Conor McGregor was not impressed with the 2016 Election -- claiming neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton have any real power to make a difference ... and nothing's gonna change.

The UFC superstar sat down with BT Sport before the results came in -- and he was asked for his thoughts on Trump ... and that's when he went off.

"I just could not give a bullocks ... all due respect, the whole thing is just weird to me. I don't think whoever wins, anything's gonna change."

"I don't think either of those two contenders have any power in anything, anyway. But whatever, it is what it is."

But when it comes to his own political career, Conor says don't rule him out at some point down the line ...

Bill Belichick says his letter to Donald Trump wasn't "politically motivated" -- claiming he was just supporting a guy he's been friends with for years.

Belichick addressed the letter in front of the media Wednesday morning -- the letter which congratulated Trump on a "tremendous campaign" and said he hopes Trump will "Make America great again."

Despite the political content, BB says the letter wasn't about pushing political or religious views -- it was merely about backing his friend.

Belichick says he's also friends with John Kerry -- which proves it's possible to have a genuine relationship with two guys with polar opposite political views.

Newt Gingrich TRIED to warn Hillary Clinton about counting her chickens ... sending a message to the Dems back in October ... a message that fell on deaf ears.

After the release of the Billy Bush "Trump Tapes" -- Donald was down BIG in the polls. But Newt warned about the dangers of "spiking the football" before the race was over ... and used a 2013 example from a University of Wisconsin football game to make his point.

Seems Clinton should've listened ...

An NYPD cop was literally SHAKING IN HER BOOTS when she came face-to-face with Conor McGregor this week -- but she wasn't scared ... she was insanely starstruck!

The UFC superstar is in New York gearing up for UFC 205 on Nov. 12th -- and came face-to-face with an officer who told Conor she was Irish ... and he was her hero.

What ensued was some serious fangirling ... with the cop claiming, "Besides my kids being born this is one of the best days of my life."

It ain't over 'til it's over -- so says Billie Jean King who says she's not ready to throw in the towel on Hillary Clinton ... yet.

The tennis legend is at the Clinton party at the Javits Center in NYC -- where she told us she remains hopeful HC can pull this thing off -- despite the fact Donald seems to be kicking her ass.

TMZ Sports spoke with Spurs sharp shooter Danny Green about the election ... and he told us his coach is all about making sure his players are tapped into life outside the NBA.

"He'll ask us a bunch of trivia questions about what's going on in the world," Green says ... explaining that events like the election will have a direct affect on their lives.

Don't expect the same boring fight if Manny Pacquiao gets his rematch with Floyd Mayweather -- so says Manny's promoter, Bob Arum, who says his guy is a BETTER FIGHTER than he was last year.

We saw Bob out in L.A. Monday night -- and he explained why he's extremely confident MayPac2 will actually happen ... and when it does, Floyd's gonna be in some real trouble in the ring.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Luke and Demi began quietly dating at the beginning of the summer after hitting it off at the Unbreakable MMA gym in L.A.

There was some secret social media flirting ... but for the most part, they kept things on the D.L. -- until Sunday when they arrived to the L.A. Rams game together and even posed for pics.

Paul George sent a bouquet of flowers to the woman he accidentally hit with a basketball ... but that didn't stop the NBA from slapping him with a $15,000 fine.

George was ejected during the 3rd quarter of Saturday's Pacers-Bulls game after he got frustrated by a call and kicked the basketball into the stands ... hitting a female fan.

P.G. sent an apology note and flowers to the fan ... saying, "I'm sorry for the ball hitting you at the game on Saturday! It was not intentional. I hope you are feeling okay."

Apology or not, the NBA just hit George with a $15k fine for "kicking the ball into the spectator stands."

Snoop Dogg has GREAT news for pissed off Steeler fans -- the rest of the year is gonna be nothin' but a W thang, as in wins ... 'cause he says Pittsburgh is about to hit a big win streak.

TMZ Sports ran into Uncle Snoop out in Hollywood, when he assured us he ain't bothered by the 21-14 loss to Baltimore ... and even broke down his high expectations for Steel City's future.

"Shut up, kiss my ass, and move on" is Curt Schilling's message to anyone taking issue with the pic he posted of a man wearing a t-shirt suggesting journalists be lynched.

"Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required" was printed on the shirt ... reportedly worn by a man at a Trump rally. The implication ... a majority of the media has been biased against Donald Trump.

Schilling reposted the picture (he didn't take the photo) on Twitter Monday ... and criticism came fast and furiously ... with people saying he was promoting violence against journalist.

TMZ Sports talked to Curt ... and asked him why he posted the picture, and what he'd say to people attacking him. He doesn't hold back.

We also asked Schilling -- a big-time Trump supporter -- for his thoughts on the election.

Bills kicker Dan Carpenter's wife is NOT HAPPY with Richard Sherman ... comparing the Pro Bowler to an animal and threatening to castrate him over a controversial play during Monday Night Football.

Sherman's been catching flak for diving at Carpenter's legs during a field goal attempt last night ... in a play many people said was dirty. For his part, R.S. claims he was simply going for the ball.

But Carpenter's wife, Kaela, ain't buyin' it ... so she hit up Twitter to send a very ominous message to Sherman.

"I know what we do on the farm when a male can't control his own rage. #LuckyImNotThere #Sherman #ActLikeAnAnimalGetTreatedLike1" ... along with a pic of a castrator attached.

Dallas Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley wants to make two things clear -- he is NOT a LeBron James fan and was NOT imitating the Cavs superstar with his TD celebration this weekend against the Browns.

Beasley caused a stir with Cleveland fans after his 2nd quarter TD grab on Sunday when his 'saucy feet' dance got confused with LBJ's famous chalk toss pre-game ritual ... leaving fans to assume CB was mocking the Chosen One.

Turns out Beasley was not throwing any shade at the King ... telling 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, "I would never imitate anything LeBron James does."

"He's not my type of guy. I'm a Kobe guy," Beasley says. "He goes to the bucket like he's a running back and wants to cry when someone touches his arm. He's just not my type of guy, man."

BTW ... LBJ is a HUGE Cowboys fan ... but Beasley clearly doesn't care.

TMZ Sports saw Britt leaving Catch in West Hollywood Monday night ... and asked the wide receiver if the Rams -- who've lost 4 straight -- could still make the postseason.

Britt ain't exactly exuding confidence ... but he says the Rams definitely have a shot.

Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor had one helluva Monday night -- 'cause after his team beat up on the Buffalo Bills, he celebrated by PROPOSING TO HIS GIRLFRIEND!

Chancellor was inactive for the game with a groin injury -- but he ran the engagement to perfection ... popping the question to his actress GF, Tiffany Luce, after the game ... and she said, "Yes!"

(Hopefully, he soldiered through that groin injury later that night)

The whole engagement was caught on video by Kam's good friend, Giovanni Ruffin ... and we gotta give the macho man high marks for his ability to show his sensitive side.

Congrats to Kam & Tifanny ... and to Russell & Ciara ... who had nothing to do with the proposal, but are nonetheless adorable.
