Cordell Broadus has met with UCLA football coach Jim Mora and has been given permission to rejoin the football team after quitting back in August ... UCLA confirms.

The D.A.'s investigation into the LeSean McCoy bar fight is running "silent and deep" -- with no decision expected to be made this week -- this according to our Philly law enforcement sources.

Investigators have been on the case since February ... when McCoy and friends allegedly beat up several off-duty cops at Recess Lounge in Philly.

Cops concluded their investigation roughly 3 weeks ago and kicked the case over to the D.A.'s office -- recommending aggravated assault charges for McCoy.

The D.A.'s office says it's still conducting its own investigation before making an official decision -- and a rep tells us there is no timeframe for when a decision will be reached. We were told it won't come before next week.

We spoke with a Philly law enforcement source with knowledge of the situation who tells us the D.A.'s office is keeping police "in the dark" and called the situation "weird."

"They are running silent and deep. Assault cases are usually cut and dry."

As for McCoy -- he doesn't seem worried ... catching the Knicks vs. Suns game in AZ Wednesday.

President Barack Obama stuck it to Canada this morning ... hitting the Prime Minister over the subject that hurts the most -- HOCKEY!!!!

Obama was with P.M. Justin Trudeau at the White House talking about things the two countries will never agree on. One of those things ... who's better at hockey.

When Trudeau sniped, "Don't get me started" ... Obama replied, "Where's the Stanley Cup right now?"

"I'm sorry, is it in my hometown with the Chicago Blackhawks?!"

Johnny Manziel's career is "on the verge of being over" ... so says NFL legend Tony Gonzalez.

Tony G was out in Bev Hills Wednesday when we brought up Manziel's partying streak and asked if it matters with NFL GMs. The short answer ... yes.

"I don't know who's gonna give him a shot," Tony said.

"Who's gonna put up with that? If you're not good and you're messing up, people aren't gonna take a chance on you."

Tony says Johnny "might get one more shot" -- but if he does, dude better treat it like it's the last shot he'll EVER get.

BTW, we also spoke with Tony about his upcoming role in the new 'xXx' movie -- and dude's fired up about it. Even heaped some praise on Vin Diesel.

Don King says he LOVED Johnnie Cochran -- and Wednesday night he paid tribute to the legal legend by busting out JC's most famous line ever ... right in the middle of the street!

Little background ... we had asked King if he thought race was a factor when a NYC cabbie refused to pick up NBA legend Kenny Smith, when King began to preach about race in America.

That's when someone brought up Johnnie Cochran ... who King praised as a wonderful guy.

Don't worry, King wasn't just doing Johnnie's material -- he also dropped his own signature catchphrase.

Johnny Manziel celebrated the fact he wasn't cut from the Browns Wednesday night ... hitting up a Hollywood nightclub for the 3rd night in a row!!!

TMZ Sports shot footage of Manziel rolling into Warwick with a pretty lady on his arm (Update: Busted Coverage says pretty lady is his sister Meri).

We asked Johnny if he was worried all the clubbing would hurt his chances to get picked up by another team. His lips were sealed as he strolled past the line and into the club.

Manziel left just before 2 AM -- and got into a waiting car with a couple of girls.

It's been a busy week for Johnny ... Ace of Diamonds strip club on Monday, 1 OAK on Tuesday and now Warwick.

Hope he finds time to work out ...

Reggie Bush only has HIMSELF to blame for slipping, falling and injuring himself at the Edward Jones Dome back in November ... so says the city of St. Louis in new court docs obtained by TMZ Sports.

As we previously reported, Bush sued the city (which owns the stadium) -- claiming it stupidly installed a ring of concrete around the perimeter of the field ... incredibly dangerous for the players wearing slippery cleats.

Bush badly injured his left knee during a fall on the concrete on Nov. 1st -- just one week after another player injured his shoulder slipping on the surface ... and he says the city must pay.

But the city is calling BS -- saying Bush knew about the concrete ring and should have SLOWED DOWN before reaching it.

The city of St. Louis says Bush could have "stopped, slackened his speed to have avoided the accident."

"[Bush] assumed the risk of running on concrete in shoes with cleats on them, and of all danger inherent of playing football."

The craziest part of this lawsuit ... Bush was PUSHED past the playing field and onto the ring.

She's about to be suspended from the court ... but Maria Sharapova still has the beach -- and today, she grabbed her racket to hit some balls on the sand.

Despite the fact Nike suspended her deal in the wake of her failed drug test, Maria was sporting Swoosh pants and shoes on an L.A. beach Wednesday afternoon ... with a smile on her face.

Maria admitted she tested positive for a banned substance at the Australian Open back in January -- and the International Tennis Federation has announced she'll be provisionally suspended starting March 12th.

In the meantime, might as well get a tan right?

Flutie was out in NYC doing a little press for 'DWTS' when one of our photogs, Adam, decided he'd lend the NFL legend a helping hand ... and show him a move that will surely defeat his opposition.

You gotta see this -- Doug is rendered speechless by the gyrations he witnesses on the streets of New York, and doesn't seem like he's too interested in recreating them for America.

Antonio Cromartie might currently be jobless but he just gave the world 1.1 million reasons not to pass the hat around for him just yet ... showing off his ridiculous car collection.

Cromartie was cut by the NY Jets earlier this month but that didn't stop him from treating his whips to a little spa day in New Jersey ... calling a crew to come out to his crib to spiffy up the rides.

So, what got pampered? Cromartie's 2016 cherry red Lambo (price tag $600k), white Bentley (price tag $218k), along with a Range Rover ($85k), a Cadillac Escalade and of course ... a Prius.

All tolled ... $1.1 million worth of "Screw you, I'm still rich" to anyone who was wondering.

Here's "Inside the NBA" star Kenny "The Jet" Smith about to get into a cab in NYC Tuesday ... only to get turned down.

The cabbie says he was finished with his shift. It was 2:48 PM.

When asked why he thinks he was rejected, Smith says, "I guess he didn't like money."

BTW, it was also Kenny's birthday.

Terry Crews thinks the war of words between Justin Bieber and Nate Diaz should be a WAR OF FISTS ... saying he firmly believes the best way for the men to settle their beef is to throw down!!!

Crews was out at Craig's when we asked how the guys in Hollywood's newest celebrity feud should settle their beef ... a beef that started when Bieber dissed Diaz's fighting style on social media.

Of course, Diaz fired back on the "TMZ Sports" TV show -- saying, "F**k that fool."

But Terry -- who stars in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" -- says the time for talk is OVER and it's time for the guys to settle it like men ... IN THE OCTAGON!!!!

We haven't seen a rose controversy this big since "The Bachelor" ... Orlando Magic star Brandon Jennings caused a sweet smelling spectacle leaving 1 OAK Tuesday night ... just trying to be a gentleman.

Jennings and his crew were piling into a sprinter van when he decided to spring for some street roses ... presumably for the ladies accompanying him to the after-party.

That's when all hell broke loose ... Brandon paid -- or didn't pay -- the right dude for the right flowers and a red petaled rebellion ensued that we're not sure was ever totally figured out.

Holly Holm's manager says Dana White "hates my guts" for allowing Holly to fight Miesha Tate before a Rousey rematch ... telling TMZ Sports, "It's personal."

White went on ESPN Tuesday and trashed Lenny Fresquez -- saying, "He's an old boxing guy who thinks he's smart, and he's not."

White added, "I don't know if Holly really knows what she lost. I think she has so much faith in the people that surround her, she feels like, 'Well, they got me this far.'"

Now, Fresquez is firing back ... telling TMZ Sports the idea he forced Holly to fight Miesha is "ludicrous."

"I didn't make Holly fight Miesha. Holly is the boss. I work for her. We gave her the different options. Fight Miesha in March. Wait for Ronda in November or December. She said, 'I don't want to wait. I want to fight.'"

As for Dana's comments, Fresquez says ... "Dana hates my guts. It's personal. How could it be my fault? Holly is the boss."

When contacted by TMZ Sports, Dana White explained, "When we met with them [Holly] wasn’t even in the meeting. Holly wasn’t present when we were talking about her money or any of it. It's Holly’s life, and Holly’s career. She should have been in the meeting too."

After the fight, Fresquez says Holly addressed the team and took full responsibility -- "Holly told us, 'I'm not Monday morning quarterbacking anything. Everyone did their job except me.'"

As for her next fight, Fresquez says Holly wants a rematch with Miesha -- "We'd like to fight Miesha at UFC 200 in July. Then fight Ronda in November."

More sad and disturbing details in the arrest of ex-Cowboys running back Joseph Randle -- cops say a beer pong game was at the center of the violent incident that culminated with JR hitting people with his car.

TMZ Sports obtained a police report in which cops say they spoke with several witnesses who claim 24-year-old Randle attended a housewarming party in Wichita, KS on Feb. 21st and played a game of beer pong.

But an argument broke out about who won the match -- with Randle pushing the opposing player onto the balcony of the home. The other man apologized and the situation was briefly diffused.

Randle then went downstairs and continued acting aggressive -- so the party hosts asked him to leave.

Instead, cops say Randle ran back upstairs and attacked party guests -- until several people wrangled Randle and literally pushed him out of the home.

One of the hosts followed Randle outside and asked him to leave -- instead, Randle got in the car and punched it in his direction ... striking the man at somewhere between 20 and 30 mph.

The man was thrown over the top of the car. When others came to assist the victim Randle struck again ... hitting 2 more people.

One of the female victims was hospitalized after losing consciousness several times from the attack.

Randle was eventually arrested and hit with a slew of charges including aggravated battery, threats, possession of marijuana and interfering with law enforcement.

Mark Wahlberg ain't buyin' Calvin Johnson's retirement announcement -- saying he hopes the whole thing is just a ploy so CJ can join the New England Patriots.

Wahlberg was out in Bev Hills when a photog broke the news to him about CJ's retirement from the Detroit Lions.

MW's reaction -- "Wow, well hopefully he just did that to get out of his contract with Detroit. Then he'll come to New England and get a ring!"

"He needs a ring! He's too good ... he's got too much left in the tank."

Wahlberg also talked about Peyton Manning -- giving the guy some serious props ... and predicted how much longer his good friend Tom Brady will stay in the league.
