The ex-NFL player was leaving Catch in West Hollywood Thursday night -- once again appearing sober -- and explained how he plans on avoiding the same douchey mistakes he made in 2016.

Manziel had declared himself a "douche" on social media ... and vowed to be a better person this year.

Donald Trump just took the stage at a big inauguration dinner -- called out Pats owner Robert Kraft in the crowd -- and told him not to worry this weekend because Tom Brady's gonna crush the Steelers.

It all went down Thursday night in D.C. -- Trump also said Brady called him to congratulate and told him he "feels good" for the playoff game.

Of course, Trump and Brady are tight and have been for years. Trump also gave props to Bill Belichick.

Jets Legend Mark Gastineau Diagnosed with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's

NY Jets legend Mark Gastineau says he's been diagnosed with dementia, alzheimer's and parkinson's ... and suggests it was caused by football.

The 60-year-old appeared on 'Sports Zone' on WOR radio and revealed his health issues -- while also saying he's working to help young players avoid the same fate.

"I want to get out and I want to help other kids & youths coming into the game," Gastineau said.

"There's techniques out there that if I would have had them, I know that I wouldn't have the results that I have now."

Gastineau says he does NOT regret playing football -- he just wants to help make the game safer moving forward.

"I don't want [my health] to overpower or overshadow the 'Heads Up' program" -- a program that promotes youth safety in football.

"I want it to be a warning to mothers and fathers to be able to put their kids into safe places to be able to carry on a team sport that I think is going to be way far beneficial to them then if they didn't have that in their lives."

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS...

Raiders legend Tim Brown says he's pumped for the team to move to Las Vegas ... but admits he's concerned about some of the players getting too caught up in the Sin City lifestyle.

The Hall of Famer joined the guys on the "TMZ Sports" TV show (airs Thursday night on FS1) and said he voiced his concerns to Raiders management ... but ultimately realized there's temptation in EVERY city.

"When we were in L.A., we found ways to get into trouble, right? And when you're in Oakland, you find ways to get in trouble. So I think [the Raiders] whole thing is, 'Hey, look, if guys are looking for trouble, no matter what city they're in, they're gonna find the trouble.'"

Tim says the situation might require hiring people to "babysit" some of the players but "hopefully this team will be mature enough to handle the situation."

By the way, that IS Pierre Garcon in the shot -- he's co-hosting the show tonight and he's awesome!

Johnny Manziel is refuting reports that he's planning to charge fans $50 to take selfies at the Super Bowl ... saying it's "the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

Promo flyers circulated social media last week detailing Johnny's appearance at several Stadium Signature stores in Texas during Super Bowl week ... offering autographs for $99 and selfies for $50.

The Heisman trophy winner went to Twitter Thursday morning claiming the reports of makin' money off the snapshots are totally false ... and he's just looking to give back to his fans.

"Just had this brought to to my attention. I'm not charging a penny for a damn 'selfie' at the super bowl," Johnny tweeted.

"I'm doing this signing for the people (especially Texans) who have stuck with me through all the mistakes I've made these past years #tru"

As for the $99 charge per autograph, Johnny didn't confirm or deny that.

The guy who signed off on paying Ryan Fitzpatrick $12 MILLION to throw 17 interceptions will be named official U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Officials say Donald Trump will announce NY Jets owner Woody Johnson will take the position.

Johnson was also the vice chairman of the Trump Victory Committee and hosted a huge fundraiser for him in the Hamptons.

The Senate will have to confirm Johnson before the move is official ... but it's more of a formality at this point.

Woody's reportedly handing over day-to-day operations to his brother.

Oakland Raiders 'Officially File Paperwork' to Move to Vegas

The Raiders have officially filed their paperwork to move the team from Oakland to Las Vegas ... the NFL has confirmed.

So, what does it mean? The move will go to a vote of NFL owners -- and the team needs at least 24 affirmative votes to make it happen. The vote is expected to go down in March.

Don't expect a Chargers-style lightning move -- the Raiders would likely play the next two seasons in Oakland -- before relocating for the 2020 season.

Owner Mark Davis has had his eye on Vegas for years -- and even snatched up LasVegasRaiders.com back in the '90s.

The battle for L.A. has begun ... and Chargers Pro Bowl safety Jason Verrett just fired one of the first shots!

Verrett was leaving the Chargers media event in L.A. on Wednesday when we asked which team the locals would embrace more ... the L.A. Chargers or the L.A. Rams?

"Chargers," Verrett said ... "because we're a better team."

Tyron Woodley says he's beaten some of the best fighters in the world ... and tells TMZ Sports the way his career's going, he's a lock for the Hall of Fame.

The UFC's reigning welterweight champ is clearly upset he isn't getting the respect he believes he deserves and told ESPN on Wednesday his race is a factor.

"Let's put the cards on the table ... real is real. If I was a different complexion, I think people and fans would treat me a different way."

Despite his reception, Woodley says you can't argue with his record ... with huge wins over guys like Carlos Condit, Robbie Lawler and Josh Koscheck.

UF Bass Fishing Team EJECTED FROM BOAT ... Crazy, Crazy, Video

Here's the most incredible video you'll see today ... the University of Florida Bass fishing team (we didn't know either) EJECTED FROM A SPEEDING MOTORBOAT at 57 mph.

The guys in the boat -- Hunter Bland and Conner Young -- were cruising along as usual when the steering system on their boat malfunctioned ... sending the men flying into the water.

Fortunately, the guys were wearing life jackets and kill switches -- which stopped the boat dead in its tracks.

You can see in the video the men are shaken up but not badly injured. One guy says, "I just need to breathe for a second."

We've reached out to the guys for more on this ... it's a fisherman's story actually worth hearing.
