John Cena and Nikki Bella started down the road to marriage when they were both doped up for surgeries.

The freshly engaged WWE superstars went on "Today" and revealed a cool story about what they said to each other while getting wheeled into operating rooms.

John says Nikki shoulda known a proposal was coming because he flat-out told her, "You know someday I'm going to marry you?"

Floyd Mayweather channeled his inner-Bob Barker for his son's 16th birthday party ... 'cause he gave away A BRAND NEW CAR!!!!!

The guest of honor was Zion Mayweather -- who was celebrated with a live performance from Young Thug while go-go dancers busted out bottle service (non-alcoholic, we think)!!

Detroit Pistons star Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was surprisingly calm for a guy suspected of DUI ... at least, it seemed that way in the video of his arrest, obtained by TMZ Sports.

Kentavious was arrested in the early hours of March 29 -- after the Pistons had lost to the Miami Heat.

KCP was initially pulled over for speeding -- but during the stop, the officer explains to the NBA star that he smelled booze and his eyes were glossy.

Caldwell-Pope explained that he only had 2 drinks that night -- two glasses of Hennessy -- but says he specifically kept his drinking in check because he knew he had to drive.

At one point, it sounds like Kentavious calls himself a "lightweight."

Forget Floyd, Conor McGregor had someone else on his mind this weekend -- his soon-to-be born child ... 'cause the UFC star and his girlfriend just had their official baby shower!

Conor and Dee Devlin were surrounded by their closest female friends and family members (it appears Conor and the fetus were the only boys present) for a fancy shindig in Dublin.

The baby is due in May and while Conor and Dee reportedly have a name picked out, they're keeping it a secret until the birth!

We broke the story ... a 27-year-old woman accused Irvin of sexually assaulting her at a hotel in Florida on March 21. He adamantly denies any wrongdoing.

The Cowboys legend has been silent about the situation -- but as he was leaving an autograph event at the Dulles Expo Center on Sunday, he vowed to tell his side of the story.

John Cena busted out a ring IN THE RING ... popping the question to fellow WWE superstar Nikki Bella -- and like her brother-in-law, Daniel Bryan, she said, "YES! YES! YES!"

Cena whipped out the massive Tiffany's diamond after he and Nikki beat up The Miz and Maryse in a co-ed tag team match at WrestleMania 33.

Here's the thing ... Cena didn't use her "ring name" -- he proposed with her real name, "Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace" -- leading most people to think the proposal was real and not a scripted bit.

John and Nikki have been dating in real life since 2012.

After the event, Cena tweeted about the proposal.

The Undertaker apparently put the final nail in his pro wrestling coffin Sunday night ... leaving his gear in the ring after his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

The 52-year-old WWE legend had just lost in the main event when he removed his signature hat, gloves and coat ... and then waved at the fans.

The move is a traditional way of signifying retirement among wrestlers ... and while there has been no official retirement announcement, the message seems pretty clear.
