Some call it a video game simulation, Matt Barnes calls it a preview of real life.

The NBA star tells TMZ Sports he's seen the UFC video game brawl between him and Derek Fisher -- and says the way he whooped D-Fish's ass in the game is EXACTLY how it would go down for real.

"My kids showed me that," Barnes says ... "That's what would really happen if it came down to it."

Barnes also told us he doesn't need an Octagon -- he'll fight Fisher anywhere.

There's more ... we also asked asked Matt about the shout-out he got in Kanye West's song "30 Hours" -- where Kanye raps about driving 90 miles to whoop someone's ass like Matt Barnes.

"I heard it man. It was dope!"

Check out the GB Packers running back proudly displaying his guns in a tank top at LAX this weekend -- showing everyone he's been busting his ass in the gym this offseason after his coach called him out for being overweight.

Peyton Manning's new karaoke singing career just hit an unexpected snag ... 'cause one of the most famous names in R&B history says it would be a good idea if Manning stopped forever.

We got music legend Johnny Gill out in L.A. and showed him video of Peyton crooning in a Nashville bar earlier this week ... and let's put it this way ... Johnny was not impressed.

Gill knows good music ... he's been in the iconic group New Edition since 1987, and his solo album sold over 3 million copies and spawned a #1 hit.

He says none of that is EVER going to happen for Manning ... giving Peyton the age old send-off of "Don't quit your day job."

Sorry Johnny ... but he kinda already did.

Kris Humphries' sister, Kaela, had some serious fun with that Vera Wang couture bridesmaid dress she wore when Kim Kardashian married her bro -- and then trashed it!

We got photos of Kaela and her pal, Angela Kosteliz, rocking the old frock, which reportedly cost $10,000, during a fun girls night fueled by wine.

Angela tells us the pics were taken a couple years ago before Kaela moved from Minnesota to NYC. She invited friends over to help her pack, and they took turns posing in the dress.

During the evening they tore strands of tulle off the gown to make headbands. Big difference from the first time Kaela wore it -- next to Kourtney, Kylie, Khloe, and Kendall. We're gonna guess Kaela had way more fun with her GFs.

Angela says the dress ended up in a Goodwill donations pile.

NFL superstar Tyrann Mathieu says he knows the man suspected of shooting former Saints defensive end Will Smith ... and says the guy has always been a "hating ass coward."

Turns out, Mathieu -- aka the Honey Badger -- and the alleged shooter, Cardell Hayes, were both high school football stars in New Orleans ... though Hayes is 5 years older than Tyrann.

Still, Mathieu went to Twitter and wrote, "I know that dude, he been a hating ass coward.... Never knew he'd grow up to be a killer tho.... May you get what you deserve coward."

But there's more ...

Mathieu went on to blast rap music ... claiming it's "brainwashing [people like Hayes] to believe drugs and killing are the cool thing to do."

He added, "That sh*t ain't cool, cool is being a father and being able to provide ... cool is handling things like men not like cowards."

Tyrann also said he'll be dropping a rap album of his own to combat the negativity.

First Von Miller ... now another Broncos player is saying he'd be down with Johnny Manziel under center in Denver.

We got Broncos safety T.J. Ward out in NYC last night -- who told us he'd welcome Manziel to the squad with "open arms" if the powers that be signed the QB to a deal.

Just a few days ago, Von Miller voiced some serious support for Manziel -- and Manziel told TMZ Sports he'd LOVE to play on the same team as VM.

Khloe Kardashian sounds like she has undergone two years of therapy ... she is throwing in the towel in her relationship with Lamar Odom, realizing she can not save someone who does not want to be helped.

Khloe just posted an emotional, thoughtful manifesto on her failed efforts to help a husband mired in problems. She wrote, "We have to learn to stop taking on peoples problems as if they are our own. Loving people does not mean we have to carry their burdens and confusions on our back."

Khloe clearly realizes she can not be Lamar's savior and in fact even attempting that courts disaster. She says, "You forcing your beliefs and dreams down ones throat is only going to cause resentment and possibly manifest deeper issues. Possibly to the point of no return."

As you know, Khloe dropped her divorce after Lamar nearly died at a Nevada brothel, OD'ing on cocaine. It seems the last straw was last week when Lamar was caught drinking in a San Fernando Valley bar.

As we previously reported, Khloe put divorce back on the table after she heard Lamar was drinking again.

Khloe seems to think Lamar may be a hopeless case, writing, "Don't lose yourself by trying to fix what's meant to stay broken."

3:09 P.M. PT -- Prosecutors say Smith was shot in the back and right torso. Hayes appeared in court and his bond was set at $1 million.

Hayes' lawyer told the judge his client -- who he says is a pro football player -- called 911 himself, and waited for cops to arrive, but did not say why he pulled the trigger in the first place.

Former New Orleans Saints star Will Smith was shot and killed Saturday night, and it appears to be a case of road rage.

Smith and his wife were driving in New Orleans when they were involved in a fender bender. Eyewitnesses say 6 to 8 shots rang out shortly thereafter and they found the former defensive end slumped over the steering wheel.

Smith's wife was was shot twice and survived. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance. No word on her condition.

The 28-year-old shooter, Cardell Hayes, has been arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder.

Johnny Manziel was at his home away from home Saturday night -- The Nice Guy nightclub in WeHo -- and he revealed something about his real home and the roommate with whom he desperately wants to work.

Johnny told our photog he's living with Denver Broncos star Von Miller, who's been vocal about his desire to call JM his teammate.

NFL legend Willie Gault -- one of the fastest men in NFL history -- is getting back on the track to help a suspended world class Para-athlete make a triumphant return to Track & Field.

TMZ Sports has learned Gault is training Blake Leeper ... a Paralympic star who in February was slapped with a 1-year suspension from USADA stemming from a positive cocaine test in 2015.

We talked to Willie during a training session with Blake ... and he told us he took the gig 'cause he thinks Leeper deserves a second chance to chase that gold medal.

"He's a really good kid," Gault said, adding, "He made a mistake, he had a problem."

Gault ... who still competes in track events himself at age 55 ... maintains since Leeper tested positive for cocaine -- not a performance enhancing drug -- the suspension was too harsh.

"It just doesn't make sense."

We also spoke with 26-year-old Leeper ... who told our guy he's determined to live a clean life, and has actually taken a vow of sobriety.

"I'm living a complete clean life ... it's about being the 24 hour athlete on and off the track."

That's when Shawn informed us of 2 things ... he's actually a 49ers fan ... and he actually feels like his favorite team has inherited a curse ... and that curse is Chip Kelly.

Johnny Manziel is keeping the Broncos rumor-mill churning.

The former Cleveland QB was leaving The Nice Guy in WeHo Friday night when our photog opened the door for Johnny, to shoot down the rumor or embrace it ... he did the latter.

Johnny has big love for his former college teammate Von Miller .... and that seems to be a driving force for him.

BTW, the night was still young, so Johnny went down the road a piece and partied at Henry's, where he took a bottle of Ace of Spades to the face.

Lindsey Vonn has clearly moved on from ex-BF Tiger Woods, because she was in love grip Friday with "Hunger Games" star Alexander Ludwig.

Lindsey and Alex chowed down Friday night at Craig's in WeHo, and made it clear to all they're together.
