Ex-College Football Star Gets Life In Prison ... For Multiple Rapes

Published | Updated

A former college football star -- who later became a police officer -- has just been sentenced to 263 years behind bars for raping several black women while on patrol in Oklahoma City.

Daniel Holtzclaw was a pretty damn good linebacker at Eastern Michigan from 2005 to 2008 and later got a tryout with the Detroit Lions ... though he didn't make the squad.

But he turned out to be a very bad guy ... and Thursday, he was hit with a life sentence after he was found guilty on 18 counts of raping and sexually abusing at least 8 women while on patrol as a cop.

Prosecutors say Holtzclaw preyed on women in a low-income neighborhood in OKC -- would search them for illegal drugs -- and then rape them ... while threatening to arrest them if they said anything.

One of the victims was only 17.

Aroldis Chapman Off the Hook In Dom. Violence Case Injured Hand Punching Door

Published | Updated

10:42 AM PT -- The State Attorney released a memo explaining its decision to not file charges -- and in the note, revealed several details from the investigation.

One of the interesting notes ... investigators say Chapman admitted to injuring his hand (didn't say which hand) when he punched a car window following an argument with his GF that night.

The document does not explain the extent of the injury.

Chapman also told investigators he did NOT punch his GF during the argument -- but rather "poked her on the left shoulder and told her not to talk to him like that."

As for the gun, prosecutors say no one ever actually saw Chapman fire the gun -- but even if he did, it was on his private property and didn't violate any Florida laws.

NY Yankees pitcher Aroldis Chapman will NOT be prosecuted for an alleged domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend back in October ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

As we previously reported, Chapman's girlfriend told police he attacked her on Oct. 30th -- choking and pushing her -- after she got suspicious about something on his cell phone. Chapman allegedly went to his garage and fired off several rounds by himself, but no one was hit.

We're told the case was kicked over to the Florida State Attorney's office for review -- but officials tell TMZ Sports ... prosecutors ultimately decided not to move forward with criminal charges against 27-year-old Chapman because there was not enough evidence to get a conviction.

After the allegations went public, the NY Yankees signed Chapman -- with owner Hal Steinbrenner saying he believes the pitcher is "innocent until proven otherwise."

I HOLD BACK FOR THE KIDS

Snoop Dogg says he has a strict NO POT POLICY when it comes to coaching in his youth football league ... and it's all because one of the players once called him out for being high.

Snoop opened up about the situation on "Kocktails with Khloe" on FYI Wednesday night ... saying, he was so affected when the kid called him out, he implemented a self-ban on the green stuff when he's around the kids.

"I went to practice high one day and one of the kids said 'coach, you smell like my momma's boyfriend.' And I had to check myself and I stopped smoking from that day for 180 days straight."

"And it made me a better coach, a better person, and I stopped smoking when I was coaching football. So every year when I coach football around the kids, I don't smoke, so that's 3 months out of the year that I do that."
