Vin Scully On All-Star Game 'Just Didn't Want to Do It'
Legendary Dodgers announcer Vin Scully has a very simple explanation about why he passed on calling the All-Star game in San Diego in July ... telling TMZ Sports, "I just didn't want to."
It's as simple as that.
Scully was reportedly approached by a Fox Sports executive recently and essentially offered anything he wanted to make it happen -- whether it was calling the whole game, 1 inning or just being a guest in the booth. But Vin respectfully declined the invitation.
So, when we saw him out in Bev Hills Thursday, we asked him about it.
FYI, Vin's been calling Dodgers games for 67 seasons -- he can do whatever he wants.

Khloe Kardashian Files for Divorce ... Again
Khloe Kardashian has just gone to court a second time to end her marriage to Lamar Odom ... TMZ has learned.
Khloe, with the help of attorney Laura Wasser, filed for divorce Thursday, claiming -- as she did the first time -- irreconcilable differences. Our sources say there is a prenup and the 2 worked out a property settlement the first time around, so now it's just a waiting game. In California, a divorce cannot become final until 6 months after it's filed.
We're told the divorce is amicable ... Khloe and Lamar are on good terms and he was given a heads-up she was filing. In the docs, Khloe does say she wants to legally drop the Odom name and go back to her maiden handle.
TMZ broke the story ... Khloe filed for divorce the first time in December 2013, and the paperwork just sat in the courthouse as she tried to salvage her marriage. When Lamar OD'd at a Nevada brothel last October Khloe dismissed her divorce petition ... just weeks before the divorce was to become final.
She says it was never about getting back with Lamar ... she just didn't want to upset him while he was recovering. But the final straw came in March when Khloe saw pics on TMZ that Lamar was drinking again.

MLB Investigators Padres Gay Chorus Incident 'Human Error'
MLB investigators have determined there was NO malicious intent to cut the mics on the Gay Men's Chorus before the Padres game last weekend ... chalking the whole thing up to "human error."
The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus was supposed to perform the National Anthem before Saturday's game -- but when they began to sing, a woman's voice came over the P.A. system and drowned them out.
MLB investigated to see if foul play was involved ... but officials say the whole thing was just one big accidental screw-up.
In fact, investigators point out -- "the situation was exacerbated by the fact that the lead entertainment supervisor was involved in a car accident on Friday night and thus was unable to work on Saturday."
The staffers who covered for the injured supervisor "were insufficiently familiar" with their duties and screwed up -- but "employees involved had no malicious intentions."
MLB says the staffers have "universally relayed contrition for how the incident unfolded and the adverse impression that it created."
The Padres have not only apologized to the chorus -- but have also invited the chorus to come back and perform at another game.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Koa Misi raised hell at a Florida nightclub -- knocking down a clubgoer with a massive strike to the head ... before trying to run from the scene, this according to the police report obtained by TMZ Sports.
The report was filed by a Ft. Lauderdale police officer -- who says he was working a detail at Cyn Nightclub around 3:41 AM on Sunday morning when he witnessed Misi and some friends get into an altercation with another group.
FYI, Misi is in the middle of a 4-year $17 MILLION contract.
The cop says it appeared as if the parties were going to separate and leave -- but "Misi and other members of his group charged toward the nightclub entrance [at the other group]."
The cop says "I witnessed Misi strike [the victim] in the head, causing him to fall to the ground."
Then it gets crazier ...
The cop says, he was able to "force" the 6'4", 250 lb linebacker to the ground and told him to sit in place while he tended to the victim.
But Misi allegedly blew off the officer's orders and tried to run ... that is, until super cop "executed a leg sweep to bring him to the ground."
MISI GOT COBRA KAI'D!!!!!
The officer says several of Misi's friends tried to pull him away and help him escape -- but the cop was able to fight them off until additional cops came and helped him handcuff Misi.
The victim was loaded up into an ambulance -- but told cops he did NOT want to press charges.
Misi was detained but not arrested. He was released on scene and so far, no charges have been filed.

Baylor School Officials 'Retaliated' Against Sexual Assault Accuser
This is disgusting ...
Baylor University officials actively discouraged possible sexual assault victims from reporting incidents against athletes -- and in one case RETALIATED against a woman who did.
It's all part of an investigation by a law firm hired by Baylor to look into alleged misconduct by school officials regarding SEVERAL violent allegations against student athletes, primarily football players.
The report states clear as day ... investigators say University administrators directly discouraged complainants from reporting or participating in student conduct processes ... contributing to a hostile environment.
Baylor Football Head Coach Fired Alleged Mishandling of Player Rape Accusations
Baylor football head coach Art Briles has been fired -- in the midst of allegations that several of his football players were accused of sexual assault on his watch ... but essentially no action was taken by the school.
Baylor president Ken Starr has also been removed from his position -- and will instead serve as Chancellor "on terms that are still being discussed."
Additional members of the administration and athletics program have also been dismissed.
The school issued a statement saying an investigation by an independent law firm "revealed a lack of strong institutional management and control on a number of levels."
ESPN's "Outside the Lines" had reported that several Baylor officials, including coaches, knew about violent allegations against football players -- but essentially did nothing. ESPN points out that most of the accused players didn't miss a single second of playing time.
“We were horrified by the extent of these acts of sexual violence on our campus," said Richard Willis, chair of the Baylor Board of Regents.
"This investigation revealed the University's mishandling of reports in what should have been a supportive, responsive and caring environment for students."
The law firm, Pepper Hamilton, found "specific failings within both the football program and Athletics Department leadership, including a failure to identify and respond to a pattern of sexual violence by a football player, to take action in response to reports of a sexual assault by multiple football players, and to take action in response to a report of dating violence."
"Pepper’s findings also reflect significant concerns about the tone and culture within Baylor’s football program as it relates to accountability for all forms of athlete misconduct."
Briles took the job in 2008 and led the Bears to BCS bowl games in 2013 and 2014.

Toronto head coach Dwane Casey played down the alleged casino run when asked about it after the game. "This isn’t why we lost ... This is the NBA, they’re grown men."
