Rougned Odor's fist of fury is making waves over in the UFC ... where welterweight bad ass Alan Jouban was praising the Texas Rangers star for the clean shot he delivered over the weekend.

Jouban -- who's a Versace model when he's not fighting (hence the killer good looks) -- says non-combat sport athletes like baseball, soccer and basketball players usually SUCK at fighting ... but Odor proved everyone wrong!

In fact, Jouban says he "kind of set the bar for the rest of the combat sports world."

Jouban also praised Jose Bautista's chin (dude took the shot and didn't go down) ... but says in the future, it's probably smarter to NOT get blasted in the face like that.

Beer Mile Champ Strikes Intoxicating 6-Figure Deal ... Beers On Me!

The endorsements are rolling in for the greatest Beer Mile runner in the world ... who just signed his 2nd major deal in less than a year, TMZ Sports has learned.

The beer god is 22-year-old Lewis Kent -- the reigning Beer Mile world champ who set the world record last year with a time of 4:47 (that includes pounding 4 beers!).

Last year, he became the 1st ever chug-and-runner to land a sponsor -- striking a deal with Brooks running ... and now, he's racked up deal #2.

We spoke with Kent's agent, Kristopher Mychasiw, who tells us ... Kent just inked a 2-year contract to be the face of the National Beer Mile Circuit. While he wouldn't disclose exact numbers, we're told the deal is north of $100k.

Mychasiw says the contract numbers are similar to the Brooks deal.

It's an important deal in the world of Beer Mile running -- 'cause it shows the athletes that you can make real money if you're at the top of the game.

In fact, Mychasiw says some of the elite runners he represents are considering joining the Beer Mile craze -- because they feel there's real opportunity to expand their brands and make some extra coin.

As for Kent -- who's becoming so popular he was even featured on "Ellen" -- he's graduating from college next month and we're told he will become a full time Beer Mile runner.

New UFC Champ Stipe Miocic VIP Invite from Cavs ... After Post-Fight Shout-Out

The Cleveland Cavs just extended a VIP invitation to the new UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic -- an Ohio native who shouted out the NBA team after winning the belt at UFC 198 this past weekend.

TMZ Sports spoke with the Cavs who told us ... they saw the video of Stipe encouraging the Cavs to follow his lead and win the championship -- and they LOVED IT!

In fact, we're told the team reached out and invited him as their guest for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals Tuesday night at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Miocic accepted -- obviously -- and we're told the team plans to honor him tonight for making Cleveland proud.

John Cena says he's making insane progress in the gym since undergoing shoulder surgery back in January ... telling TMZ Sports he's at 70% ... but vows to be back at full strength VERY soon.

The WWE superstar was out in NYC with his girlfriend, Nikki Bella, when he told us he's been putting in serious physical therapy work in hopes of a full recovery.

"I'm probably 30% off of what I was operating at November 2015 ... but being at 70% is still pretty damn good."

He also gave a shout-out to his strength trainer -- Rob MacIntyre at Hard Nocks South ... the same guy who pushed him to bust out a 481 POUND BENCH PRESS back in the day.

Ex-Titans LB Keith Bulluck Convicted in DUI Case

Ex-Tennessee Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck has struck a plea deal in his DUI case ... stemming from a February arrest, when the 39-year-old smashed his car into a light pole.

As we previously reported, Bulluck -- who was nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015 -- was busted in Nashville on Feb. 23rd when cops responded to the crash scene around 3 AM and realized Keith was bombed.

Bulluck appeared in court early Tuesday morning -- where he pled guilty to reckless endangerment and, in exchange, he was sentenced to 1 year probation and ordered to pay court fines.

Cops never said if Bulluck was injured in the wreck -- but he's been traveling around the world and recently joked about wanting to fight Conor McGregor ... so we're guessing he's okay.

Drew Brees continues to show what a sensational human being he is ... this time surprising a special needs kid in Shreveport, Louisiana ... and totally bringing the brave little tyke to tears.

Brees was in town for a speaking engagement when he stopped into Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar -- a restaurant he co-owns -- and was told there was a huge Saints fan in the building.

The fan -- 10-year-old Hunter Glass -- is battling cerebral palsy and was completely overcome with emotion when he came face-to-face with his idol ... you gotta see it.

Gary Payton wants to bring the NBA back to Seattle -- and he's willing to put his money where his mouth is ... telling TMZ Sports he absolutely wants to be an owner of an expansion team in the Emerald City.

The Hall of Famer was leaving Mastro's Steakhouse in Bev Hills when he told us Seattle "deserves" the NBA -- and put it on NBA commish Adam Silver to make it happen.

As for why GP's so passionate about Seattle -- "That's where I started my career, that's where I became a Hall of Famer."

We also asked Gary how he felt about his son, Gary Payton II, entering the NBA Draft -- and if he expects his kid to share the wealth when he starts making NBA dollars.

NFL legend Hines Ward might not be done with football ... telling TMZ Sports he would LOVE the chance to be the head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs ... saying it would be his "dream job."

Ward -- who played at UGA from '94 to '97 -- was at LAX when we asked about the rumors that he's interested in running a program down in Athens.

"If the opportunity presented itself, it would be a dream job," Ward said.

And get this ... as far as pay goes, Ward says he'd do it relatively cheap compared to heavy hitters like Nick Saban.

"I don't need the Saban money ... I'd just do it for the love of my University."

Kevin Durant Receiving 'Hero Award' 'For Courageously Helping Paramedics'

Kevin Durant's getting more hardware to add to his collection ... this time, it's a special HERO AWARD -- after the NBA superstar helped clear traffic for an ambulance responding to an emergency.

The Oklahoma Emergency Medical Services Authority -- which operates the largest fleet of ambulances in OK -- tells TMZ Sports a special medal is already being engraved for Durant for his actions over the weekend.

In case you haven't heard ... Durant pulled up next an ambulance in his Ferrari and used his flashers to help clear road space. Paramedics say Durant's actions helped them navigate through the traffic.

Now, the EMSA tells TMZ Sports, "Kevin’s actions are exactly how we hope citizens help paramedics reach their calls for emergencies. He is a great example of doing his part to help those in need, and he handled it with such modesty.”

Kevin will receive the special "Everyday Hero" award -- which, we're told, is usually only given out about 4 times a year.

The EMSA says it hoped to give KD his medal this week -- but can't because he's busy with the playoffs.

They're hoping to push the ceremony to June ... if you catch their drift.
