TMZ Sports spoke with Browns head coach Hue Jackson Wednesday night -- and asked him straight up how he feels about Johnny Manziel -- and his response, "I want to focus on the positive not the negative."

Jackson was at Jay Glazer's Glazer Palooza charity event -- to raise money for Jay's MVP organization for military vets -- when we asked about Manziel's future with the team and in the NFL.

Not so fast party animals -- there are some pretty strict house rules ... no smoking, no indoor football, a maximum of 2 guests and sorry pup lovers ... absolutely NO pets.

Brandon Marshall is calling for everyone to back off Johnny Manziel -- claiming he is suffering from an illness and needs help and support before it's too late.

The NY Jets wide receiver appeared on "Whitlock's House Party By the Bay" on FS1 Wednesday and said whatever Manziel is suffering from is a disease that needs to be treated.

Marshall says the pressures of the NFL can exacerbate issues -- and says he knows firsthand about what it's like to suffer from mental illness.

But the key, Brandon says, is Johnny needs to focus on treatment the same way he would prepare for an NFL game -- with 100% of his energy ... because that's what worked for him.

Ex-NFL running back Joseph Randle knew the impact his latest arrest would have on his future -- telling the Irving PD, "This is the end of my career."

TMZ Sports obtained footage from Feb. 1st -- the night Randle was taken into custody in Texas on a speeding warrant. Randle had appeared at his baby mama's house -- but wasn't welcome and cops were called.

When they arrived ... Randle tried to explain why he was there in the first place ... but he makes little sense.

Eventually, cops ran Randle's info and saw the warrant -- and were instructed to take him into custody.

As police put Randle in cuffs, he knew he would be back in the news.

"They're going to put this all over the place ... 'Randle arrested again.'"

Randle has since been released from custody. So far, no word on when he's due back in court.

Former WWE superstar Shad Gaspard -- part of the tag team Cryme Tyme -- says he and JTG are ready to make their triumphant return to the WWE ... if Triple H will have them back.

TMZ Sports spoke with Gaspard out in L.A. and he told us straight up -- "The honest truth is me and Jay would love to come back to the company."

Shad was released from the WWE back in 2010 and has focused on his acting career ... but says his true passion is wrestling -- and he's confident he can come back better than ever.

Looks like Eric Decker's having a good time at NY Fashion week ... and so is his wife!

The NY Jets wide receiver was a runway model at one of the shows -- and his country singer wife Jessie James Decker was so impressed, she jumped all over him the second he got off the catwalk.

MC Hammer is already clearing out his schedule for June -- telling TMZ Sports he's fired up and ready to party with the Golden State Warriors again ... when the team repeats as NBA champs!

Remember, Hammer -- a huge GSW fan -- took a private jet to Cleveland for the finals last year and then raged with the team after they clinched the title!

And when we saw MC leaving Fat Burger in Bev Hills Tuesday -- he told us he's ready to do it again ... and expects the team to dominate for many years to come.

Lil Wayne and George Washington co-star in a Super Bowl commercial this year -- but some people are taking issue, since it shows Wayne cooking for George ... who famously owned slaves.

The ad for Apartments.com features Jeff Goldblum and a gospel choir singing 'Jeffersons' theme "Moving On Up." Eventually you see George and Weezy (get the reference?) all chummy next to a rooftop barbecue grill.

The criticism? The ad is low-key racist due to Washington's history as a slaver, but Wayne's camp doesn't see it that way ... at all. A source very close to him says the commercial is "meant to be funny and silly and not the least bit offensive."

The source added it's supposed to be comedy, and "people need to calm down."

We've also reached out to Apartments.com, but no word back yet. Either way, their ad's getting way more attention now.
