TMZ Sports spoke with Alexander Rossi -- who took the checkered flag at the most iconic American car race of the year -- and he makes a pretty good case about why he deserves a call from POTUS.

"That's the most American thing we coulda done," Rossi says ... "100th running of the Indy 500 in Indianapolis? American won? I think that's pretty cool."

"So, Mr. President ... I'll be waiting."

Denver Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer called police to report that his GF had attacked him during a domestic dispute Monday night -- but when cops arrived, he ended up in cuffs too.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Dept. says the 23-year-old Super Bowl champ called police to report that his GF had "put her hands on him."

When cops arrived to the scene, they ran both Latimer's and his GF's names through the system, per standard operating procedure -- and noticed a warrant out for Cody stemming from an old traffic violation.

The GF was arrested for assault and disturbing the peace. Latimer was arrested for the outstanding warrant (a failure to appear over a traffic ticket).

To be clear, Latimer was NOT accused of domestic violence.

Sacramento Kings point guard Darren Collison was arrested for domestic violence over the weekend in an incident involving his wife ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office says a woman called cops at 2 AM on May 30th to report that she was being assaulted inside the home.

When cops arrived, "deputies found that the woman had visible injuries and they arrested Darren Collison, 29, on a charge of domestic violence."

During the arrest, cops noticed Collison had 2 misdemeanor warrants stemming from an unrelated driving on a suspended license case. He was released from jail at 9 AM Monday.

The Kings have issued a statement saying they're aware of the situation -- and added, "The Sacramento Kings condemn violence of any kind. We are gathering additional information and once all facts are known we will take appropriate steps."

David Beckham's perfect face stirred up a New York City crowd so much, a security guard working the event got crushed by his adoring fans ... according to a lawsuit.

The security guard filed the suit, saying she got crushed while working the Beckham appearance at the Times Square H&M store in February 2014. Beckham -- an H&M spokesperson -- was signing autographs for throngs of fans.

She says she was outside the store awaiting the soccer superstar's arrival, and when he got there ... all hell broke loose. In the suit, she says the barricades set up to control the crowd "suddenly malfunctioned." She says she was thrown to the ground, crushed by the barricade and trampled by the crowd rushing to get a piece of Becks.

She doesn't specify her injuries, but says they were severe.

The security guard is suing H&M and The Durst Organization -- as in Robert Durst ... the alleged murderer from 'The Jinx' on HBO.

Ex-NFL lineman Will Smith was reportedly driving with a blood alcohol level 3 times the legal limit when he was shot and killed last month in New Orleans.

The Times-Picayune says Smith's BAC was 0.24 the night he was shot to death ... according to its sources.

Smith was fatally gunned down and his wife, Racquel, was shot in both legs following a road rage argument with Cardell Hayes. The couple had been on their way home from dinner when they got into a fender bender with Hayes, who says he shot Smith in self-defense.

Forget about James Harden and Lamar ... seems like Khloe Kardashian has already moved on to her next baller -- NFL superstar Odell Beckham Jr.

TMZ Sports obtained pics of the two getting super close at Drake's pool party in Hidden Hills on Memorial Day ... with Khloe droppin' her big ol' butt right on top of the NY Giants superstar.

The pics were taken around midnight -- and our sources inside the party tell us KK and OBJ were "definitely into each other" and "looked like a couple."

By the way, in case there was any doubt the woman in the pics is Khloe -- we found video of KK wearing the same exact dress and Yeezy shoes at a different pool party earlier that day.

More verbal diarrhea from boxing champ Tyson Fury ... this time he's threatening to sexually assault heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder if the two ever step in the ring.

The homophobic, sexist, anti-semite was talking with iFLTV about possible fights with WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder and IBF heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua when things got vulgar. (starts around 3:40)

"I don't want their belts, but I'll let 'em fight me," Fury said ... "I'll bend 'em over and BOOM -- split them down the middle with this long d***."

He then specifically went after Wilder ... saying, "Wilder's my man, 'til I get hold of him. Then he's gonna be my bitch."

The two rappers signed to Floyd Mayweather's TMT music group are getting special mentoring sessions from some of the biggest stars in music ... including Future, Bieber and more, TMZ Sports has learned.

Floyd created his rap label last year -- signing Lil Jamez and Jay Bling. He's been showcasing them around the country ever since -- and this weekend, he hit the stage with the guys at Hard Rock Live in Vegas (video above).

“Floyd is a music head. He gets us in the studio and flies us from city to city," Jay Bling tells us.

"He also lines up artists to work with us and talk to us like Future, Game, The Weeknd, Flo Rida, Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross ... but it’s not forced it's a natural feel."

So, who's made the biggest impact? Lil Jamez says Bieber has been particularly helpful.

"Bieber is an amazing person. He just keeps telling me to live life and make music ... and just be consistent with my music.”

The UFC fighter who's scheduled to take on Holly Holm in July miraculously escaped injury in a violent shootout in Peru ... though her trainer was shot while exchanging gunfire with the bad guys.

The woman caught in the crossfire is Valentina Shevchenko -- who was reportedly dining at a restaurant in Lima when three gun-toting men in motorcycle helmets came in to rob the place.

Here's further proof Shaq will do just about anything to put a smile on your face ... donning a curly wig and doing some serious gettin' it for this week's episode of "Lip Sync Battle."

Shaq is taking on Aisha Tyler for the crown this Thursday -- and decided to recreate Jennifer Beals' iconic "Flashdance" scene for the win.

We get it, Bette likes to post zingers on Twitter. But based on some quick Google searching, it doesn't appear the two are friends ... so, it seems like it's kind of an out of the blue crack.

So far, no response from Jeter -- unlike Kim Kardashian who took Bette to task when she was in Midler's Twitter crosshairs earlier this year.

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his championship the same way he won it -- very, very shirtless ... except now he's on a yacht.

The soccer star -- fresh off scoring the decisive penalty kick to give Real Madrid its 11th UEFA Champions League title -- was hanging with friends Sunday catching rays and a dip off the coast in Ibiza, Spain.

Johnny Manziel says he's "hashing it out" with the owner of a NY luxury car rental company who ambushed him in the street Friday night ... but says the guy "shouldn't have come at me like that."

The ambush went down on Friday -- when Wayne (the owner of Precision Concierge) tracked down the QB and confronted him over an expensive Mercedes he allegedly rented and then wrecked in L.A.

Wayne told TMZ Sports ... Manziel had promised to pay for the wrecked ride -- but never did. So, Wayne found him in Manhattan on Friday and tried to get answers right from Johnny himself.

Fast forward to Monday night ... Johnny says the two sides are talking, but he's clearly not happy with the way things went down.
