Herschel Walker's got his old boss' back -- ripping Mitt Romney for his anti-Trump speech this morning ... essentially calling the guy a loser.
Walker has been an extremely vocal supporter of his 'Celebrity Apprentice' boss -- previously telling TMZ Sports he believes Trump will "save America."
Now, with Mitt Romney blasting Trump this morning as a "phoney" who is dangerous for the country -- and John McCain also denouncing him -- Walker went to bat for Donald with a new statement:
"McCain and Romney lost the playoffs years ago yet they want to talk about someone getting ready for the Super Bowl ... Think about that."
By the way, Walker's not the only 'Celeb Apprentice' star who's stood by The Donald -- Terrell Owens, Gary Busey and Stephen Baldwin are also team Trump.

Kam Chancellor 911 Call 'They're Bad News' 'Pounding On Our Doors'
The gym staffer who called 911 on Kam Chancellor said the Seahawks player was "bad news" -- and had been "pounding" on the doors ... even though the gym was closed.
TMZ Sports obtained the 911 call ... in which the woman at the Redmond Athletic Club in Washington describes 5 people (3 black and 2 white) who came to the gym unannounced.
The woman said she explained that the gym was closed, but the group refused to go -- "They're trying to get in and we've told them multiple times they need to leave."
At one point, the woman says, "I don't know if they're homeless kids ... I know there used to be a lot of heroin addicts around here."
Eventually, cops came to the scene and spoke with Chancellor -- who explained his side of the story. No arrests were made and cops say Kam was a "super nice guy."

Kam Chancellor Gym Owner Says Race Not an Issue In Police Incident
The owner of the Washington gym Kam Chancellor was scouting out Wednesday night tells TMZ Sports he has reached out to the Seahawks star to explain why his employees called police on him ... and says he still wants to make a deal.
If you haven't heard ... Chancellor says he was scouting the Redmond Athletic Club last night because he was interested in buying the place -- and went to the building with friends to check it out.
Problem was ... the gym was not open and staffers inside called police because they were concerned.
Kam tweeted, "They told the cops I was trying to rob the place because I was looking into the glass asking for help."
Many people believe the call to cops may have been racially motivated because Kam is black.
But we spoke with the owner of the gym, Ryan Neal, who tells us, "We have reviewed the situation and can assure you that race was not an issue here."
Neal says the gym has recently had attemped break-ins and the staff was told to call cops if it appeared anyone was trying to gain access to the gym while it was closed.
Neal says he has reached out to Chancellor -- and says he would love to talk business if Kam is still interested in buying the gym.

Erin Andrews I Want That Marriott Guy Who Ogled Me Back on the Stand
11:45 AM PT: The defense has rested their case. Closing arguments will begin Friday.
Erin Andrews and her legal team want to re-grill the Marriott exec who went to a Nashville restaurant Tuesday night with friends and watched the now-infamous nude peephole video ... TMZ has learned.
It's a huge development ... we're told Erin's lawyers will ask the judge to allow them to force Neal Peskind back on the stand. Peskind admitted he was at the restaurant when 2 of his friends watched the video at the table. A waitress said she watched all 3 people at the table as they mocked Erin's body.
Peskind admits his friends looked at the video, but says he asked them to turn it off.
This could be the equivalent of the O.J. glove demonstration ... a disaster for Marriott. Andrews wants $75 million, claiming she's haunted by the video everywhere she goes. If the jury hears a Marriott exec himself was playing the video at a social gathering right in the middle of the trial, it could have a seismic impact on the case.
The judge has not ruled on whether Peskind can be recalled.
