Mike Comrie Rape Case Rejected Over Holes In Sodomy Claim

Published | Updated

Ex-NHL star Mike Comrie will NOT be charged with rape -- after prosecutors say there was reasonable doubt as to whether his accuser consented to anal sex during a sexual encounter in February.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Comrie was investigated over a Feb. 11th incident at his L.A. home in which he invited 2 women over for drinks and sex.

The accuser told police she watched Comrie take the 1st woman into his room for sex. When they were finished, woman #1 left and the accuser then had consensual sex with Comrie.

According to official documents obtained by TMZ Sports the accuser says the sex was consensual at first ... until Comrie crossed the line by engaging in anal sex.

The woman claims she told him to stop but he didn't -- instead, he allegedly choked her and told her she couldn't tell him what to do. The woman claims the sexual assault lasted 45 seconds.

But here's where things get messy ... investigators say the woman claims she showered after the incident and then engaged in another consensual sex act with Comrie, which she says also got rough when he slapped her in the face.

At that point, the woman claims she jumped off the bed and started recording audio on her phone as she accused him of sexually assaulting her.

Cops obtained the recording and say Comrie sounds heavily intoxicated but denied any wrongdoing -- insisting the accuser had consented to everything.

The woman left Comrie's home and went to a rape treatment center -- where examiners noted a laceration to her anus. However, examiners noted the cut was consistent with both consensual and non-consensual sex.

In the end, investigators say they can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Comrie acted without believing he had consent ... and therefore they will not move forward with charges.

LET'S TACO BOUT REAL ISSUES

John Salley 100% has the back of his old Bad Boys teammate Dennis Rodman ... saying the human rights organization calling for revoking The Worm's Hall Of Fame status is full of B.S.

As we previously reported ... The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation is upset with Dennis over his relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Those concerns were of course made worse by the recent death of U.S. student -- and former NK prisoner -- Otto Warmbier.

The group has called for Rodman's Hall of Fame status to be stripped ... something Salley said was a insane waste of time when we got him out in Beverly Hills.

"This world is going through a tough, tough time. We don't have time to talk about the Hall of Fame."

John didn't stop there, saying that not only has Dennis not damaged the integrity of the hall (grounds for removal, according to the rules) but his offbeat behavior has only made basketball better.

"Dennis Rodman's antics and ways have literally given leeway and flavor for the guys to be able to do what they do today. So the fact that somebody wants to remove the good he's done is literally crazy."

Lamar Odom Blasts Stephen A. How Dare You Mock Crack Addiction?!

Published | Updated

Lamar Odom is FURIOUS at Stephen A. Smith -- and unleashed his lawyer to tear the ESPN star a new one for mocking his crack addiction on the air.

Odom's pissed at a segment from Wednesday's "First Take" -- when Smith was ripping NY Knicks president Phil Jackson for running the team into the ground and brought up the time he signed Odom.

"His very first move as executive was to sign Lamar Odom ... WHO WAS ON CRACK," Smith said on air. The clip went viral.

Now, Odom's attorney, Saam Zangeneh, has fired off a letter to ESPN saying, "Mr. Smith chose to jokingly disparage Lamar for a having a disease."

"Mr. Smith chose to shout out the fact that Lamar was sick, and to use his disease as the butt of a joke."

"To say that his conduct was outrageous and unacceptable does not scratch the surface."

"Imagine the effect this grotesque statement would have on any young athlete who is privately fighting this disease. To become the punch line of a vulgar joke."

Zangeneh continued, "We hope those at ESPN will actively voice their disdain for Mr. Smith's inappropriate statement and take the proper action to support those that are fighting this disease."

"We should hope that your network would use this situation as an opportunity to become more actively involved in this cause."

Stephen A. Smith released the following statement through ESPN:

"Because of my personal affection for Lamar Odom -- and only for that reason -- I want to return to my comments about something I've repeated quite often over the last few days: the flagrant ineptitude that I feel has been on continual display by New York Knick's President Phil Jackson.

My comments were NOT to put any more focus on Lamar Odom's much publicized drug use and addiction. He was not the target of my ire.

The sole focus of my comments were directed at the unmitigated disaster that Phil Jackson has created since he's arrived in New York. In my opinion, he simply couldn't leave soon enough.

Lamar Odom is simply one of the nicest athletes any of us have encountered, and has always been a gentlemen to everyone in NBA circles -- including me -- which is something I've repeated throughout the years.

That's why it's worth repeating: Lamar Odom was not the focus of my ire. My comments were entirely, totally, meant for Phil Jackson. Anyone who loves the NY Knicks, who've witnessed what has been transpiring over the last three years, know exactly who I was directing my comments to.

And Why!"

DRINK THE JUICE

Herschel Walker says his old friend, OJ Simpson, has paid his debt to society and deserves a second chance at life ... and he'd like to see Juice do something productive after his release -- like work with kids.

As we previously reported, Simpson could be released from prison in Nevada on Oct. 1 -- after serving time for armed robbery at a Vegas hotel back in 2007.

So, what's he gonna do when he's free?

Walker -- who's out in NYC promoting Bellator MMA -- says he wants Simpson to dedicate his life to doing something positive -- something that will not only prove he's reformed, but also a good person.

"One thing he could do is help to mentor some of the young kids that are coming up in this athletic world," Walker tells TMZ Sports ... something that can help kids realize there's more to life than sports.

Just one question ... honestly, would you let OJ mentor your kids?

He's worn dresses ... maybe that's why Dennis Rodman felt so comfortable using the women's restroom at Long Beach airport Wednesday night.

A female witness tells us she noticed Dennis in the airport around 9 PM -- but couldn't believe it when she saw The Worm walk straight into the women's restroom while blasting Staind's "It's Been Awhile" on his mini-speaker.

We're told he was inside for about a minute -- and acted normal while a bunch of confused women looked on ... some doing double takes.

Ultimately, he left without issue and went on his merry way ... continuing to play that Staind song.

Detroit Pistons star Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been suspended 2 games without pay for his March drunk driving arrest ... the league announced Friday.

He'll serve the suspension at the beginning of the 2017-18 season.

Police gave him a breathalyzer and he blew a .08, resulting in the arrest. KCP struck a deal with prosecutors in May in which he pled guilty to 2 lesser DUI-related charges. In exchange, he got 12 months probation.

Detroit Lions' Tavon Wilson Accused of Attacking Baby Mama ... Denies Allegation

Published | Updated

1:38 PM PT -- We spoke to Wilson's lawyer, Mark Schamel, who tells us, "There's video of the incident that shows Ms. Leach is attacked. Mr. Wilson is a witness, Ms. Leach is the victim and Ms. Jackson is the defendant."

"She's been charged criminally. Her civil claim is meritless and I think she will be convicted for this shortly."

Detroit Lions safety Tavon Wilson is being sued by his baby mama -- who claims the NFL player punched her in the face during a nightclub altercation in May 2016 and broke her nose. But Wilson claims the case is BS.

The woman behind the suit is Alanda Jackson -- who dated Wilson from 2011 to 2014. They have a 3-year-old child together.

Alanda claims she encountered Wilson at Bliss nightclub on May 14 -- where she got into a verbal altercation with Wilson's current girlfriend, Simone Leach.

While Alanda and Simone were arguing, Wilson allegedly grabbed Alanda, threw her to the ground and began punching her in the face.

Alanda claims the attack lasted several minutes before security broke it up.

In her suit, Alanda claims a female friend who was with her at the club was stabbed by a member of Tavon's entourage during the melee. Both women were hospitalized.

Alanda claims she suffered major injuries in the attack -- including a broken nose, a black eye and cuts on her back. She's suing for more than $2.5 MILLION.

The other alleged victim is also suing Tavon -- claiming the NFL player ordered his entourage to "f*ck 'em up" when the initial verbal altercation took place.

We contacted D.C. police who confirm a report was filed at the time of the incident -- but Alanda was the one arrested because Simone claimed she was the real victim.

Wilson is fighting both lawsuits -- he's asked the judge to throw them both out.

We reached out to Wilson's camp for comment. So far, no word back.

Shots fired from boxing legend Bernard Hopkins -- who's dissing McGregor vs. Mayweather in a BIG way ... saying the whole thing is a "fake news" fight.

FYI, B-Hop works for Golden Boy Promotions and is hyping the other superfight of the year -- Canelo vs. GGG ... a fight Hopkins says is undoubtedly the superior event.

In fact, he has a message to people leaning toward buying the MayMac PPV over the Canelo fight.

"You got a chance to get in a Ferrari but you choose the Pontiac?!?"

Yeah ... he's not holding back. In fact, he won't even say Conor's full name.

Ouch.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT

UFC rising star Kevin Lee says Khabib Nurmagomedov is running scared ... and he's ready to expose the so-called #1 contender for Conor McGregor's lightweight belt.

Lee told TMZ Sports he's been gunning for Khabib forever ... but "the man just won't sign to fight."

Of course, Khabib's had his own issues -- he was hospitalized for a botched weight cut right before he was set to face Tony Ferguson at UFC 209. He was pulled from the fight and has been laying low ever since.

So, what's Lee's master plan? Beat Michael Chiesa -- who he's fighting this weekend at UFC Fight Night 112 -- so badly that Nurmagomedov has no choice but to throw down with him.

Lee's even got a deadline for Khabib ... but has serious doubts about him making the date.

"If he can't show up with six months notice then, God damn, I don't know what to do."

Lee knows he's got to handle Chiesa first, though ... and he's got a violent strategy.

Dennis Rodman to Trump: We Can Make Peace with N. Korea ... Together!

Published | Updated

Dennis Rodman just sent a message to Donald Trump -- call me, so we can make peace with North Korea together!

And yeah, he's dead serious.

The Worm -- who just got back from N. Korea -- sat down with Michael Strahan on 'GMA' and laid out why he thinks he and Trump can make real progress with Kim Jong-un.

Strahan pushed Rodman about the fact Jong-un's a dictator and the mysterious death of ex-NK prisoner Otto Warmbier ... but Dennis continued to insist the North Koreans are good people who are just misunderstood.

While Rodman wouldn't personally take credit for Warmbier's release -- his agent sure did ... insisting Dennis' trip was a key factor in Jong-un's decision to free the 22-year-old American.

Rodman's agent says he specifically asked about Warmier's release 3 times before this most recent trip -- and says, "I know being there had something to do with it."

Warmbier's family says BS -- insisting the NBA legend had nothing to do with it.
