But the best part is Whoo Kid -- who says he just smoked the "BIGGEST JOINT EVER" ... and it's heavily impacted his cheering decision.

Awesome moment Tuesday courtesy of Vernon Davis -- when he surprised a hardcore Broncos fan at a Children's Hospital near the Super Bowl ... and the fan was so excited, he could barely talk!

It all went down at Stanford Children's Health -- where Alex -- an 18-year-old Broncos fan -- has been courageously battling cancer and heart problems since he was 5 years old.

We're told the hospital tweeted out to several Broncos players asking if anyone could stop by -- and lo and behold, the tweets got to Vernon's people.

The tight end immediately cleared his schedule and made plans to go to the hospital -- what ensued was a pretty special moment.

We spoke with a rep for the hospital who tells us the two talked about everything from the Super Bowl to what Peyton Manning is like in real life. The two also took pics together and Vernon signed a football.

In the end, we're told the experience was a "dream come true" for Alex.

Pretty cool.

Good news for the son of Denver Broncos owner John Bowlen -- a judge has agreed to let him go to the Super Bowl ... despite the fact he's facing criminal charges stemming from an alleged dom. violence incident.

As we previously reported, 30-year-old John Bowlen Jr. was arrested back in June '15 after allegedly shoving his girlfriend in his Denver-area apartment during a domestic dispute.

John's GF called 911 -- but the call was cut short (the last thing the operator heard was a woman screaming) ... and when the operator called back, Bowlen went on a bizarre rant and referred to himself as the "blood of the city."

He's facing charges for harassment and telephone obstruction and has been ordered to stay away from the woman.

But TMZ Sports has learned ... Bowlen has filed a motion with the court asking for permission to travel to California from 2/4 to 2/7 ... presumably to watch his family's team play in SB50.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, the motion was granted without objection.

Issues be damned ... Dallas Cowboys superfan Jermaine Dupri says he wants Johnny Manziel on his squad next season -- telling TMZ Sports, "We need some drama on our team!"

Despite the fact he's an Atlanta legend -- Dupri says he's ALL ABOUT the 'Boys ... and believes Johnny's talents outweigh the risks.

Tim Tebow is officially on the prowl ... telling Ellen DeGeneres he's single and looking -- and dude knows EXACTLY what he wants in a partner.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Hilary gets to keep her interest in a Malibu mobile home -- it's a very ritzy thing among the rich.

Snoop Dogg's on his way to his Tuesday night gig in San Francisco, and says all his concert gear is safe with him at this moment.

Snoop posted a vid that looks like it was shot in the back of his limo ... saying our story about laptops and other equipment for his show getting stolen wasn't true.

However, our law enforcement sources confirm the driver of the jacked SUV told police the stuff that was swiped was SPECIFICALLY for Snoop's show at the Regency.

The owner of the Oakland Raiders tells TMZ Sports ... he does in fact own the domain LasVegasRaiders.com -- and has for years -- "just in case" the Silver and Black move to Sin City.

We spoke with Mark Davis who confirmed he personally bought the domain back in the '90s "in case the team ever wound up in Vegas."

"I think it's only $8 per year ... so, it's worth it in case we end up there."

When asked why he liked Vegas as a possible destination, Davis said -- "It's close to where we are now. It would be a close trip for our fans and there are a lot of sports fans who visit Vegas."

One other interesting thing ... Davis told us he believes the Raiders are the only NFL team that could "exist" out in Vegas.

So far, it seems Vegas could still be in the cards for the team -- especially with Las Vegas Sands honcho Sheldon Adelson gunning to build a $1 billion stadium on the UNLV campus.

The NBA is a much more peaceful place now than it was back in the '70s ... so says a guy who would know, Kermit Washington.
