Ex-USC quarterback Todd Marinovich -- who also played for the L.A. Raiders -- was arrested for possession of meth in Irvine, CA ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We spoke with Commander Hallinan of the Irvine PD who tells us they got a call about a naked man on the Venta Spur walking trail on Friday night ... and officers eventually found Marinovich in a nearby backyard.

Marinovich was still naked when cops arrived. We're told he was cooperative.

Cops searched the area and found a brown bag containing meth, weed and Todd's I.D.

He was arrested and cited for possession of a controlled substance, trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Marinovich has since been released.

Toronto Blue Jays superstar Edwin Encarnacion has been sued by a woman who claims he knowingly gave her multiple STDs during a romantic weekend ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Ryan Lochte seems genuinely remorseful about his behavior in Rio ... and he not only says he was irresponsible when it came to excessive drinking ... he's not ruling out rehab.

Our photog got Ryan in L.A. Monday, and he had a lot to say ... about Speedo firing him, how being suspended by the USOC would crush him, and what he'll do post-pool.

It was an Irish megastar explosion after UFC 202 -- with Rory McIlroy and Niall Horan congratulating Conor McGregor at the post-fight party ... and TMZ Sports has the video.

It all went down at Intrigue Nightclub -- where the Irish golfer and the Irish boy-bander approached the Irish fighter to revel in their full Irish awesomeness.

NBA star Dwight Howard is a huge UFC fan -- so when we got him leaving UFC 202, we had to ask ... who would win if you stepped into the Octagon with LeBron James??

Howard ain't no bitch -- and says he'd put his money on himself.

Dwight -- 30 years old, 6'11", 265 lbs with a wingspan of 7'4".

There are reports Balor suffered an injury to his right arm Sunday night -- but as far as we could tell from the clip, he didn't appear to be wearing a brace ... then again, he was wearing a jacket.

Hopefully, he's okay.

Ryan Lochte just lost one of his biggest sponsors -- with Speedo pulling the plug on the swimmer in the wake of his embarrassing Rio bathroom debacle.

The mankini company just issued a statement saying, "While we have enjoyed a winning relationship with Ryan for over a decade and he has been an important member of the Speedo team, we cannot condone behavior that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for."

"We appreciate his many achievements and hope he moves forward and learns from this experience."

Speedo also says it will donate a $50,000 portion of Lochte's fees to Save The Children -- a charity which will use the money to benefit children in need in Brazil.

Usain Bolt might have some 'splainin' to do ... 'cause the Jamaican track god was grinding all over some chick at a Brazilian nightclub this weekend ... a chick who ain't his GF.

Bolt hit up the All In nightclub in Rio to celebrate his 30th birthday -- and went full crotch to ass with his female dance partner in front of a packed crowd ... while Rihanna's "Work" played in the background.

As we previously reported, Bolt's been dating Jamaican fashionista Kasi Bennett -- but she was nowhere to be seen at the club.

The $300,000 Conor McGregor shelled out for his training camp -- on everything from masseuses, to nutritionists and Diaz-alike sparring partners -- was WORTH IT ... so says Forrest Griffin.

Remember, Conor said he was sparing no expense to avenge his loss to Nate Diaz -- and told ESPN he was blowing out the budget to make his camp the best training experience money could buy.

Ryan Lochte is one week into his Olympic lie, and he still doesn't understand what he did.

Lochte told Matt Lauer the Rio gas station folks were out of line to point a gun at his head because he did nothing wrong.

As we all now know ... Lochte and his crew damaged the bathroom and were leaving without paying, and gas station security claim they brandished the weapon so the swimmers didn't leave until cops arrived.

Like Conor McGregor was gonna miss a victory party?

Here's video of The Notorious heading into Encore Beach Club at the Wynn on Sunday -- one day after beating Nate Diaz in one of the craziest UFC fights we've ever seen.

Conor didn't look too bruised up ... but he did enter the party with a pretty obvious limp.

McGregor insists he did NOT break his foot -- but banged up his shin during repeated strikes to Diaz during the UFC 202 fight.

Still, he didn't let the pain keep from partying with all the bikini-clad chicks at the club!

Congrats!

It's as shocking as Saturday night's fight was awesome ... there will be no Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz trilogy ... according to the man who makes the decision.

Dana White tells TMZ Sports he wants Conor to defend his title against interim champ Jose Aldo. Dana says, "The war was fun and super successful but I'm movin' on." Here's the rub -- Conor beefed up for his fight against the much larger Diaz. Conor normally fights at 145 and swelled to 168 to fight Diaz.

Dana says Conor has two options -- either fight Aldo or surrender his title to him -- or cut weight to 155 and fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title.

Dana says under any scenario, he's closing the books on McGregor vs. Diaz.

Conor McGregor celebrated his win against Nate Diaz in what UFC aficionados are calling a fight for the ages.

Conor cut loose at Intrigue Nightclub in Vegas, after beating Nate by majority decision.

The fight went back and forth all 5 rounds, but Conor eked out the win.

Niall Horan from One Direction -- a fellow Irishman who predicted Conor would win by submission in the 3rd -- showed up for the bash with his GF. Conor's girlfriend, Dee Devlin, was also front and center.
