Embattled NFL star Justin Blackmon will NOT go to jail for his 2nd DUI in the past 3 years ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The ex-Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver was busted for drunk driving on December 19th after bombing a field sobriety test.

He previously pled guilty to the charge back in April ... but was back in an Oklahoma courtroom on Wednesday for his sentencing.

According to a court rep, he got a 1-year suspended sentence ... which means he has to stay out of trouble or could get locked up.

He was also ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and pay a $100 fine.

Nick Diaz ended up in the middle of a huge brawl while partying at Hyde nightclub in Vegas early Wednesday morning ... TMZ Sports has learned.

A rep for the club tells us the UFC fighter went to a bathroom outside the club around 2:30 AM, and accidentally stumbled into another customer ... who started talking smack.

Kobe Bryant says it's a "huge blessing and a huge honor" to have 8/24 deemed "Kobe Bryant Day" in Los Angeles ... and gave a heartfelt speech to his friends, family and fans at L.A. City Hall.

"I never ever thought that this day would ever be possible," Bryant told the purple and gold wearing crowd.

The clip is great ... Kobe also addressed his 2 young daughters and told them it would be their responsibility to tell their soon-to-be-born little sister about why their dad has his own day.

"She's gonna have no idea I was actually okay at playing basketball."

Ryan Lochte has a strong ally -- Olympic legend Kerri Walsh Jennings who says people need to STOP treating the swimmer like a super-villain ... adding, "He's not a terrible person."

UFC superstar Paige VanZant says she's on such good terms with Ronda Rousey after their heated encounter earlier this year ... she's decided to read her book ... and LIKES IT.

As we previously reported, Rousey confronted Paige at an event in L.A. back in April -- and cussed her out for congratulating Holly Holm on her victory at UFC 197.

VanZant says it's all water under the bridge -- "we're cool actually" -- and says she's learning a lot about Rousey in her book, "My Fight/Your Fight."

"It's really good and it's cool to kinda get inside and see the things that she's gone through that are similar to me," Paige said ... "So yeah ... no worries there."

Paige is gearing up to fight Bec Rawlings at UFC Fight Night in Vancouver on Saturday -- and essentially guarantees victory.

Boxer James Kirkland -- a former WBO super welterweight champ -- was arrested in Austin, TX earlier this month in connection to a child support case ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We've confirmed ... Kirkland was taken into custody by the Travis County Sheriff's Dept. on August 8th for contempt of court/non-payment.

It's unclear how much Kirkland owes -- but according to reports, he made more than $1 MILLION for his May 2015 fight against Canelo Alvarez. He's also reportedly in early talks to fight Miguel Cotto later this year.

Kirkland's bond was set at $15,160.25 -- which he paid. He has since been released from custody,

Doc Gooden says he fell into a "massive depression" after his mother died back in July -- but says he's now feeling great thanks to church and the right medication.

The ex-Mets pitcher sat down with Brandon Steiner in the wake of Darryl Strawberry's allegations that he's a "complete junkie addict" whose life is in danger.

"[I'm] feeling great," Gooden said ... "And I think the things that happened in the last couple days is a test to really see where I was at."

Gooden says he went through a tough time in the wake of his mother's passing -- but says, "I seek help for that, dealing with depression with that, got some great medication, things started going up."

Wednesday will officially be declared "Kobe Bryant Day" in Los Angeles ... 'cause it's 8/24 (his two jersey numbers) ... and even the Mayor of L.A. is pumped about it.

That's the question Kanye West had to ask himself when that happened to him at the Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz fight in Vegas this past weekend.

FS1's Skip Bayless says he saw the entire thing go down -- because he was sitting right behind Kanye's reserved seats.

But what transpired wasn't a fistfight ... one of the stars backed off in a big way -- and it wasn't who you think it would be.

Ryan Lochte is going to get punished by the USOC ... but sources connected with the 4 swimmers don't think it's fair for the organization to annihilate them to appease those who are out for blood.

Lochte's lawyer, Jeff Ostrow, tells TMZ he has faith in the USOC and that the organization will punish Lochte in a manner that matches his conduct during the drunken Brazilian escapade. Ostrow would not say more.

Michael Phelps' punishment for his 2 DUIs is unquestionably relevant. The reality is ... but for the grace of God, Phelps could have killed an innocent person while driving drunk. After his second DUI in 2014, the USOC imposed a 6-month suspension.

The org. did not strip Phelps of his medals or keep him from competing in the 2016 Olympics.

As for Lochte and crew, they were drunk as well, but none got behind the wheel. Our sources say worst-case scenario ... Lochte damaged a sign outside a gas station bathroom and peed on the grass.

As for the "lies" -- our sources are adamant ... he and the other swimmers were taken out of a cab at gunpoint and ordered to turn over hundreds of dollars ... classic robbery. The sources acknowledge the swimmers were deceptive by implying they were pulled over in a moving cab.

Bottom line ... sources connected with the 4 swimmers say a 6-month suspension would be harsh given Phelps' punishment, but could still be justified. Anything more, they say, is just vengeance to appease the media and the public.

Jon Jones gave Snoop Dogg a private backstage MMA lesson in Albuquerque Tuesday night -- complete with a spinning back elbow tutorial ... and the whole thing was caught on video.

Snoop invited the UFC star to his dressing room before his show with Wiz Khalifa -- where they all did a little friendly slap fighting ... and Jones broke out a spinning elbow.

Snoop LOVED IT -- and demanded Jones teach him how to throw it himself. Jon complied.

Team USA swimmer Jimmy Feigen says Brazilian officials tried to shake him down following the gas station incident in Rio ... demanding more than $46,000 to let him leave the country.

Feigen just spelled out the situation in a statement through his lawyer -- saying on the day he was scheduled to leave Rio -- hell broke loose at a Brazilian courthouse.

Nate Diaz gave an upstart vape pen company a HUGE BOOST when he lit up after UFC 202, and now the biz is struggling to meet the high demand.

Tru Vape Oil's founder, Derek Hodslo, says his phone and computer haven't stopped blowin' up since Nate puffed on one of his pens at Saturday night's news conference. He says the endorsement was totally unplanned and, in fact, Nate caught 'em off guard.

He says they had no time to stock up on the cannabidiol (CBD oil) which Nate was using that night -- and also shouted out on Instagram. Hodslo estimates they could've shipped 20,000 units, but they only had 506 CBD cartridges in stock.

Still, he says the publicity is invaluable and will eventually pay off -- even if they're not getting rich quick.

As for Nate catching heat from USADA for smoking CBD -- he says it helps him deal with post-fight inflammation -- Hodslo is team Diaz all the way, standing by his product's healing properties.

Sugar Ray Leonard is heaping praise on Usher's performance in the new Roberto Duran movie ... saying Usher was "fantastic" at portraying him ... specifically in the love scenes.

We got Leonard out at LAX and asked him about the new Duran biopic, "Hands Of Stone," in which Mr. Raymond plays Mr. Leonard.

Everyone knows Usher got in INSANE shape for the movie, and his boxing was on point ... but we wanted to know how he did in those all-important bedroom booty scenes ... and if Sugar approved.

Check out the clip -- Leonard seems to be on board with Usher's moves in and out of the ring, telling our guy the music legend "performed very well" in those intimate moments.

Devin Hester ain't hanging up his cleats just yet ... telling TMZ Sports he definitely plans to be in the NFL next year ... and nearly half the league is interested.

The 3-time All-Pro return specialist was released by the Atlanta Falcons this past July after battling a toe injury ... but that hasn't kept Hester from gunning for a return this season.

"I can't say much now, but I'm getting close," Hester says. "(I) got 14 teams waiting on me."

He wouldn't say which teams ... but Hester is considered the best returner in NFL history ... so it's no surprise there's a ton of squads looking to sign him.
