Looks like Kanye West was the opener for Ray Lewis and Jim Brown -- the sports greats met with Prez-elect Donald Trump shortly after 'Ye.

The football legends arrived separately at Trump Tower. Trump confidante Omarosa escorted both men upstairs for their powwows with the future commander-in-chief.

Afterward, Brown told reporters he talked to Trump about "helping people." He wasn't any more specific than that.

Unclear what was on Ray's agenda, but both he and Trump were at the Army-Navy game over the weekend.

Major League Baseball Bans Dressing Players As Women Find A New Way To Haze

Published | Updated

Major League Baseball has finally put an end to veteran players hazing rookies by forcing them to dress as women ... a ritual many felt was insensitive and offensive.

As we've pointed out for years, women's rights groups -- among others -- have complained about the gender-shaming hazing ... and MLB heard the message loud and clear.

As part of baseball's new CBA, "requiring, coercing or encouraging" players as "dressing up as women or wearing costumes that may be offensive to individuals based on their race, sex, nationality, age, sexual orientation, gender identify or other characteristic" is now forbidden.

In recent years, some clubs heard the criticism and ended the practice ... opting to dress their young players like male superheroes -- not women. Many other teams continued the tradition.

Back in September we shot San Francisco Giants rooks Derek Law and Albert Saurez outside a club in L.A. ... wearing backless dresses and wigs.

But no more ... 'cause it's now against the rules.

9:55AM PT -- Hudson Taylor, the founder of Athlete Ally -- an organization that promotes LGBT acceptance in sports, and was outspoken against the hazing ritual -- gave the following statement to TMZ Sports.

"By banning the hazing of rookies by having them dress in feminine presenting clothing, MLB draws closer to minimizing and hopefully ending discrimination and harassment based on gender identity and expression."

"This is an important step on the pathway to creating a baseball culture in which players are not isolated, excluded or othered because of how they identify or who they love. I commend the leadership of MLB for taking a stand.”

Jay Z Throws Epic Subliminal Diss At Phil Jackson ... Over Posse Comment

Published | Updated

SUBLIMINAL DISS: When a rapper disses an enemy without ever mentioning his name, but everyone knows exactly who he's talking to, and what he's talking about.

That's exactly what Jay Z (master of the subliminal) did to Phil Jackson Monday night ... and it was all over the now infamous "Posse" comment Phil directed at Hov's pal, LeBron James.

It went down last night at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Award where LeBron was being honored ... when Jay took the mic to present LeBron with the award.

Check out the shot ... it's perfectly placed ... somewhere Phil is slapping his forehead.

Eric Dickerson Me Back On The Rams Sidelines? Not So Fast!!

Published | Updated

NFL legend Eric Dickerson has a message for anyone thinking he's gonna rush back to the sidelines of Rams games now that Jeff Fisher is out as coach ... not so fast, homie.

It wasn't too long ago that Fisher called Dickerson up personally and banned him from hanging with the team at games ... apparently miffed that ED was being publicly critical about the team's play.

Eric was none too pleased about the decision, and he wasn't only one ... with a lot of people -- including Snoop Dogg -- asking how the franchise could treat one its greats like that.

We got ED out in the OC and wanted to know if he'd be rushing (get it) back to the games now that Fisher is gone ... and he let us know ... he might be busy those days.

This Ain't Over.

Jim Fassel Excited For Son's Opportunity 'I Feel Bad For Fisher'

Published | Updated

Jim Fassel says the Rams made the right choice in selecting his son, John, to take over as interim head coach after Jeff Fisher was fired ... telling TMZ Sports, "he's going to do a great job."

Jim -- who took the Giants to the Super Bowl in 2000 -- says he was sad to see his "lifelong friend" Fisher lose his job, but excited for John's first shot at being a head coach in the NFL.

"They selected the right guy," Fassel says. "He's been very successful with his guys and they have a lot of fun with him. I've been around the players and seen the way they relate with each other."

"He has a lot on his plate, but I know he's going to work hard. I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet because he's been working since Sunday afternoon."

As for Fassel's advice to his son ... "I'm going to tell him to be himself. Don't do anything different. I know the players play hard for him. If he keeps doing the same thing, he'll do well."

Justin Bieber Held Back From Fighting After Dirty Hockey Play

Published | Updated

Justin Bieber is a real Canuck on the ol' ice rink ... coming razor close to dropping his gloves and taking on some hockey players who broke his stick and didn't say sorry.

The Biebs got in on a beer league pickup game at the Toyota Sports Center -- where the L.A. Kings practice -- and damn near came to blows after a dirty play.

Watch -- as #23 (Biebs) comes in for a shot, a defender comes down hard with his own stick and snaps Justin's in 2. Safe to say Justin didn't take kindly to that.

It definitely feels like a face-off.

THERE'S A NEW KING IN TOWN

Martin Luther King, Jr. left some big shoes to fill when it came to civil rights and peaceful protests, but Lebron James and Colin Kaepernick could do him justice, according to his son, MLK III.

We got MLK III at LAX Monday where he told us he thought Lebron and Colin were the closest thing to modern day black leadership ... obviously referring to Kaepernick famously taking a knee during the National Anthem and LeBron promoting social activism at this year's ESPYs.

MLK III didn't stop there ... he also mentioned several other candidates with star power, including a singer. HINT: it's a female.

Paige VanZant I'm Down To Fight Ronda Rousey ... If She Does One Thing

THIS COULD BE IT

UFC star Paige VanZant says a super fight between her and Ronda Rousey is DEFINITELY a possibility ... as long as Rousey is willing to shed some serious pounds to make it happen.

The two ladies haven't exactly been cool with each other ... being locked in a yearlong feud that started when Ronda got pissed that Paige congratulated Holly Holm on kicking Rousey's ass.

Seems like that beef has cooled off lately ... but when we got Paige out in L.A. Monday she said she's definitely down to feud with Ronda in the Octagon ... as long as it's at a fair weight.

FYI -- Paige fights at 115, Ronda fights at 135 ... according to VanZant, the magic number here is in the middle ... at 125.

It's not an impossible scenario. Rousey has a massive fight coming up against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 ... but if she gets past that test, a fight with Paige -- one of the biggest names in the sport -- could be huge.

You hear that, Dana? It's the sound of MONEY.

Lamar is getting treatment in the San Diego area, and made the decision to go on his own ... according to a source close to the former NBA star. We're told he's been there for 4 days, and will remain there for an extended stay.

In the last year, we've seen Odom drinking at bars -- most notably on Easter weekend -- despite his hardcore addiction, and near fatal OD a year ago. Earlier this month, he was at Delilah in West Hollywood, although we don't know if he was drinking there.

Khloe Kardashian convinced him to enter treatment once before, in August 2012, but he only stayed for 3 weeks.

We broke the story ... a judge has finally signed off on Lamar and Khloe's divorce, and they'll officially be single on December 17.

E! first reported Lamar's rehab stint.

AZ Cardinals Star Michael Floyd Busted For DUI ... Allegedly Fell Asleep Behind Wheel (UPDATE)

Published | Updated

3:50 PM PT -- According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, cops found Floyd asleep in his 2016 Cadillac Escalade at a stop light. They became suspicious of his vehicle cause it didn't move when the light turned green.

Police say the engine was running and Floyd's foot was on the brake, so they blocked his car and pounded on the windows until he woke up and put the car in park.

According to the report, cops asked the wide receiver to get out of the car several times -- and eventually had to help him out. They say his speech was slurred and he reeked of booze.

Police say Floyd told them he was on his way to the airport to pick up his nephew -- and that he had drank a couple glasses of "house cabernet" a few hours earlier.

He originally said he had been drinking at the W Hotel, but then changed his story and said he drank on the plane ride home from Miami.

Cops arrested him on DUI charges, and then added a failure to obey a lawful order charge because he refused to take a breath test.

Arizona Cardinals star Michael Floyd was arrested on DUI charges early Monday morning ... after police found the wide receiver unconscious behind the wheel of his car ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Floyd -- who was also arrested for driving drunk during his time at Notre Dame -- was booked for 2 counts of DUI, obstructing a roadway and failure to obey an officer.

The Cardinals had just gotten back from Miami after losing to the Dolphins 26-23. Floyd had 2 catches for 18 yards.

Floyd was released from jail a few hours later.

Rams S.B. Champ Grant Wistrom It Was Time To Fire Jeff Fisher ... Change Needed To Happen

Published | Updated

Rams Super Bowl champ Grant Wistrom ain't surprised the Rams fired Jeff Fisher ... 'cause it was time for the longtime head coach to go.

Wistrom -- who played for the Rams from '98-'03 -- says he's always respected Fisher as a coach, but knew the team needed to make a move given his 31-45-1 record and lack of success in L.A.

"It's a lot easier to change a coach than it is to change the players, and a change needed to be made, G.W. says, "obviously, they're not winning."

Wistrom also talks about Coach Fisher's public feud with Rams legend Eric Dickerson ... and whether that contributed to his firing.
