What if we told you there was a full-contact tackle football league where ex and future professional players break each other off viciously WITH NO HELMETS? Crazy, right?

Crazy enough to be damn true ... it's called A7FL ... a 7-on-7 pigskin league with absolutely zero safety equipment protecting the players from demolishing each other.

We spoke to A7FL's CEO and co-founder, Sean Korkusuz, who says the 2-year-old organization is starting to pick up steam.

"The response we have been getting since we have been doing this has been tremendous," Korkusuz says.

As far as the players ... Sean says there's athletes of all talent levels who play in the A7FL right now ... and some of them have left to pursue careers in the softer, less hardcore league.

"Daryl Virgies is a guy who came through our league then went to a small college in Virginia, he just had his NFL pro day in the last few months."

As far as the safety of the players, competing in such a brutal game with no protection ... Sean had only one thing to say.

"All athletes sign a player injury waiver and all athletes must be 18 or older."

Robert Griffin III's marriage is just about over ... the NFL star has separated from his wife and the two are in the process of filing for a divorce ... this according to Cleveland.com.

Zac Efron stuck his landing in Rio, and immediately hooked up with Simone Biles ... moments after she nailed down her 4th gold medal.

The timing is no accident -- Simone crushed hard on Zac and the two exchanged some flirty tweets after The Final Five won gold in the team competition. Next thing ya know, BOOM ... Zac's flying south, and getting a smooch from Simone on the 'Today' set.

It's a good guess NBC paid for Zac's first class ticket to Rio.

But his transition into broadcasting doesn't mean he's closed the door on a return to the sidelines -- telling us he still loves coaching and would consider reigniting his career.

Shaun White says he DID send a bunch of sexually explicit texts to the female drummer of his band -- but says the two were friends at the time ... and her allegations of sexual harassment are bogus.

We broke the story ... Lena Zawaideh is suing White -- claiming he bombarded her with inappropriate text messages during her 7 year stint in their band, Bad Things.

She claims some of the texts included photos of male genitals, female nudity and other graphic images.

White is now responding to the allegations with a statement issued through his attorney, Kerry Garvis Wright.

"Many years ago, I exchanged texts with a friend who is now using them to craft a bogus lawsuit."

"There is absolutely no coincidence to the timing of her claims, and we will defend them vigorously in court."

Gabi Garcia ... the female MMA phenom so scary she couldn't find anyone to fight her ... has found a woman brave enough to take the (crazy) challenge and it's an equally terrifying ex-pro football player.

The woman is Destanie Yarbrough ... an MMA fighter who turned pro back in April and won her first fight ... she's also a BEAST in women's pro football ... with an INSANE YouTube highlight reel.

It's going down September 25th in the Japanese RIZIN Fighting Federation ... and it should be a relief to Gabi, who's so frustrated with the lack of female opponents ... she told us she might try men.

We're glad it didn't come to that ... for the guys' sake.

Funny moment in the Aaron Hernandez court hearing ... well, as hilarious of a moment as you can get in a double murder case.

Moments after the hearing began, the lawyers in the case went around the room introducing themselves and saying who they represent.

Aaron's famous lawyer, Jose Baez, said he was in court "on behalf of Aaron Rodriguez."

Oopsies.

12:35 PM PT -- Shaun has issued a statement vigorously denying the allegations.

The female drummer in Shaun White's rock band is doubling down in her lawsuit against the X Games star -- claiming he sexually harassed her for years ... and she has the text messages to prove it.

We broke the story ... White is being sued by Lena Zawaideh -- who formed the band Bad Things with White back in 2008. She was fired shortly after the end of their 2014 tour. She claims she hasn't been paid for some of her work.

In new court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Zawaideh claims she was subjected to the "darker, misogynistic personality" of White during her 7 years in the band.

Among the allegations, Zawaideh claims White sent her sexually explicit and graphic images of "engorged and erect penises" and forced her to watch sexually disturbing videos "including videos sexualizing human fecal matter."

One of the videos Zawaideh claims she was forced to watch was a couple killing a bear and then having sex on top of it.

She also claims White forced her to watch "Church of Fudge" -- a hardcore porn "involving a priest, a nun and fecal matter."

At one point, Zawaideh claims White stuck his hands down his pants, approached Zawaideh, and then "stuck his hands in her face trying to make her smell them."

She also claims he tried to kiss her on the mouth at a Halloween party in 2010 -- but she shut him down.

In her suit, filed by attorney Lawrance Bohm, Zawaideh claims White ran the band like a tyrant -- ordering her to cut her hair and wear sexually provocative outfits, despite her protests.

Now that retired Peyton Manning's got all that free time on his hands, his brother, Eli, says he has NO EXCUSE to miss a NY Giants game ... and wants a post-game recap from Peyton to prove he watched!

Eli Manning called into "The Dan Patrick Show" and said he knows Peyton will be traveling a lot during football season -- but says he still expects full brotherly support.

"He'll definitely be watching the Giants games," Eli said ... "There's no reason he won't. I know he has DirecTV. I know he has the NFL Sunday Ticket."

Eli says he's informed Peyton about the schedule and how to watch games on the road (live streaming to phone) ... and demands a "full recap and maybe an essay about what he thought about each [game] to make sure he's watching."

Antonio Cromartie's wife says her husband went out and fathered 13 kids because of the lack of love from his own mother.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Antonio is evicting his mom from the home he bought her in 2007 because she refuses to make the monthly mortgage payments, per the agreement Antonio claims they made.

But Antonio's wife, Terricka Cromartie, says there's a bigger issue -- claiming Antonio's mom simply doesn't like her ... and she's taking it out on Antonio's family.

"You can dislike me his wife as much as you want but look at what you are doing to your child," Terricka wrote in a statement posted to social media.

"This is why my husband prolly fathered so many kids because the lack of love from you."

Terricka says Antonio's mother has the money to pay for the home -- but instead she's stiffing the bank and ruining Antonio's credit in the process.

The man who invaded the WWE ring Monday night during a taping of 'RAW' pulled a Mike Tyson -- allegedly BITING one of the security guards who took him down ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The fan, 23-year-old Edward Ferrero, stormed the ring while Seth Rollins was inside addressing the crowd ... you know, doing his smack talk thing.

Security told the Corpus Christi Police ... the fan jumped a gated area and when he made contact with security, he BIT ONE OF THE GUARDS ON THE FOREARM!!!

Thankfully, cops say the security guard did not require medical attention. Ferrero was eventually arrested for assault and criminal trespass.

As for Rollins -- he wasn't touched, thanks to the bad ass security guards.

It was a flop gone wrong for Japanese pole vaulter Hiroki Ogita -- when he ALMOST cleared the bar during a jump in Rio ... if not for his meddling penis.

While Ogita was midway through his jump on Saturday, his pocket Olympian got loose ... and unleashed his fleshy fury all over the bar ... knocking it off the stand.

Yeah, Adele would've been great but since she's out, it's high time the Super Bowl halftime show go full country -- according to country music legend Tanya Tucker.

Tucker performed at the SB in 1994 along with Travis Tritt, Clint Black and The Judds -- but other than Shania Twain in 2003, it's been all pop and ancient classic rock artists. We got TT in NYC and she broke it down real quick -- there's one artist who'd be perfect for such a big stage. And no, she's not ruling out a duet either.

BTW, if you forgot that '94 halftime, it's probably 'cause the game was a joke ... Cowboys beat the Bills for the 2nd straight year.

Don't blame country ...

Convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez is expected to appear in court Tuesday -- where a judge is hoping to set a trial date for the double murder the ex-NFL star is accused of carrying out in 2012.

Hernandez is currently serving a life sentence for the 2013 slaying of Odin Lloyd -- but he's also accused of gunning down 2 men in a drive-by shooting after leaving a nightclub in Boston.

Prosecutors say Hernandez killed the men because one of them spilled a drink on him inside the club.

The 26-year-old ex-New England Patriots star is scheduled to appear in Suffolk Superior Court for a status hearing and the judge has said he hopes to set a start date for the trial.
