Former NBA star Cliff Robinson has been hospitalized in Oregon ... this according to the former All-Star forward's family.

50-year-old Robinson is currently at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, although no further details about what caused the hospital stay were made available.

Cliff played for five different NBA teams, but was a star for the Portland Trailblazers in the early to mid 1990's, where he was an All-Star and a defensive standout.

He later opened a marijuana shop called Uncle Spliffy.

Fear not, traditionalists ... the person providing the vocals for the 2017 rendition of "One Shining Moment" at March Madness is about to be revealed ... and it's gonna make you happy.

We spoke with David Barrett -- the guy who wrote, composed and originally sang the song behind the most emotional montage in sports -- and he told us it's all Luther Vandross, baby!!!

Remember, last year CBS used a new version with singer Ne-Yo on the Team Stream presentations of the NCAA tournament championship ... and people lost their minds (even though he did a good job).

But Barrett says it's Luther all around this year ... the guy behind the most popular rendition of the song.

Boxing champ Terence Crawford found himself playing the role of referee during a violent girl-on-girl street fight in Omaha ... and one of the combatants was his own sister.

Here's the deal ... a woman named Mystery Wakefield says she was working at the Citi Trends clothing shop in Omaha when she was approached by Terence's sister who wanted to fight.

Mystery says she clocked out of her job (don't wanna fight on company time) and met Iesha Crawford outside ... where they proceeded to throw down.

Terence -- who was recently released from jail -- can be seen trying to break up the fight.

The boxer eventually left the scene, but cops tracked down his car and pulled him over. A gun was found inside the vehicle and he was taken to a nearby station for questioning. He was later released with no charges.

As for why the women were fighting and why Terence was there ... we're still looking into it.

K.C. Chiefs tight end Demetrius Harris was arrested for weed on Tuesday -- when a routine traffic stop in Missouri went very poorly.

The 25-year-old was a passenger in a car that was stopped by the Missouri State Highway Patrol around 4:22 PM ... and during the stop, officers suspected there was marijuana in the car.

Cops say they found more than 35 grams -- which is considered a felony in Missouri and carries serious penalties including 7 years in prison.

Look, 35 grams isn't a small amount of weed ... but it ain't exactly Snoop Dogg territory either.

He was booked for felony possession of weed and drug paraphernalia.

Vince Young just took a HUGE step in his possible return to football -- he's "finalizing his contract" with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and is currently flying to Canada to close the deal.

Young announced his intentions to return to the game back in February and even signed with agent Leigh Steinberg in the hopes of getting with a team.

Now, sources familiar with the situation tell us Young and the CFL team are rounding 3rd in terms of getting a deal done and all that's left is for Vince to pick up a pen and sign on the dotted line.

The 33-year-old QB last played in the NFL back in 2011.

Dez Bryant unleashed the fury all over a Twitter troll Wednesday -- saying haters "have no clue" what he's been dealing with off the field over the past 2 years and should "shut the f**k up."

It all started when Cowboys reporter Jon Machota posted a list of WRs with the most receiving yards since 2012 which showed Dez ranked 8th ... below Calvin Johnson, T.Y. Hilton and Brandon Marshall.

Dez explained that he's finally getting his first healthy off-season training in 2 years and suggested he'll bounce back strong in 2017.

Not everyone's buying it -- including one guy who tweeted at Dez, "Injury prone. If your not on the field, talent means nothing! If you miss more than 5 games in 17' you'll be cut 2018!UNDERSTAND."

Dez didn't like that and fired back ...

"Bro shut the f**k up.. the game of football is more than training and playing.. you have no clue what I was dealing with these pass 2 years."

We know SOME of what he's dealt with off the field ... he's been sued for allegedly trashing a mansion and blasted by animal groups over a pet monkey ... but it seems like Dez is hinting at bigger issues.

Joe Mixon just dominated at Oklahoma's pro day -- posting VERY impressive numbers in various drills -- but the question remains ... will an NFL team actually pull the trigger in April?

Obviously, Mixon's past is a huge red flag -- he wasn't invited to the NFL combine because of the video showing him brutalizing a female student in 2014.

Instead, Mixon put his skills on a display at a special workout on the Oklahoma campus -- putting up numbers that would put him in the Top 10 against other RB prospects in almost every category.

Mixon reportedly posted a 4.43 second 40-yard dash time (which would've been the 4th fastest time among running backs at the combine) and completed 21 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press.

Some experts say Mixon will still be drafted as high as the 2nd round ... others say he could fall out of the draft entirely.

Rodney Peete got the BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE at dinner Tuesday night ... sitting right next to Beyonce!!!

The ex-NFL QB and his wife, Holly Robinson Peete, were all at dinner at The District By Hannah An in L.A. to celebrate Beyonce's stepfather, Richard Lawson, who turned 70!

Ty Lawson broke the terms of his probation by testing positive for alcohol THREE TIMES over the past 7 months ... this according to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports.

As we previously reported, the Sacramento Kings star is on probation stemming from his 2015 drunk driving case in Denver ... and part of the terms required Lawson to stay completely sober and submit to alcohol testing.

But officials say Lawson tested positive for booze on 9/27, 9/29 and 2/7.

FYI, the Kings had the day off on 2/7 in between two home games.

Lawson spoke with reporters at Kings Media Day on Sept. 26 ... giving interviews about his troubled past, including the drunk driving arrest ... and vowing to move forward.

The next day, officials say he tested positive for booze.

Officials want the judge to revoke Lawson's probation and subject him to harsher punishment -- which includes jail time.

Tom Brady loves his ladies ... and decided to honor the females in his life on International Women's Day with a special photo tribute!

The QB posted a pic of his wife, mom, sisters, nieces and daughter and wrote a pretty touching message to his she-gang.

"Happy International Women's Day! I have been beyond blessed to have the most incredible support system and this picture sums it up."

Allen Iverson finally has a name for his 3-on-3 team, the Big3 basketball league just announced it'll be "3'S COMPANY!"

Stallone has finally revealed the crazy story 35 YEARS after the movie hit theaters ... describing how a young actor named Terry Bollea (6'7", 295 pounds with 24" biceps) didn't know his own strength!

"I remember a violent move where he threw me into the corner , charged across the ring like an ENRAGED bull and leaped so amazingly high Above me,that his shinbone actually came down giant tree on my collarbone , and I tumbled to the floor," Stallone said in an Instagram post.

"I was afraid to look at my shoulder for about 10 minutes ... I said "don't roll me over , don't move me, " because I was sure there was bone protruding through my upper chest!"

That's when Stallone brought up the poor guys who really did suffer injuries ...

"Believe it or not when he jumped into the audience to fight with the stuntmen , three of them had to be treated at the hospital."

Stallone concluded with a message to his old co-star:

"HULK , if you're reading this, it was a privilege to be mangled by such a gentleman."

Aaron Rodgers has taken a side in the whole Arian Foster vs. Wolf debate ... and it's man over beast.
