Johnny Manziel's ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley is still in fear after the alleged hitting incident -- so much so, she went to court to get protection from Manziel.

Ex-NFL wide receiver Titus Young has been arrested in Los Angeles for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly beating up a guy in a street fight ... TMZ Sports has learned.

According to documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Young caused "serious bodily injury" to the other man in the fight on January 30th.

We're told he was later charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury -- and if convicted, he could face up to 4 years for the battery ... plus an additional 5 years due to his priors.

The 26-year-old has a long troubled history with the law -- having been arrested several times since being cut from the Detroit Lions back in 2012.

Young was arrested 3 times in one week in 2013 for DUI, attempting to steal his car from the impound lot and burglary.

So, we saw Dallas Cowboys CEO Stephen Jones (Jerry's son) in San Francisco Thursday and had to ask the question everyone wants to know ... is there real interest in Johnny Manziel?

His reaction ... he wasn't exactly doing backflips for the troubled QB.

Dave Matthews Band rocked San Fran Thursday night at a killer pre-Super Bowl party.

DIRECTV & Pepsi sponsored the concert on Pier 70 to kickoff the 50th Super Bowl weekend.

The party was aptly titled "Super Thursday Night" and it will continue through Sunday featuring Pharrell Williams and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

As if free booze wasn't kind enough, the party was catered by celeb hotspot steakhouse STK offering sweet corn pudding cups, candied bacon cones, and Captain Crunch Cookies. Captain Crunch Cookies!

More hilariousness from Marshawn Lynch courtesy of his former teammate Justin Forsett -- who introduced Beast Mode to Periscope Thursday night ... and even got the RB to drop a live "deez nutz" joke.

Forsett was Periscoping from Marshawn's new Beast Mode store in Oakland when #24 came into the shot and tried to figure out what the hell Forsett was doing.

The clip is hilarious ... once Forsett explains that Marshawn is streaming out live to hundreds of people, Lynch totally comes out of his shell.

The University of Louisville basketball team -- ranked #19 in the country -- has banned itself from the NCAA tourney for 1 year over possible rules violations stemming from an alleged prostitution scandal.

The allegations made headlines back in October when self-described madam Katina Powell ... claimed U of L staff paid her more than $10,000 for dancing and sex services from her stable of escorts.

In her book, Powell singles out ex-Louisville staffer Andre McGee -- a graduate assistant who became director of basketball operations -- claiming he was the point man who paid Powell.

Now, with the NCAA investigating the claims -- the University has apparently tried to preemptively punish itself ... according to Yahoo's Pat Forde.

IndyCar stud Marco Andretti is officially on the road to marriage ... proposing to his hot Polish model girlfriend ... and she said yes!

Marco -- grandson of racing legend Mario Andretti -- popped the question to Marta Krupa ... who he's reportedly been connected with since 2008.

Krupa is the younger sister of reality star Joanna Krupa -- who's appeared on 'Real Housewives' and "Dancing with the Stars."

Jim Brown did it big for his 80th bday Thursday night -- with tons of HUGE STARS showing up to party ... and toasting the NFL legend with some of the most expensive booze at the bar!

It all went down at the St. Regis in San Fran -- where stars like Ray Lewis, Emmitt Smith, Ronnie Lott, Ludacris and Swizz Beatz and more partied at the event thrown by Haute Living.

But the highlight was the group toast ... where 100 people each raised a glass of Louis XIII cognac -- which goes for $350 per shot at the hotel.

There's more ... Brown was also presented with a painting from street artist MadSteez ... a painting that had been sold for $25,000.

In the end, we're told the event raised $100k for Brown's charity

Todd Gurley says he's ready for his close-up ... telling TMZ Sports he's DOWN to get into acting now that the Rams are moving to L.A. -- and he could be HUUUUGE!!

Future arrived in L.A. with some adorable carry-on -- his 1-year-old son, Future Jr. ... a clear sign his war with Ciara's cooling down.

Future arrived at LAX Thursday night with his son clinging to him as they walked outside. Our sources tell us dad and son have been together for about a week now.

We're told this is the first time Future's had the kid since he and Jr.'s mom, Ciara, had a blowout about custody issues during the holidays.

While Future's getting QT ... Ciara's on vacay with Russell Wilson. Looks like a win-win.

Commissioner Dogg? Maybe.

We got Hines Ward out in San Fran last night and asked if Snoop -- a hardcore fan who runs his own youth football league -- could ever be an executive in the NFL.

Turns out ... Hines is all about it!

"Snoop would be a great commissioner in the NFL," Ward said ... "He keeps it real. Keeps the fan base excited. Snoop's the man! I think he should run for commissioner!"

Johnny Manziel's father says he's tried to get his son into rehab TWICE in the past week -- but Johnny refuses -- and now he's concerned he could die if he doesn't get help, asap.

Paul Manziel spoke with the Dallas Morning News and said, "I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday."

Paul told DMN his family first tried to admit 23-year-old Johnny to the Enterhealth Ranch addiction facility in Van Alstyne on Saturday (after the incident with Colleen Crowley) -- but he refused to stay.

On Tuesday, Paul Manziel said he tried a second time ... begging his son to enter the Carrollton Springs Hospital ... which specializes in treating patients who suffer from mental illness and/or addiction.

Again, Johnny refused to stay ... Paul says.

They says it's better to be lucky then good ... and that's exactly what the Broncos are according to Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell ... who says it'd be his team in San Fran if he'd never gotten hurt.

Bell's been out with a knee injury since November and when we saw him at the Madden party at Super Bowl 50 we had to know ... would things have been different if he was 100%?

Johnny Manziel's agent has just officially cut ties with the embattled QB -- with Erik Burkhardt telling Adam Schefter he feels the relationship has reached the point of no return.

"It is with deep regret that, after several emotional and very personal discussions with his family, his doctors, and my client himself, I have made the decision to terminate my professional relationship with Johnny Manziel."

"Though I will remain a friend and Johnny supporter and he knows I have worked tirelessly to arrange a number of professional options for him to continue to pursue, it has become painfully obvious that his future rests solely in his own hands."

"His family and I have gone to great lengths to outline the steps we feel he must take to get his life in order."

The move comes one day after cops released a police report which shows Manziel's ex-GF, Colleen Crowley, accused him of striking her several times and threatening to kill them during an argument last weekend.
