Eddie George is trying to get on Bruce Lee's level ... 'cause he's mastereing the "2-inch punch" -- and tested it out on a TMZ photog!

Here's the backstory ... George got an MMA tutorial from Herschel Walker in between takes at a "Heisman House" commercial shoot earlier this week.

Walker worked on the technique with George ... and he was all excited to try it out when our photog inquired about it at LAX.

The man who contacted USC claiming he had the school's copy of O.J. Simpson's Heisman Trophy has been sentenced in the missing Heisman caper ... and will NOT do any jail time.

The story is bizarre ... Lewis Starks had claimed he bartered for the trophy after it was stolen from Heritage Hall at USC back in 1994.

(FYI, both the player and the school get a trophy to display. O.J.'s trophy was reportedly purchased by a private collector in 1999.)

Starks was adamant he was NOT the guy who broke the case and made off with the statue -- but says he later traded it in exchange for a Honda Accord and $500 cash.

He contacted USC about the trophy in 2014 -- which sparked a police investigation. He was later charged with receiving stolen property.

Now, we've learned he copped a deal with prosecutors -- pleading no contest to receiving stolen property ... and in exchange he was sentenced to 3 years probation.

Keonna Green is pregnant again with Nick's kid, if you believe some of the stories that have been posted. It's unclear if she's one of the women allegedly skulking into and out of the home Nick shared with Iggy, but apparently she will talk about it ... for a price.

Green hired a lawyer to shop her story, and someone bit and apparently bit hard.

Any media outlet interested in getting Green's story gets this back from her lawyer ... "Due to an exclusive deal with another media outlet, Keonna and I cannot comment on the validity of any of the [allegations]."

Might seem moot ... but Johnny Manziel will be suspended the first 4 games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy ... league sources tell TMZ Sports.

Jon Jones admits he's done some "bad things" -- but doesn't consider himself a bad person -- and tells TMZ Sports he's definitely learned from his mistakes.

Jon's issues are no secret ... he's been arrested several times, struggled with drugs and alcohol and recently cussed out a police officer during a stop in New Mexico.

When we asked Dana White about Jon's situation, he told us ... "Jon tried so hard to play the good guy for so long it drove him crazy ... and Jon is just gonna be Jon now."

So, when we saw Jon this week ... we asked if that meant he was embracing his role as a bad guy -- and JJ told us ... he's NOT a bad guy.

"I don't consider myself to be a bad guy," Jon said ... "I've done some bad things but I strive to be a good person."

Don't count Johnny Manziel out just yet ... 'cause there's at least one person who believes the QB could still salvage his NFL career.

We spoke with ex-NFL quarterback Chris Simms -- son of Phil Simms -- who says Manziel might not have a shot in hell of making a roster in 2016 ... but if he's serious about a comeback, he might have a chance next year.

It's a big "if" ... but Chris says it's still possible -- and lays out the steps Manziel will have to take.

Hint -- staying sober is a HUGE part of the plan.

Joey Chestnut says he's been training like Rocky in the "Rocky IV" montage -- killing himself to get his 4th of July hot dog eating title back ... and says he's in the BEST eating shape of his life!!!!

Richard Jefferson says he's definitely NOT hangin' 'em up -- telling TMZ Sports he has no plans to retire and wants to ball for "a couple more years."

The 36-year-old Cleveland Cavs star initially announced his retirement in the locker room -- right after his squad beat the Golden State Warriors to win the NBA championship.

But he's been walkin' that statement back ever since -- and Wednesday at The Solution (an IV hydration spa in L.A.) he told us pretty definitely "I'm not retiring."

The eye in the sky don't lie ... so says Iggy Azalea who claims Nick Young cheated on her in THEIR HOUSE ... and she caught the whole thing on video.

Iggy went on social media -- claiming she has no idea if reports that Nick impregnated his other lady (said to be his previous baby mama) are true -- but says her NBA ex-fiance was definitely messin' around.

"I have never even been told by nick that his baby mother is pregnant," Iggy wrote before dropping the hammer.

"I broke up with Nick because I found out he had brought other women into our home while I was away and caught them on the security footage."

"This is just like a second shot to the chest. And I feel like I don't even know who the hell it is I've been loving all this time."

"People in this world are really f***** up."

Earlier this week, Nick was joking about the situation ... telling TMZ Sports he "lost" the engagement ring so he could collect the insurance money.

Eric Dickerson says there's NO WAY Freddie Gibbs -- the rap star engaged to his daughter -- is guilty of raping a woman in Austria ... telling TMZ Sports he "supports Freddie 100%."

Gibbs was arrested earlier this month -- after two women reportedly claimed the rapper and his security agent drugged them after a 2015 show in Austria and raped them at Gibbs' hotel.

For his part, Gibbs has adamantly denied any wrongdoing and has vowed to fight the charges.

FYI, Freddie is a big name in rap -- having formerly been signed to Young Jeezy's CTE World record label, and been featured on songs with the likes of Gucci Mane, Action Bronson and E-40.

Gibbs popped the question to Dickerson's daughter, Erica, last March ... so we contacted ED to ask how his family is handling the situation.

"I don’t know too much about the specifics of the situation," Dickerson told TMZ Sports ... "but I do know Freddie and I know his character ... I believe him."

"I talked to Erica (his daughter) and she said that she knows Freddie and knows that he would never be capable of doing something like that."

Dickerson says he's also been in contact with Freddie -- and offered up some advice on how to handle the situation.

"When I talked to Freddie, I told him the main focus is to stay positive. He told me 'I will fight this the whole way. I don’t want to go through this without clearing my name 100%.'"

Kyrie Irving says allegations that his yacht party was a "No Black Girls Allowed" event is complete BS -- calling the rumors complete "nonsense."

The Cleveland Cavs star came under fire from social media trolls who saw the footage of Kyrie on a boat with a bunch of women ... many of whom were white.

Now, Kyrie is firing back at the critics -- saying, "I'd never think I would have to address something as ridiculous as a yacht party, but I wasn't raised to discriminate against any race let alone any race of women, especially my own."

"I was raised by the black women in my family and for me to be connected to some nonsense like a 'No black girls allowed' party is embarrassing and an inaccurate portrayal of who and what I represent as man."

Irving apologized to the people who were offended without knowing the facts -- but says, "that story has no truth to it and I wanted to clear the air on all of this B.S."

NBA rookie Demetrius Jackson has gone next level with his wardrobe personalization -- ordering up a sick custom jacket ... WITH HIS OWN FACE INSIDE IT!!

The Boston Celtics rook -- 45th pick in the draft -- hit up Ge Wang at ESQ Clothing and asked for 3 unique jackets. Wang delivered ... with custom lining made specifically for Jackson.

The first jacket featured DJ in his Notre Dame jersey. The second was a tribute to his dog, Obi. The third was ND's famous Golden Dome building.

We spoke with Wang ... who told us, "Demetrius didn't specifically say what to put on them. We tried to surprise him a bit. He's very passionate about his upbringing and his puppy, so we went that route.”

Wang wouldn't say how much DJ paid for his handmade threads -- but said his stuff usually runs about $2k per suit plus another $500 for custom lining.
