Ray Lewis claims his dream of giving 52 homes to 52 families in need was CRUSHED thanks to the bank that was funding the operation ... and now he's suing for MILLIONS to make things right.

Lewis -- along with several members of the L2 Family Foundation -- has filed a lawsuit against American Bank ... claiming AB had agreed to give L2 $5 million over 5 years to help fund Ray's program.

FYI -- the program was supposed to give 52 single moms the money they need toward the down payments of their new homes.

In exchange for the $5 mil, L2 says it agreed to give American Bank the right of first refusal on all of the mortgage loans that resulted from the program. Ray claims the bank got $4.5 mil in business from those deals.

Problem is ... Ray and L2 claim the bank "frantically" shut down the branch they were working with just 9 months into the program without explanation.

L2 says it never got the $5 million it was promised -- or any of the other benefits -- and says the closure "deprived the foundation of its ability to continue operations."

Now, Ray and L2 are suing for close to $20 MILLION -- claiming, in part, the bank has damaged Ray's stellar reputation.

We reached out to the bank for their side of the story -- but we haven't heard back.

Someone called the cops exactly one minute before tip off at a Lakers/Clippers game to inform them terrorists were in the crowd with bombs and guns and their mission was to kill in the name of Jihad.

TMZ has obtained an LAPD search warrant chronicling a chilling phone call received by an LAPD officer at 7:29 PM on January 29, 2016. According to the warrant, a "robotic voice" stated the following: "Several people in the crowd seated strategically have explosives strapped to their chest and explosives in their shoes."

The voice went on to say, "Some of them are also strapped with Glock 18, have guns and will shoot any patron that may come in their path. We are doing this for Allah and for Jihad. We are going to slaughter the patrons of tonight's Lakers/Clippers game and there is no one that can stop us."

The caller wasn't done ... "We have people hostage in some of the bathrooms already and we shot one in the knee cap. You are all going to f***** die tonight, you filthy Americans."

According to the warrant, the police believe the call came from a Skype line and the culprit used a robotic voice to mask his/her identity.

The cops got a search warrant to force Skype to hand over the account information connected to the number.

So, Vader's naked penis was unleashed on the world Friday via Twitter ... but the ex-WWE superstar says it was a MISTAKE -- and he's pointing the finger at a vengeful ex-girlfriend.

The pic of Vader's junk was quickly removed from his Twitter page shortly after it went public -- and the 60-year-old was quick to explain how it happened.

"I want to apologize to everyone. My ExGirlfriend hacked my account and sent out an inappropriate picture. Please except my apology."

Vanessa Bryant sure made one hell of an entrance at the Duke vs. Oregon game in Anaheim Thursday night ... FALLING HARD ... and almost taking out Kobe in the process!!

The Bryants were walking from the tunnel to their seats when Vanessa lost her footing and went tumbling forward ... nearly pulling down Kobe ... and leaving a fancy Louboutin heel in her wake.

Miraculously, Kobe wasn't hurt during the incident ... and Vanessa picked herself right up.

The Louboutin also emerged unscathed.

Andre Berto is adamant he did NOT call Victor Ortiz a "f*g" during a fight at their press conference this week -- telling TMZ Sports, "I respect gay people."

Kyrie Irving might be able to give Justin Bieber a run for his money at the skate park ... 'cause the NBA star can REALLY skate ... so says skate legend Eric Koston.

Koston is one of the all time greats -- and has skated with TONS of celebs. So, when we asked him to name some of the best ... he told us Kyrie was on the list.

In fact, Koston says Kyrie's been to his private skate park and killed it -- busting out some super impressive tricks.

Greatness respects greatness ... so says Ric Flair who tells TMZ Sports he got major props from LeBron James who once called him "The Inventor of Swag!"

Flair was out in NYC with his daughter, WWE Divas Champion Charlotte, (he's super proud of her accomplishments btw) -- when we asked if there was one celeb he'd consider a pro wrestling superfan.

The answer -- LeBron!!

Flair says James has been a huge fan for decades and once gave him one of the best compliments he's EVER received!

The ex-NFL player who starved his dog to death is officially behind bars to serve his 9 month sentence ... and TMZ Sports has his mug shot from when he was originally arrested.

We've learned ... 27-year-old Terrence Cody has checked in at the Baltimore County Detention Center ... a place that only has 1 star on Yelp (seriously, we checked).

The Baltimore County PD has now released Cody's original mug shot -- taken in February 2015 -- when he was initially arrested.

Cody was a former Ravens defensive tackle -- but was cut in 2015 after he was convicted on various animal cruelty charges, including illegal possession of an alligator.

Adrien Broner may be done in by instant replay -- 'cause police say they have video from the alleged violent robbery outside of a Cincinnati bowling alley that could sink the boxer.

TMZ Sports has confirmed ... officials have video from outside of the Cincinnati bowling alley -- which they believe will help prove Broner beat up and robbed a man with a gun on January 21st.

Sources connected to the case tell us the video is grainy and dark and you can't see any fighting -- you CAN hear a voice that sounds like Broner demanding, "Give me my money back."

We're told you can also hear people imploring Broner -- "A.B. chill ... A.B. c'mon!"

Broner has been charged with felonious assault and robbery -- and faces serious prison time if convicted.

Shaq's son says he's 100% confident he can BEAT his old man on the court -- saying the NBA legend is just too old and slow to keep up!!

For the record, Shareef O'Neal is a stud in his own right -- becoming one of the top high school players in the country. And when we saw him out in L.A. Thursday, Reef told us he's VERY confident in his skills.

"Now that I'm 6'9", it's way easier for me to compete against him," Shareef said ... "He's slow. He can't guard me! I'm too quick for him!"

Signing with the Cleveland Browns could be the BEST thing RG3 ever did -- so says Jay Glazer who tells TMZ Sports if there's one guy who can resurrect the QB, it's Hue Jackson!

The NFL on FOX reporter was at The Grove in L.A. when he raved about the Browns head coach -- explaining why he thinks Jackson might have the magic touch that can bring back the old RG3.

As TMZ reported ... Luke and Katt got into it during a soccer game, and the jawing continued after the match. Luke got in Katt's face, Katt punched him and Luke took the comedian down.

We're told cops are investigating the incident and the consequences could be serious for Katt ... his bail could be revoked.

Boxing superstar Andre Berto says he spoke with Conor McGregor earlier this week -- and tells TMZ Sports he strongly feels the guy should NOT rush into a rematch with Nate Diaz.

Berto's not just a premiere boxer (fighting Victor Ortiz in April) -- but he comes from an MMA family with his father, brother and SISTER all having competed in the Octagon.

So, when Berto told us he's been in contact with The Notorious ... we had to ask if he had advice for the UFC star.

Long story short ... Berto's not against a rematch with Diaz -- just not right now.

"I think that he should probably take another fight or two first," Berto said.

Memphis Grizzlies superstar Zach Randolph has been accused of strangling a woman at an L.A. hotel ... though he is adamant her allegations are 100% false.

Seems Draymond Green is off the hook for that whole 118 mph video -- with the California Highway Patrol telling us "We can’t investigate an infraction that wasn’t committed in our presence."

As we previously reported, Green posted a video of a car hitting 118 mph on a NorCal highway on his Snapchat ... and in what might have been a confession, he later called the whole thing "bad judgment."

We spoke with the California Highway Patrol to find out if they're investigating the situation and they told us straight up -- no.

"The CHP is not investigating this video because it’s not at the level of reckless driving," CHP public information officer Daniel Hill tells us.

"Driving over 100, though dangerous, is not necessarily reckless. It would just be an infraction and we can’t investigate an infraction that wasn’t committed in our presence."

Michael Jordan doesn't hate rap -- and never EVER dissed Method Man and Redman ... despite what rapper N.O.R.E. said this week ... this according to MJ's rep.

N.O.R.E. went on the Rap Radar Podcast and told a story about MJ's alleged anti-rap comments at a Def Jam Xmas party went viral this week -- with N.O.R.E. insisting Jordan told the partygoers, "F**k rap."

He went into great detail ... saying Jordan would only speak with Jay Z at the party -- blowing off the other rappers in the process.

But MJ's rep, Estee Portnoy, says it's just not true -- telling TMZ Sports, "MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music."

She adds, "Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his with the Charlotte Hornets."
