TMZ Sports talked to hot dog eating champion Joey Chestnut less than a week after his dominating 70 dog performance at the Nathan's Famous competition on July 4th in NYC ... and the legendary competitive eater is still in "celebration mode."

Chestnut was at the airport on his way to a bachelor party in San Diego ... before hittin' Vegas later tonight.

On the Las Vegas agenda ... judging a bikini contest and some hardcore post-fight partying.

Oh yeah, Joey's also competing against rival Matt Stonie in the Hooter's wing eating competition on Monday ... but not before "BLACKOUT CHESTNUT" makes a cameo.

Jay Z and Beyonce had one of the best seats in the house for Serena Williams' record-tying W at Wimbledon.

Williams took down Angelique Kerber Saturday on the grass to take her 22nd Grand Slam singles title ... tying Steffi Graf for most all time. Jay and B were in good company, sitting with Venus Williams and the rest of Serena's family.

Ellen DeGeneres, Portia DiRossi, Vera Wang and Natatlie Portman were there too.

Serena and Beyonce are known to be tight -- with Williams recently appearing in the singer's "Lemonade" video -- but judging by the pic, Jay Z might be the bigger fan.

Lamar Odom just filed his response to Khloe Kardashian's divorce petition ... and it shows the exes are lockstep when it comes to this breakup.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, Lamar lists the exact same date of separation as Khloe did -- December 13, 2013. Ditto for court's ability to award spousal support to the other. As we reported, our sources say they have a prenup.

They even agree each will pay for their own attorneys, a rarity in Hollywood divorces.

2x U.S. Olympic star Jamie Nieto is home from the hospital and walking with some assistance less than 3 months after a NEAR-DEATH injury ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, Nieto landed on his head during a training session on April 23rd ... and suffered MAJOR DAMAGE to his back. He lost feeling in his arms and legs ... and was unable to move.

But only 2 1/2 months after the injury, Nieto's manager, Paul Doyle, says his client has miraculously recovered ... so much that he's been sent home from the hospital ... and is WALKING with a walker.

How'd he bounce back? Intense rehab, Doyle says. "He's been treating recovery like a true Olympian."

Probably never be the same though, right? Wrong. Doyle says Nieto expects he'll be on his feet, walking by himself in no time.

NFL great LaDainian Tomlinson -- who lives in the Dallas area -- says the assassination of police officers and the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile should serve as a wake-up call to superstar athletes.

TMZ Sports got LT'S reaction to the violence that erupted in his home state, and he was deeply concerned about the future for his son. As for solutions to the issues -- he talked about why more athletes don't use their public platform to speak out.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union say they're totally ready to take their talents to Chi-town ... maybe ... with the two claiming there's a little work to be done before they're windy city ready.

Melo says the answer isn't in marches or posts on social media ... "we tried that."

Anthony admits he doesn't have the solution ... but called on "all my fellow ATHLETES to step up and take charge" ... by demanding change of politicians and community leaders.

Nick Young got a visit from his buddy Gilbert Arenas, who was ready to celebrate Nick's new single life -- but also cracked an O.J. Simpson joke about killing Nick's baby mama, Keonna Green.

Here's VIDEO of the moment Dana White broke the news to Daniel Cormier about the Jon Jones fight ... and DC is clearly CRUSHED.

The exchange was captured backstage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Wednesday night around 8 PM by a UFC camera crew filming for the "Embedded" vlog series.

White told Cormier, "Jones tested positive." Cormier immediately slammed his foot on the ground ... before saying, "I trained so hard."

Dana consoled Cormier ... patting his back, saying, "F***, I'm so sorry."

Cormier asks Dana if there's any way to go forward with the fight, saying, "I'll sign a release."

Nick Young's got a cold, hard fact for his baby mama -- Swaggy P's single and completely unattached, even though he knocked her up a second time.

Sources close to the NBA star tell TMZ Sports ... Nick and his ex, Keonna Green, are NOT back together. If you'll recall ... Keonna told US Weekly she wasn't apologizing "for being in love with a man who I have a lot of history with." It appears that's exactly where Nick wants to keep it -- in the history books.

We're told Nick's living it up in the single lane and wants to keep it that way so he can concentrate on the upcoming NBA season. Nick's living alone in the house he used to share with Iggy. Keonna's NOT living there.

As for Iggy'z one-finger salute the other day ... Nick's not trippin.
