weird superstitions that he would follow before EVERY Knicks game ... so says former teammate John Starks.

Starks says one of the most bizarre pre-game rituals that Ewing refused to break was a NO-AUTOGRAPH policy until the game was over.

"You could be on your death bed, he still wouldn't sign autographs before the games," Starks says.

John -- who's now running a whole bunch of companies in his post-NBA career (including a pizza biz, shoe company and clothing line) -- says Ewing had other superstitions, one regarding his shoes.

Starks also talked about his legendary feud with Reggie Miller -- and says despite the heated rivalry -- and the famous headbutt -- the two left their beef on the court ... and now have a friendly relationship.

Good news for Johnny Manziel ... and his penis ... a Florida judge has just THROWN OUT the $25 MILLION hoax lawsuit filed against him ... and ripped the dumbass who filed it in the first place.

You know the lawsuit ... some wannabe prankster filed actual, legal documents in District Court in Florida posing as HLN host Samantha Schacher -- when, in fact, the prankster is a man.

In the bogus lawsuit, the hoaxster claimed the NFL star bombarded "her" with naked selfies and X-rated videos ... including a clip where he was "jingling" his penis to the tune of 'It's a Small World."

Well, it didn't take long for a judge to call B.S. -- and last week, Judge Steven D. Merryday dismissed the suit ... calling it "immaterial, impertinent and scandalous."

The always charming Donald Sterling ran a clinic on "How to Win Friends and Influence People" yesterday ... when a photog asked the disgraced Clippers owner how he was doing.

Sterling's response -- well, he basically told our guy to go F himself.

It's not like Donald's got a lot to be happy about these days -- his estranged wife sold his team, he's been banned for life from the NBA and he's being sued by an alleged former employee who claims D.S. subjected her to a bunch of offensive comments.

And at a recent Secret Service charity golf tournament in L.A., there was definitely some sort of drone keeping watch from the sky.

TMZ Sports has obtained footage showing a fast-moving flying object hovering over the event -- where stars like Kendall Schmidt -- the lead singer from "Big Time Rush" who joined current and past agents on the links at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes.

We're told the event raised a ton of cash for families of former agents ... including $2,500 from Schmidt, who sponsored the first tee.

As for the U.F.O. ... our sources on the course tell us the drone hovered over the area throughout the day, zipping around the sky. Unclear if was it was keeping watch over the agents ... or just recording the action for fun.

Chris Paul musta been super jealous of Zack Morris as a kid ... because the NBA superstar was OBSESSED with Kelly Kapowski ... which is why he freaked out when she gave him a signed pic for his birthday last month.

Paul just revealed the gift -- a personalized autographed pic of Tiffani Thiessen that read, "Happy birthday my dear."

In fact, the 49-year-old hosted a big yoga event in Charlotte this weekend with 6'5" Carolina Panthers lineman Byron Bell.

But Bogues says size doesn't matter when you're on the mat -- telling TMZ Sports, "As the smallest player to ever play [in the NBA], doing yoga comes quite natural to me."

He added, "So when I hit the child's pose position, I felt like I was in a crib."

NBA star Nate Robinson didn't drop thousands of dollars on some ultra-rare Nike Air Yeezys to keep them in his closet -- he rocked 'em out to dinner last night ... and tells TMZ Sports they also work with a suit.

The Denver Nuggets point guard hit up Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills on Monday sportin' a pair of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October kicks ... which usually run around $5k -- with some pairs selling for THREE times that much.

The Red Octobers are one of the most bootlegged sneakers on the market right now -- with Kanye famously calling out a fan who had fake Yeezys in Paris last month. But Nate insists his shoes are the real deal.

But the real question ... when you drop $5k on a sneaker, can you pull 'em off with formal wear??
