NBA's Glen 'Big Baby' Davis I Knew Alton Sterling 'He Wouldn't Hurt A Fly'
NBA player Glen "Big Baby" Davis says he knew Alton Sterling -- the man killed on video by police in Baton Rouge -- and tells TMZ Sports he was a "Great guy" who "wouldn't hurt a fly."
Davis -- who grew up in Baton Rouge -- met "Big Alton" years ago and would sometimes give him CDs to sell to help promote Davis' music. Davis says it wasn't just promotion, but it was a way to help Alton make a living for his family.
Davis says the two got to know each other -- and he has nothing but glowing words for the 37-year-old.
"Great guy, big personality. CDs were his way to make income to support his family. Not a guy who would use violence at all."
Sterling's shooting has reignited the national conversation about police brutality, and with protests in Baton Rouge threatening to spiral out of control ... Davis urged athletes from the area to get involved to help keep the peace.
"People from the city who have a voice should speak up. I'm sure Mayor Kip Holden and those guys are taking good care of things, but it's important for people who come from there to show love."

We broke the story ... Nick's baby mama, Keonna Green, shopped around and sold her story as the alleged "other woman" reportedly pregnant with Nick's second child ... while Nick and Iggy were still together.
Iggy's lawyer legal eagle, Howard King, didn't mince words in a letter they fired off to Keonna's lawyers, warning them, "Ms. Green has done enough to embarrass herself by her pathetic efforts to profit from Iggy's hard-won celebrity, all in exchange for whatever paltry sums she can garner in exchange for peddling tales of her tasteless exploits."
The letter goes on ... "Any mention of Iggy in your client's efforts to sell a story to whatever tabloid needs to fill its pages with the fetid story of your client's classless antics will be considered a violation of Iggy's rights of publicity ... subjecting Ms. Green and any publication that airs your client's soiled laundry to significant liability."
If she is pregnant, we're guessing no baby present from Iggy.

NFL's Denard Robinson Escapes from Car Sinking In Pond ... ''Asleep Behind Wheel'
Cops in Jacksonville say Jaguars running back Denard Robinson had to climb out of a window of a car that was sinking in a pond this weekend ... after the 25-year-old fell asleep behind the wheel.
According to the police report, obtained by FOX 30, Robinson's Chevy Impala had gone down an embankment and into a retention pond around 4:20 AM on July 3rd ... and was slowly sinking.
When officers arrived on scene, they saw a passed out Robinson in the driver's seat and a female passenger next to him. The driver's side door was submerged in the water.
An officer knocked on the door -- but Robinson opened his eyes and then went back to sleep.
The responding officer explained ... "I continued to knock on the window until the passenger woke up and rolled the window down and said, 'What's up.'"
"I explained that their vehicle was in a pond and that they needed to exit," the officer wrote in the report.
Despite the sinking situation, the officer says the woman REFUSED to exit the car and had to be physically pulled to safety.
The cop says he was able to unlock the car -- and went back for Robinson.
Problem is ... Robinson believed he was on the road and refused to step out of the vehicle.
Eventually, Robinson realized the situation -- but the drama continued.
"The driver tried about three times to open the driver’s door which was the side that was underwater. I had to keep reminding the driver to climb out of the passenger side because his door was in the water."
Robinson got out -- and officers immediately checked him out to see if he was drunk or high ... but cops concluded he was NOT impaired.
The Jaguars issued a statement on the matter -- saying, "The team is aware that running back Denard Robinson was involved in a single-car accident over the weekend and is thankful that nobody was injured."

OKC Mayor Kevin Durant Got Bad Advice 'I Suspect It Won't Work Out'

We spoke with Mayor Mick Cornett -- a huge sports fan who also used to be a sports anchor -- who tells us he loves KD as a person, but believes the move to Golden State is a mistake.
