NY Mets superstar Yoenis Cespedes is putting his purple 2013 Lamborghini Aventador on the auction block ... the same car that was personally pimped out by Alex Vega at The Auto Firm in Miami.

As we previously reported, Vega outfitted the ride with a custom exhaust that actually spits fire! Vega has previously called it one of his all-time favorite custom whips.

So, why is Yoenis parting ways with it?

"It's a tough car to own in NYC," Vega said.

Bidding on the ride starts at $280k -- though it's expected to go for much more.

And get this ... the winner also gets 4 tickets to a Mets game plus a photo op with Cespedes and a signed jersey thrown into the mix.

What will Yoenis ride in now? Oh yeah, one of his other gabillion cars.

Here's the REAL Antonio Gates dishing out some advice to the guy being hailed as the NEXT Antonio Gates ... giving Baylor hoops star Rico Gathers some advice on how to make it as a tight end in the NFL.

FYI -- the 6'8", 290-pound Gathers made headlines a few weeks ago when he declared for the NFL Draft ... despite the fact he hasn't played football since he was 13.

Fun Fact -- Gates famously didn't play a single down of college football ... but used his hoops skills to become one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history.

Gathers is hoping to follow suit ... so, when we saw Antonio out in L.A. with his wife Sasha Gates -- we had to ask if he had any wisdom to share with the young fella. Pay attention kid ...

Despite the fact he flat out LIED -- Dana White tells TMZ Sports Conor McGregor's not in his dog house ... and he's considering re-booking the UFC superstar as early as UFC 201 in August.

White was leaving Bouchon Bistro in Beverly Hills ... on his way to support Paige VanZant at "Dancing with the Stars" ... when we asked WHY he thinks McGregor posted the fake fight confirmation on Twitter Monday morning.

"I don't know ... I don't know why he did," White said ... "I still have not talked to him."

Mike Vick says he's training his ass off to return to the NFL ... with his rep telling TMZ Sports the QB would love to stay in Pittsburgh, but he's open to playing for any team in the league.

Earlier this month, Vick told reporters he's got "one more dedicated season in my blood" -- but also said he'd be okay if he didn't get picked up by a team in 2016.

Well, we're told Vick is still preparing as if he will play in '16 -- "He's training every single day. [He's] staying ready mentally and physically."

When asked if he had any preference, Vick's rep told us he loved playing in Pittsburgh "but he'll be ready wherever he goes."

Vick is currently a free agent -- but his rep reminded us that he didn't get picked up last year until the end of August ... so he's not sweating it yet.

Donald Trump just secured a pretty solid endorsement in the state of Indiana ... legendary Hoosiers coach Bobby Knight.

Team Trump just announced 75-year-old Knight will join Donald at a rally in Indianapolis on Wednesday -- one week before Indiana's primary.

Chyna's manager tells TMZ Sports ... he had recently struck a secret deal with the producers of the TV show "Intervention" to get Chyna help ... but she died before they could start production.

We spoke with Anthony Anzaldo ... who tells us Chyna's closest friends had become concerned about her prescription drug use in recent weeks -- worried that she was over-medicating herself with Ambien and Valium. He's adamant Chyna's issue was ONLY with Rx meds.

Anzaldo says he entered into talks with "Intervention" producers about doing an episode with Chyna -- in the hopes they could get her back on the right path before it was too late.

We're told an agreement was reached -- and the plan was to get a bunch of Chyna's closest WWE friends, including Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mick Foley, to participate in the intervention.

"An interventionalist was already lined up as was a facility that was going to take her for 90 days," Anzaldo says. We reached out to "Intervention" -- so far, no word back.

Anzaldo says he became concerned when he hadn't heard from Chyna in days and went to her Redondo Beach apartment to check in on Wednesday evening.

"I found her," Anzaldo says ... noting that he believes she died in her sleep. "She looked peaceful."

As for the future, Anzaldo says he's planning a huge memorial for Chyna -- with celebs and fans ... hoping to give Chyna the send-off she deserved.

NFL star Josh Gordon is trying a new type of hot box ... but instead of weed smoke, we're talkin' infrared saunas with virtual yoga instructors ... all in the hopes of detoxing his body.

Gordon -- on a mission to get back in the NFL after reportedly failing multiple weed tests -- recently hit up Planet Beach West Los Angeles to get something called -- and we're not making this up -- the "Hot Box Detox."

We're told Gordon did 30 minutes of yoga in a 120-degree sauna led by an on-screen virtual instructor. He followed that up with red light therapy in a standup booth, which is said to help blood circulation ... and a session in a hydro-derma fusion bed to help cleanse his pores.

The Donald is still going to bat for his boy Tom Brady -- opening up a rally in Rhode Island Monday by demanding, "LEAVE TOM BRADY ALONE!"

Trump has been a Brady supporter for a while -- and backed his longtime friend after the initial "Deflategate" suspension last year.

So now, with an appeals court ruling that Brady must serve the penalty -- Trump began his rally this morning with another staunch defense of the Patriots QB.

The brofest isn't one-sided ... remember, Brady had Trump's campaign hat proudly displayed in his locker ... though he has not given Trump his official endorsement.

NFL legend Eric Dickerson knows exactly how he wants his beloved L.A. Rams to use the #1 pick in the draft -- JARED GOFF!!!

With the debate still raging between Goff and Carson Wentz ... E.D. says he's convinced Goff is the better choice -- telling TMZ Sports he's got all the right tools.

Good news for the Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans and Bills ... an appeals court has ruled Tom Brady MUST serve his "Deflategate" suspension -- and won't play the 1st 4 games of the season.

Brady had appealed the initial punishment levied against him by NFL Commish Roger Goodell last year for his role in an alleged football deflating scheme in the AFC Championship game.

The lower court sided with Brady -- which is why he didn't have to miss a game last year. But the NFL pushed ahead with an appeal -- and the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals saw it the league's way.

Brady could have one last play -- he could appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States ... but they don't have to take the case.

Conor McGregor has NOT been added back to the UFC fight card ... this according to UFC honcho Dana White.

TMZ Sports spoke to White this morning ... who tells us, "It's not true. We haven't talked to Conor or his manager since the press conference. I don't know why he would tweet that."

He may hate our soccer team, but international soccer superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic sure loves the U.S. when it comes to pool parties.

Cleveland can stop holding its collective breath ... the LeBron vs. Bieber crisis is officially over ... and somehow, they both emerged victorious.

The two sides were scrambling to work out a plan -- (with the Bieber concert likely to get bumped to a later date) -- but to everyone's surprise, the Cavs SWEPT the Pistons in 4 games!!!

Translation -- the concert will go on as planned and everyone is happy!!

Adrien Broner says his jail wish was granted ... he DID get letters from pen pals during his 10-day stint behind bars in an Ohio jail -- and says some people even sent him MONEY!

In fact, when Broner and his crew left Playhouse nightclub in L.A. Sunday night -- he even joked about the bowling alley beatdown case against him ... but you gotta listen hard to get the joke.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Broner's been accused of beating up and robbing a former bowling buddy after a night of high stakes gambling on the lanes. Broner has denied the allegations.
